  • "Fantastic. Superb location, the lodge is set with in the estate lands of Cricket St."

Thomas (so lots of traffic free walking and cycling) The lodge it's self was handsome, cosy and well maintained. The staff were welcoming and always on hand to sort any issues out (there were no issues!) 10/10 would recommend, would go back.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at 12 Swandown, when shown to our Lodge my partner exclaimed " is all this ours!"

". Our lodge was really well equipped and beautifully clean. Sitting in the hottub in the evenings was wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. During our stay the fridge freezer developed a fault, we informed the manager. The very next day a new fridge freezer was fitted, no hassle or fuss. When something goes wrong you find out how good your host is. Our host has been excellent. I fully recommend 12 Swandown and the team behind them. Wonderful countryside and well placed to see the surrounding area.

  • "We had a wonderful relaxing week here and loved the private pool and hot tub."

The surrounding area is very scenic and peaceful. The property was well equipped, spacious and private. The only downside was that the main bed was rock hard. Although our property was 'no dogs' we had several fresh piles of dog's mess on our grassed area, which the children's football went through. This stopped them playing ball games outside for the remaining few days of the holiday. The grass was a little long and needed cutting, then the dogs mess would have been more visible...or maybe the selfish dog owner wouldn't have let their dog poop on there! Apart from this, we thoroughly enjoyed our week and would definitely go back.

  • "We stayed at a 3 bedroomed property in spring suitable for the family we were with for a long weekend and were impressed with Swandown."

Based on that stay we booked No 12 for a week for the two of us. It didn’t disappoint. We loved the airiness provided by the double height windows in the sitting area making the most of the lovely view. The lodge has a spacious feel enhanced by the vaulted ceiling in the living area. The two bedrooms and bathrooms were good and all very clean. In general the accommodation is well equipped. We felt we could easily live in this property full time and be content. Swansdown is in beautiful, quiet surroundings. The managers on site are super friendly and helpful. We would most definitely recommend this as a holiday destination.

  • "What a gem!"

! Used Sykes many times before, but this is the best lodge we have rented. If you want peace and quiet, wildlife, outstanding lodge quality, this is for you. Hot tub was checked twice a day. A big mention must go to the two maintenance lads Stewart and Leroy, their knowledge of the area and friendliness was a big plus. Only down side wound be the on-site swimming pool is out of action for the foreseeable future, but your given free access to the local hotel facilities. Loved it

Hi Paul, Thank you for your wonderful review, I'm glad you enjoyed staying with us at Swandown and that Stuart and Leroy were able to help, I will certainly pass on your mention. Apologies for the pool being out of action during your stay, we were having some essential maintenance done on it and it is now back up and running, but hope you were able to use the facilities down at the Hotel. We hope to see you back at Swandown in the future. Kind regards The Swandown Team Property Owner
