Our stay was comfortable and homely with everything we come possibly need. Fabulous countryside and perfect for dog walking. Disappointed that we missed the calves being born but lovely to walk around the farm and be woken by the sheep on a morning. Delicious lemon cake too! Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you!

The cottage was stunning. It was well equipped, cosy and homely with beautiful views in a stunning location. It was a pleasure to be surrounded with cows, sheep and horses and have such amazing views. Jane and Rowan were very hospitable, relaxed and friendly hosts who were on hand if we needed anything. We are super grateful for Rowans quick calm assistance in getting us back on the road when we were due to leave and discovered we had a flat battery! Thank you so much both of you for an amazing week :)

Had a great 7 nights with my three children there. A great base for seeing East Devon and the cottage itself is absolutely lovely and has a real homely feel and you don’t want for anything. Lovely walks around the farm and evening the rainy days couldn’t take away from a great holiday. If you have the chance stay here. We will be back as the children loved it.

Lovely cottage, fully equipped with lovely views across the fields from a private patio area. Lots of chats with Rowan about their plans to be as bio diverse and environmentally friendly as they can be. Quiet and peaceful and dark skies for star gazing. Great position to explore local sites, and plenty of places to eat. Lovely start to the day with breakfast across the valley at The Otter Valley ice cream Kitchen, highly recommended. • "We really had a great time in your cottage."

The location and views are great. The cottage itself was lovely and the equipment / utensils were appropriate. Some things to consider when renting to 6 adults or more are: Additional light in the living room by left hand corner so that it is bright to play cards etc in the evening. An additional comfy chair in the living room for all people to comfortably see the tv. The L shape does not lend itself to this. Someone needs to sit on a chair or the floor. Seat covers for all the hard chairs when seated for meals. There needs to be a proviso that the drive cannot take 3 large cars. This would cause a potential risk of accident as it would jut out on to the road. A great place to stay overall with a lovely walk down to the pub and bistro as well as low tide walks around both sides of the bay to Llanddona Beach and Benllech

Nice to have a small secure area whre the dogs can have their late night and early morning 'loo visit' without the worry of traffic, or other people. Swallows cottage is the door in the corner, not too clear from the picture.

unfortunately we found the cottage to be tired in terms of decoration, except for kitchen which was modern. downstairs living area very dusty, lots of dog hair on furniture and some very odd looking stains. cobwebs everywhere (I know it’s middle of the country side) but these were old as well as new. found dirty crockery and cutlery in kitchen. bathrooms dimly lit and very basic , one toilet could only be flushed every couple of hours as it took so long to fill ?? twin bedroom ... well dark and dingy and the curtains , like to old sacks used, didn’t meet in the middle and let in light in the morning, used two towels to block the light. all in all very disappointing!!!!

Comfortable, open and excellent facilities. Downstairs just large area, open plan with alcoves to keep bags and boots etc and hooks for your coats. The kitchen had everything and more, light and airy. We had our family over on one day for the day and the cottage just accommodated us all . We had our dogs with us and the cottage was great as walking from the cottage their were many wonderful walks with amazing panoramic views. Beautiful long table with plenty of seating. Pretty outside terrace with table etc. Facing south with beautiful views down across the valley. A very pretty area and cottage, we didn't want to venture far as it was so peaceful and lovely on the farm. Jayne left a great blueberry and lemon cake. Jayne and Rowan are a lovely couple and very welcoming to their wonderful farm. This was a last minute break to de stress and it most certainly did this and more. We would highly recommend the cottage and hopefully we will return.
