"The apartment needs a complete renovation, the bathroom is very outdated and there is no where to dry the towels also there was no bathroom cleaning materials available."
Very limited utensils in the kitchen and very limited space inside the lounge area. Seating was uncomfortable also. Wardrobe sliding doors grated when opened and was very noisy. Loose floor boards in bedroom area when you get into bed and in front of the wardrobe. The internal stairs were very high and quite difficult for me as an older person, especially when carrying luggage etc up and down. But the views were great and the host was a lovely lady. Car parking was very tight and the access road was very narrow and difficult to turn into from the road.

Gill, the owner made us feel very welcome, a lovely lady, I would highly recommend a stay there. Lovely walks to go on, river or coastal path. We had good weather which always helps too

"The owner was lovely, the apartments are on a steep hill and a narrow road but most of the roads around the area are like this!"
We had a really lovely week.

"Basically, the bed was extremely uncomfortable as the mattress wasn't up to standard."
The skylight was slightly open with no way of shutting it due to the height of the room. The couple in the next apartment had a a small child and a very noisy dog, both of which were allowed to make as much noise as they wanted. Our last evening there was spoilt by the dog barking at 10pm. All in all, our holiday was quite below what we expected. This is the first time I have ever left a bad review. Regards. Ian Sheriff.

"The hill to reach Clooneavin is 25% gradient one of steepest I have ever encountered."

"Host - Gill, was really great."
Very welcoming and a delightful start to our holiday. WiFi was a bit limited but didn't spoil our stay. Great location with fabulous views over the bay, town and river gorge.

"We loved the spectacular view over the coast - which makes this flat a relaxing place to stay for a week."

"Can't rate this holiday highly enough, impeccably clean, fabulous views and Gillian the lady owner is also fabulous."
-
"Though the property was really nice with stunning views pedestrian access to town was stated to be a walk through the garden."
However actual access is via steep steps, carved into the hillside uneven in places. This is not a walk through a garden. You need to mention how hilly the area is as it is unsuitable for people with mobility issues. Vehicle access to property is via a very steep narrow road just about wide enough for an average saloon car to use. We could not obtain wifi while at the property.

"Our original holiday (with someone else cancelled last minute) obviously this was meant to be."
Service from Skyes excellent, paid for holiday in the morning on holiday 6hours later. Real gem was the owner Gillian, stayed in Flat 4 as was free & had balcony would have been happy to stay anywhere at Clooneavin. Would go back and would use Skyes again.

"The room has the most spectacular views of Lynmouth."
Gillian is a very nice welcoming lady who makes you feel as though the place is your own without any petty rules and regulations. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who likes walking as it is situated half way up the hill between Lynton and Lynmouth so whichever way you go you will be going uphill either on the way out or on the way back. It is a good base for driving to places like Ilfracombe and Woolacombe and Minehead. Best meal of the week was at the Blue Ball on the road out of Lynmoth really first class. Access to the property is up a narrow driveway not suitable for very large vehicles, my Jaguar S type was probably close to the limit for size. Over all this is a lovely place and I would highly recommend.
