Located within a seven-and-a-half-acre arboretum, Tresilian Wood is a haven for nature lovers. Just across the road a kissing gate is the entrance to the Heritage Coastline part of the Welsh Path. Stroll along the shoreline and hunt for ancient fossils, or take in the dramatic cliff-top views stretching across to Devon on clear days.

To one side, just 1.2 miles away, lies Llantwit Major beach and village, where ancient history meets modern convivence. Explore St Illtud’s Church, dating back to 500 AD, and uncover its deep-rooted significance as a center of Celtic Christian culture. The village also offers quaint 14th-century pubs, a traditional butcher, and a local deli. Venture in the other direction to Nash Point Lighthouse, a guiding light for sailors since 1832. Continue onward to Monknash, where you'll find The Plough and Harrow, a charming pub set among the ruins of a medieval monastic grange.
