  • "We had a fantastic stay at Shillings Cottage."

It was clean, felt like a home away from home and everything worked as described. Diana was a brilliant host. She took time to explain everything to us, especially with the pool and was very helpful. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

  • "All in all this was a very pleasant stay."

The grounds were spectacular and the swimming pool was an added bonus. Some maintenance was being done during our stay, this included sanding furniture and sawing. It wasn’t a huge problem but it did disturb the peace and quiet somewhat.

Dear Ann, I’m really pleased to hear you had a pleasant stay at Shillings Cottage. Thank you very much for this valuable feedback. We will take this onboard for future stays. Best wishes, Diana Property Owner

  • "It is very rare a holiday property and destination surpasses the photo,s posted by the holiday agency but on this occasion it certainly did."

This was our first break for over 3 years due to serious illness and what a tonic it was.The cottage was superb, ultra clean with unbelievable views of the rolling countryside.Set in beautiful and well kept grounds. But the real star of the holiday was the welcome given by the host and property owner Diana who made us feel like a member of her family and nothing unphased her or was too much trouble. We hope to return to see her in the very near future.

Thank you very much Stephen for your kind and generous review. Quite honestly, you were simply lovely guests! I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and had fun times with your niece Property Owner

Short walk into the village & half hours drive from north or south coastlines. A little cold in October to try the swimming pool, but would be great in the summer! Lovely host, couldn’t be happier!!
