    So impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was (unusual to find!) and I have never slept on a more comfortable mattress, ever!

Hazel Lodge is a charming, single-storey log cabin within the grounds of Shells Cottage, just a short distance from Washford.

Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, with the open-plan layout ensuring the designated chef is kept company.

If the weather permits, carry the conversations onto your private decked area, where you can dine alfresco courtesy of the barbecue amidst the tranquil surroundings, before taking a soothing dip in the hot tub while letting your worries melt away.

The hot tub is the ultimate luxurious touch for any holiday, and will surely be a favourite spot during your stay.

When nighttime rolls around; choose between a double and a twin room, each with ample storage for the overpackers of your family!

In the morning, discover the local attractions straight from the doorstep of Hazel Lodge.

The area offers a wide range of activities for thrill-seeking guests, from clay pigeon shooting, CO2 shooting, and archery to horse riding and sea fishing.

Just a short drive away, you can explore the charming historic port of Watchet or unwind on the scenic shores of Blue Anchor Beach.

History enthusiasts and photographers will be captivated by the charm of Cleeve Abbey, where every corner reveals a postcard-perfect scene, from intricate wall paintings to breathtaking vaulted ceilings and beautifully manicured gardens.

WASHFORD

Watchet 2 miles; Minehead 6 miles.

Washford is a West Somerset rural village, on the A39 between Minehead and Bridgwater. Located two miles from the pretty coastal port of Watchet, this is an ideal base from which to explore Exmoor National Park and The Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many pretty coastal and inland villages to explore including Porlock with its steep hill and pretty winding streets, Dunster with dramatic castle perched above the historic village and the busy resort of Minehead with sandy beach, golf course and traditional seaside attractions. An excellent choice of holiday destination for rural beauty, dramatic coastline and splendid walking.
