"Fantastic stay in a great location within driving distance of different attractions/days out."
Cosy accommodation and dog friendly. Hosts were very friendly and would consider a revisit if back in that part of the world. Would recommend .

"We enjoyed our stay."
Thank you for the welcome pack. It is clean and warm and a very interesting old world conversion of the buildings. Would have loved to have sat outside but does need a tidy up. Not forgetting it is a working farm and the owners are very busy.
Thank you for a nice stay.

The cottage has had an update to the bathroom and now has a large walk in shower instead of a bath, much better!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, it was lovely to meet you both, really pleased you enjoyed your stay.

A shower in the bathroom would be an improvement.
This is a working farm so don’t expect perfection.

Not such a drawback for me as I could bluetooth to the phone but could be for others. The chickens coming to visit in the morning was great fun. Gary and Jackie are great hosts, lovely people

"Love the Wagon House and this was second stay."
Its secluded and olde world. It is in a very unspoilt part of the country with excellent walks and stunning views; close to some beautiful villages and the Somerset vintage railway line is just a bonus.

"My father and I enjoyed a lovely weeks stay."
The cottage was comfortable and quiet and in a beautiful setting. Having lived in a property over 400 years old in Yorkshire we appreciated the age of The Wagon House and the History attached to it. We were able to access some spectacular places on and around the moor, in particular Red Stag Safari, Dunster Castle and Porlock Weir, where I bought another jug for my kitchen. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful and I hope to return again in the future.

"We enjoyed our stay at the Wagon house."
The property is very rustic, with most of the basics.
A few things which could be improved:
The lack of shower was very disappointing especially as the base of the bath was damaged so bathing scratched your back. A small investment in a shower hose that’s fits to taps would make a huge difference and I know this was available in other properties.
The cleanliness was fine at face value but then there were spiders everywhere, we found a used pair of boxers in the room we were using for our kids and when retrieving our sons toy cars on a regular basis it was clear that the furniture had not been cleaned under in a long time.
The hessian rug in the lounge was extremely uncomfortable especially for young children who crawl round on the floor.
Big positives though:
The quiet outdoor space and the fact that you can BBQ outside the accommodation were great and made our stay really social.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and the fresh eggs were fantastic.
The stream on site made a great afternoon/morning activity for our son to play in and race his boats.

"My daughter and I had a great time at this cozy Wagon House in this beautiful spot in the Somerset countryside."
Thank you for the friendliest hospitality.
Thinking back to our stay I would suggest adding a handheld showerhead to the bath tub and adding a small fence or hedge on the patio by the front door for a little more protection. But these are really small things. I fully appreciate the wonderfully restored old buildings and all the work that has been done to preserve this place! Thank you again and I look forward to returning one day.

"This cottage really isn't worth its 4 star rating."
Although the conversion has been done very well, the lack of cleanliness and cobwebs everywhere, lets the cottage down. To make matters worse on the first morning we found food spilled out over the floor, and the next day saw a mouse. I find it hard to believe that the owners weren't aware of the mice, as droppings could be seen in the corners of the rooms. According to the website the property has an 'attractive pretty patio area with table and bench' this proved to be very tired and the 'attractive claw foot bath' with its chipped enamel has definitely seen better days. I feel we have been overcharged for the property considering the experience we had, and would welcome a refund.

"We loved our stay on the farm, our toddler loved all the animals, tractors and walks through the fields and woods."
The Wagon House is a beautiful building with so many interesting features, with lovely seating areas at the front and back to make the most of the sunshine. We felt that it could do with some new towels and a refresh of the bedding as they seemed a bit dated and let the property down a little.

"We were expecting 4 * facilities as quoted on your brochure."
The beds were comfortable & clean and the family very welcoming. However there were very old cobwebs over the ceilings and behind furniture and the windows were very dirty inside and out. The oven and microwave had been cleaned well but when we used them a toxic smell was given off from the cleaning fluids used which made me gag! The bath is impossibly deep to climb in and out and the rugs on the floors have seen better days. Definitely not 4 star accommodation.
