  • "The whatthreewords was completely wrong."

Wrong road. Followed the written directions to find it. Internet connection was slow on occasion. TV was via that and buffering was a regular issue which makes watching it annoying. Apart from that it was a good stay & the accommodation was great. Really good showers, comfortable sofa & bed.

  • "Ambleside is a beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay."

Thank you so much and we wish you well with your venture. We've stayed in quite a number of self-catering cottages and there is normally something that we're not quite happy with, but Ambleside and Colebrook Fisheries and Lodges were perfect. The view, the comfort, your hospitality - everything. The beds were more comfortable than ours at home and the showers more powerful and we were really impressed with how clean the property was and how many places we had to store belongings. Despite its size the cabin didn't feel small at all. If we're being really demanding, then a welcome hamper with a few provisions would have been handy (there was tea, coffee and sugar but no milk or butter) - but as you're only a short 5 minute drive to supermarkets it wasn't too much of a hardship to buy. A couple of games or jigsaws would have been ideal on the rainy day to keep the girls off their tablets but we enjoyed just admiring the view - even in the rain.

Thank you for kind comments-so glad you all enjoyed your stay and it was lovely to meet your family. Will definitely now put in some games etc for those rainy moments. Property Owner

  • "Ambleside is a wonderful spot for a quiet stay in the country with the convenience of Cullompton down the road."

Jerry & Jo are a lovely couple and we were fascinated with their journey to owning the fishery, land & lodges. The views from the Lodge are spectacular and positioned perfectly for sunsets. The Lodge is perfect for a couple and will definitely return.

Thank you for the feedback, so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to meet you both and Rosie. Look forward to seeing you again soon . Property Owner
