"The property was really good, very modern and spacious."
The only thing we missed was Netflix on the television and maybe a radio. However the most disappointing part was the dangerous approach to the house up a very steep and narrow path / lane. We did not attempt or consider walking up or down to the house. Unfortunately the surrounding area to get to the property was extremely hilly with very narrow lanes.
I am glad that you enjoyed the property. The location of 2 Moorlands is in the picturesque higher town of Minehead which is dotted with beautiful old thatched cottages. There is a steep drive/road to the property which is mentioned in the description, this drive is wide enough to cater for vehicles including larger delivery vans - I am sorry that you felt that the drive was dangerous, it is a steep drive but not dangerous and has ample space for vehicles. This higher position gives it the most spectacular views. 2 Moorlands continues to be a very popular holiday let and has been for the past 7 years. The smart television provided in the lounge can be used for Netflix and also as a radio. Property Owner

"Excellent accommodation."
A really comfortable stay and some significant improvements since last year, notably the new furniture on the enlarged terrace.
-
"Wonderful property with such amazing views."
Could do with gates on patio areas to keep dogs in but we just moved a chair to block the gap. Spotlessly clean, everything you would ever need and the water and cake was a lovely welcoming touch. Would highly recommend this property.
-
"Back yet again."
The house is kept to a very high standard and very clean.. It has everything you need. The new front patio is ideal for sitting out having morning coffee or evening beer and just relaxing. Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing, quite holiday and appreciates the view's.

"We had a great stay, the house had everything we needed."
-
"We really enjoyed our stay, the house was beautifully presented."
Everything we needed and more was available for us to use. absolutely fantastic!
-
"Excellent accommodation in a very picturesque location with fine views overlooking Minehead."
Good weather meant we were able to take advantage of the attractive patio after breakfast and later in the afternoon. Had all the equipment and facilities required for a very enjoyable stay. However if you walk down into Minehead for an evening meal and pint, it's a steep walk back up the Holloway to Moorlands particularly if you are 80 years old. One maintenance issue: wheels are missing on one side of the Dishwasher basket making it difficult to load at times.

"Excellent house and annexe for our extended family with different demands and ages."
Clean, well equipped and made for a lovely Xmas!
Thank you Helen, I am delighted to hear that you and your party enjoyed your Christmas stay at Moorlands. It's a beautiful location to enjoy with the sea views and sunrises and we enjoy decorating the trees for our Christmas guests to make their stay extra special. Property Owner

"We went so the family could meet up together."
The house was great for five family members to spend sometime together. Mum and dad don’t do stairs so they stay in the annex. I am anything we needed was there, we could all sit around the dining table together. We had a great time together. One very small thing we would have like some baking trays, but we used other things which were there. Over all 10/10.
Thank you Vernon for your positive feedback. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at Moorlands and hope you all found it a peaceful relaxing environment. Thank you for making me aware of the baking trays. I will purchase some.Nick Property Owner

"We had a great time , again."
the house is always clean well presented. We did find 0ne issue, hence the sad face in the facilities & maintenance. because we wish make the owner aware there is a leak around the shower screen at the tap end. This causes quite a puddle which if not dealt with will cause serious issues
Dear Michael, So good to hear you enjoyed your return stay at Moorlands.Thank you for pointing out the leak in the bathroom. That issue has been now rectified by my maintenance man. We would love to welcome you back next year. Property Owner
-
"House is lovely and great for 10 people family holiday house."
Very clean, great views, comfy beds and in a good location but it is hilly. The house itself is not disability friendly lots of uneven surfaces and steps (shame because the annex is great for the older members of the family). We enjoyed our stay and nothing was to much trouble for the owner, would defiantly stay there again . Personally I would change the one room into a lounge/diner and dining room into a tv/quite room.
-
"We had a fantastic 2 week break at 2 Moorlands."
The house was really clean on arrival and had no issues at all. The view from the living and dining room is fantastic. There were a few issues with Annexe in the 1st couple of days due to bugs and spiders which calmed down after the 1st couple of days. Overall a great place to stay.
-
"The house was great, very clean and a good size."
Plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 pets. Both the annex and downstairs of the house stayed cool so perfect when you take your pets with you. Great hosts as well, a welcome book with helpful info - restaurant suggestions, nearest supermarkets etc and clear contact details should any issues arise. Our stay was great though and we didn’t have any issues so we didn’t need to contact them luckily. Would definitely go back.
Thank you for your positive review Beth.It is much appreciated. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at Moorlands with the magnificent views and the surrounding area. I am fortunate to have a diligent housekeeper where cleanliness is paramount for guests that stay. To say that you would come back to Moorlands speaks for itself. Nick Property Owner

"The property was beautiful and even better than the photos depicted."
The housekeeper, Beata, who we called a week in advance of our stay was very helpful and confirmed that the Courtyard annexe would be prepared for my elderly mother to stay in so she could avoid the stairs. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and the thoughtful provision of all essentials, milk, water, tea and coffee, washing up and cleaning products. Only small niggle was Mum having to clean up some kind of bugs in the Annexe bathroom daily, and I see that this has been mentioned previously by a client who stayed there. The driveway entrance is very tight and on a sharp angle, might be difficult for anyone with a larger car. Overall we had a very comfortable stay with stunning views over Minehead and the bay. The visitor book is full of good reviews, and we added ours.
Thank you for your feedback Roger, I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Moorlands. Thank you for also bringing the annex bathroom issue to my attention, this has now been rectified and I hope that this didn't inconvenience your mother too much. Nick Property Owner

"Excellent cottage from its elevated position with views across Minehead looking out to sea."
Thank you for your comments John, so glad to hear you had an enjoyable stay at my property 2 Moorlands with its far-reaching views along with its peacefulness and Tranquility. Nick Property Owner

"2 Moorlands is a lovely house and we really enjoyed staying there."
The house was immaculately clean and this was greatly appreciated. The view from the dining room is spectacular.
-
"Spacious property, very well maintained and clean."
Nice and quite and the view is to die for. Well recommended.
-
"A very well-equipped house in a splendid position above Minehead, affording tremendous views."
The property was very clean and well looked-after. There was ample space for our extended family of 7 adults and 2 children and we would certainly recommend it. There was some confusion when booking as to whether the annexe was included (it was, but we were told initially that it wasn't). Perhaps this should be clarified in the listing and with the owner
-
"Great location, view over Minehead is really something."
-
"Great house with a fabulous views."
Lovely walks up to the church and into the town although some may find it a bit challenging as the surrounding lanes are quite steep. House was very clean and comfortable Would definitely recommend this property.
-
"Lovely spacious house in a beautiful, elevated position overlooking the town."
The walk from town is steep and taxing if walking, but only a couple of minutes away by car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite the intense heat.
-
"The property is beautiful and was spotless."
Couldn't complain at all. Kitchen facilities were amazing and we even used the fire pit to toast marshmallows. We were very lucky with the weather and the views were fab and the church bells just finished a perfect day. Not a complaint but we would have loved a couple more chairs around the dining table as not enough for 9 to seat together. The outside seating area at front of property would be fab if levelled. Thank you for contributing to our amazing holiday.
-
"A lovely property with stunning views across Minehead and the bay."
To get those beautiful views it is quite a steep climb up the hill from the town, but we were all feeling very fit by the end of the week. It is only about a 10 minute walk down to the High Street and shops and the lovely Blenheim Park and about a further 5 minutes to the beach or harbour. We found it a very comfortable, spacious and well appointed house, with areas both in the front and back of the house for sitting out. We definitely recommend this property.
-
"Really spacious home, V clean and well equipped."
The views over Minehead and beyond just have to be seen. Only things I would like is a clock in the sitting room (take the one out of the kitchen as there is a clock on the oven) and a "First Aid " on the draw with the First Aid kit , it just makes it easier to find.
-
"Everything exceeded our expectations."
The property was extremely clean and had great facilties. The beds were so comfy, as was the sofa. We loved where the house was situated, perched on the hill with amazing views over Minehead. Just a short walk away into town and beach we found great independent shops, cafes, bars etc. We especially enjoyed the beach and harbour. Visiting local areas was so easy do to the location of the house. This was one of our best finds and highly recommend it to anyone having a staycation.
-
"Just returned from a 2 family Christmas break, 5 adults and 2 small children."
The house was a perfect venue for us all to celebrate and the Christmas decorations made it feel very festive. The dining room was a perfect size for us all to sit and enjoy Christmas lunch and use the log burner in the evening. The lounge was a comfortable place to relax in. The elevated view overlooking the bay from the front of the property is absolutely stunning both day and night. A very warm and comfortable house for an anytime break.
-
"This is a lovely house."
We have used it twice. Very enjoyable, beautiful views. There was a dummy under our bed though, suggesting the bed had not been cleaned underneath from previous stay. The pillows could do with being replaced too as they aren’t comfortable.
-
"Beautiful, well equiped house in a beautiful area."
nice seating area at the front that looks down to the sea & catches the sun in the morning.. lovely walk down to minehead town - not too far at all!
-
"House was clean and tidy."
Further information regarding location prior to visit would useful- ie it’s on north hill prepare for a hilly walk. Prices are inflated due to covid and current travel restrictions. Disappointed tea towels and oven gloves were not provided. Overall- beautiful house and location, views were stunning! We had a great stay!
-
"A lovely house in a wonderful position at the top of a hill with fabulous views."
A long walk up from the town but without that you wouldn’t get the views and parking in the town was no problem
-
"We travelled as a group of four women."
We loved everything about 2 Moorlands. Collectively we have the following comments Hooks on the back of all bedroom doors BBQ Living room and dining room should be the other way round, as there is a lot of wasted space in the living room as it is currently The sun lounger was a nice touch - but perhaps have 4 rather than 1 in the summer months Terraced area very uneven Having said all that we had a great time :)

"Its Day We were greeted with dirty fridge handle not sanitised under government guide lines, Handle come off the bathroom door fell on one of my parents foot, @nd day the en-suite handle came off not fitted correctly."
... Front bedroom to the right as you look at the property My sister and law and brother brought to my attention Black human hair in the bed the sheets had to be washed.. Disappointed in the standard we paid for. We ended up cleaning throughout the property to make sure we were happy to stay . 4th day.. The house was woken up with what we thought was vibrating pipes through the property..Unbreathable noise deafening we vacated the property.and myself and my brother released that the adjoining property was undertaking major structural works to the front, I had a chat with the builders who were very polite and they explained that they would be done by lunch with the noise. This was not the case it went on throughout the rest of the week. The noise was a SDS masonry vibrating machine removing house bricks to install new open plan window/patio. We found the sound unbearable and we were unable to stay at the property during the day to rest and enjoy the stay. We thought the communication between the to property is poor not con considering our stay, Notice would of been welcomed, I understand that people need to work but in this case No excuse on the owners part, If we had notice we could of stayed in a different property.. Not enjoyable holiday. In regards to feedback in the house log i removed this out of the family sight has he family all wanted to leave feedback separately.. I avoided this as i feel it would put people off and the sanitisation would be damming. I hope you pass the feed back on please to the owners.

"Stunning house with views over the bay, the house was spotless clean, plenty of Space and lovely sun terraces."
Highly recommend.
-
"Beautiful house with amazing views"
-
"Very nice, hardest part was road access, roadworks were on outside which we were told about but the road is also up a sleep hill and difficulty to find, once there is was fine."
-
"Fantastic house, spacious ( 5 adults), spotlessly clean, just on the outskirts of Minehead ( up a hill!"
), but easy to walk into to through charming streets with thatched cottages and quaint streets. Just don't miss the driveway when you arrive!!!! Go up the hill of Moors road, keep an eye out for cottage sign on the left, the drive hairpins back up a steep hill!!!
-
"Extremely clean, fantastic views, really excellent property."
-
"A clean and spacious home, with beautiful surroundings and views over minehead were stunning."
Owners were kind enough to leave us the keys for the garage to store our bikes. Beaches were clean, quiet, and perfect for us around low tide, not too cold in the sea either. Beds weren't the comfiest. And for the £1200 we paid a little more luxury/comfort was expected. The listing should mention the accessibility of the property. It wasn't an issue for us but the elderly or disabled would find this property difficult to get to. All in all a pleasant, relaxing stay for a much needed break.
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not find everything to your liking. Regarding the beds, the 3 double mattresses are high quality memory foam and this is the first review to mention this in the three years I have been running my property as a holiday let! The same applies to your comments about the comfort and luxury. However, we appreciate your comments and are very pleased you still had a lovely stay otherwise. Property Owner

"This property is very difficult to find!"
I think it would be helpful to give people specific information about looking out for an uphill driveway up to the Property, as it is hidden from the main road. It took us nearly 20 minutes to find it after going up and down the same road several times. As the roads are so narrow around the property, this would have been quite stressful for a less confident driver. Other than this, I think this is a lovely property and the views are just stunning across Minehead and part of Dunster. There are many steep hills around this property, so I would only recommend it for people with good mobility. It would be extremely difficult to push a wheelchair or buggy around the Immediate area of the property, but if you are going everywhere in the car then it’s suitable for everybody. We had a lovely week with our dog and children and I would have no reservation about booking this property in the future.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you struggled to find our property. The directions have now been updated with greater detail in the pre-arrival guest information pack. We have also erected a larger sign at the bottom of the drive with the name to make it easier for guests to locate the property. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay otherwise and appreciated the beautiful views. Property Owner

"Lovely house, lovely views over bay There is a climb to the house from minehead ..."
Lovely house, lovely views over bay There is a climb to the house from minehead if you are walking Could do with extra televisions
-
"The house, its view, its artwork, its location were fabulous."
It was clean and beautifully presented. The owner was friendly. However, one of the double beds wasn't a double but a 4 foot bed (not a 4'6") and the mattresses on the twin beds were very thin - the adults sleeping there could feel the springs through the mattresses - great for children maybe.
Thank you for comments regarding my property, Just to inform you and future guests that we have upgraded the twin mattresses to a thicker more comfortable style quality mattress suitable for adults. Property Owner

"The views were amazing and a real joy to wake up to every morning."
The house is spacious and clean and the art work on the walls really in keeping with the area. We loved it so much we have booked to come again later in the year. Getting to the property is a little difficult the first time as the roads are very narrow and winding but arriving and seeing the views is worth it.
-
"A very clean and spacious property in a great location, highly recommend."
Shame the log burner is in the dining room and not the lounge.
-

"Fantastic property with great views ."
Well equipped and very comfortable. Just need to warn users that the drive is tight and not great for bigger cars.
-
"We had a brilliant stay at the cottage, Alex met us at the cottage with the keys and showed us round."
He was really friendly and helpful. The cottage was really well equipped however a better vacuum, plus high chair and travel cot would have made it completely perfect. The view from the house was breath taking. A brilliant place to stay for great holiday
