  • "We all had a marvellous restful week at Ash Lodge."

The lodge was really comfortable and well equipped. The younger members of our party made good use of the hot tub. It was so lovely and quiet and the location couldn't be better. As grandparents it was a really special way for us to spend some good quality time with our grandchildren.

Very close to amenities. The lodge was spotless and exactly as described, the hot tub was a great place to chill out. It was a quiet location, but lovely to hear the gibbons calling from the zoo across the road. We will return.

  • "Our stay was lovely from start to finish."

We were able to properly relax, and with 2 teenage girls in tow, they properly made use of the hot tub. Our lodge (Ash), was setup for 8 people, but there was only 4 of us plus our cockapoo, so gave us plenty of space to spread out a bit. House was clean and tidy and had virtually everything you’d need. The gardens were spacious and lush grass that was well maintained. We didn’t need to make use of the log fire, and house was temperate throughout. Definitely recommend.

  • "Ash Lodge is in a great location and well set back from the A39 close to Watchet so road noise was not intrusive."

The site and lodges were well maintained and sufficiently spaced apart to provide privacy. Ash Lodge was very cosy and warm and the self contained upper and ground floor arrangement works extremely well for multiple families. The hot-tub was a great feature and well maintained and Wi-Fi and TV reception very good. Kitchen was well equipped although some tumblers would be a useful addition. Ash Lodge was a great place to spend Christmas with the family.

An additional key to the main lodge would have been very useful. We had a family with young children staying upstairs that required access to the main kitchen in the middle of the night. This meant that we either had to leave the lodge unlocked when we went to bed or we had to get up to let them in when needed. That's the only improvement we can recommend. Thank you.

It was a beautiful lodge However it would of benefited with an extra key for downstairs as once we were in bed in the upstairs room which was separate from the rest of the lodge we didn’t have a key to key back in in the morning if the others were still in bed downstairs

Fantastic location with everything we needed. The sofa in the living room wasn’t very comfortable, but we didn’t spend a lot of time at the lodge. If your sleeping down stairs and you have adults upstairs the noise on the floor boards can be loud, only if your staying in the double bedroom. The peacocks and gibbons from across the zoo are loud trying to warn off foxes, but you get use to it. It’s well worth a visit to see them.

Location was convenient and lots to do in the surrounding area. Our group comprised of two families so Ash Lodge suited us perfectly as it meant that each family had their own facilities with one upstairs and one downstairs but also space to come together as a group. We loved having lots of outside space too and everyone enjoyed the hot tub!! We would struggle to find fault with Ash Lodge, the only thing that would have been helpful was to have a couple of extra chopping boards but it’s a tiny gripe in what was a perfect stay! The owner, Lloyd was very accommodating and fixed a door lock within an hour of us reporting it and was also very accommodating allowing us to use the hot tub for an extended period on our last night. Would highly recommended to anyone looking to holiday with another family for a weekend or longer.
