The cottage was immaculate and we had a lovely hamper on arrival. Nice walks in nearby fields and very reasonably price pubs/ restaurants a short drive away. As soon as I get my holiday dates confirmed for next year, we’ll be looking to book again.

"We had an amazing time at Bumble Bee Retreat."
Beautifully located in a scenic location. We were greeted on arrival by Sue and Les who were very welcoming. The retreat itself was very clean, modern and well maintained. It literally had everything you could think off, from an iron, hoover, bin bags, salt & pepper, family games, towels and so much more. We felt very relaxed here and enjoyed the peace and tranquility this beautiful place had to offer. On a clear night we sat outside with a cup of tea, blankets and watched and literally star gazed. It’s was just the perfect little retreat we needed. Thank you Sue and Les. We will definitely be back.

Tytherleigh is a small village in Devon, on the Fosse Way Roman Road, very close to the borders of Somerset and Dorset, which it actually belonged to until the late 1800s. Tytherleigh is now an excellent base for walkers, cyclists and horse riders exploring the West Country, with an excellent pub serving delicious food. It is a short walk from a village shop and pub in Tytherleigh, and an easy drive to the popular towns of Axminster and Chard. Each have their own museum and Heritage Centres, interesting shops and wonderful inns serving good food and scrumptious local cider. If you ever doubted the beauty and majesty of this wonderful corner of England, please note that The Blackdown Hills, East Devon, and Dorset AONBs are all just stone’s throw away! You can be sure of picturesque picnic spots and mesmerising country vistas in every direction you look.
