  • "The owner obviously has an eye for detail, having fitted out the property with plenty of good quality household effects."

We wanted for nothing in this beautifully fitted out house. The location is outstanding in its beauty, in the area of the Blackdown Hills, with small fields, ample hedges and trees in abundance. And the landscape rolls! The coastal towns of East Devon and West Dorset are within 1/2 hours drive. We have stayed in many holiday cottages but, in our opinion, this is easily the best of them all.

Thankyou for the amazing feedback.. it made my day!! Our aim is, and always will be to make it as perfect as possible for our guests, hopefully you may return one day Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay as one of the first guests at The Reading Room."

Recently refurbished to a high standard with everything we needed for our holiday. A cosy and warm cottage with a modern feel. The kitchen and bathroom, with a walk in shower are particularly nice. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, with a lovely selection of local produce and fresh eggs. A great base for both Devon and Dorset, we loved exploring the Jurassic Coast and surrounding countryside in both counties. Only downside for us was the parking which is on the street with no designated space. We did expect this being in a small village and were aware of it before we booked. Thank you for our stay and all your hospitality.

Thankyou for your positive feedback… Property Owner
