The property

Summerdown is a contemporary, single-storey lodge settled amid rolling countryside in Brean Country Club, beside a serene lake in Somerset.

This impressive home rests near a beach and adventurous attractions, ideal for a family of four seeking a blend of county and coast.

Leave your vehicle in an off-road parking space before climbing a handful of steps to reach a wraparound decking, where you can savour the sun for most of the day, particularly the stunning Somerset sunsets.

Step inside to find the open-plan living space, with French doors letting in natural light and a wall-mounted TV where you can watch family favourites, as you unwind on the corner sofa.

Conjure mouth-watering dishes in the kitchen area, with an electric oven and gas hob to assist you and after a day at the beach make use of the washing machine to get rid of the sand.

Enjoy meals together at the dining table or throw open the French doors for an alfresco affair on the furniture with a backdrop of natural beauty to admire.

As the day draws to dusk, retire inside and choose between a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower and adjoining dressing room, or the twin room with a TV for late-night entertainment.

You can take a short stroll to a restaurant for a home-cooked breakfast before enjoying the sea breeze on Brean Beach; in the afternoon, treat the little ones to an exhilarating experience at Brean Splash Waterpark!

Summerdown is a superb base for family attractions, with Animal Farm Adventure Park and Florence's Aviary to see your favourite furry friends or venture to Wookey Hole Caves for limestone caverns.

Jump in the car to visit the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, a traditional seaside with a promenade to grab fresh fish and chips, a beach, as well as Weston Museum and The Helicopter Museum for an insight into the past.

For a much-needed break in a beautiful setting, choose Summerdown.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.
