Head up to Tiverton for a stroll along the canal, followed by lunch at The Lost Kitchen, or head down to Exeter and visit the cathedral, Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery and the Underground Passages, followed by supper at the Rendezvous Wine Bar.

To fully absorb yourself in this ancient landscape simply walk out of the front door and up to the top of the early Iron Age hill fort known locally as Cadbury Castle.
From here the patchwork of Devon’s rolling hills, fields and hedgerows stretch away in all directions and, if it’s early evening, there’s always a chance that you may see the Cadbury Dragon who (legend has it) flies at night to project hidden treasure at Cadbury.
