  • "My family and I absolutely loved staying at no."

    19. There was plenty of room for us all to move about, play games, have different activities happening, eat & prepare food. The kitchen was fantastically stocked with all necessary equipment and everything seemed new or well maintained. The only thing I would have liked was a substantial mat for returning into the bedroom after the hot tub as it felt like we were trailing excess water in.

  • "Absolutely loved our first stay and will return."

Fantastic layout; which was ideal for my visually impaired sister. The hot tub was always hot and perfect for relaxing in the evening. I was surprised and impressed with the surrounding fields. Everything we needed was there and the site shop ideal for the odd forgotten item.

  • "A comfortable, well appointed property with a high quality of furnishings."

Lovely on site swimming pool, excellent entertainment for young children on rainy days. We also enjoyed the relaxing jacuzzi. Lots of places to visit in the local area, we particularly liked Lyme Regis, Barrington Court, Ford Abbey and the walks around Cricket St Thomas.

  • "As a group of four friends we really enjoyed our stay in your lodge."

We all slept well and found the beds very comfortable. The hot tub was perfect, easy to use and extremely clean. We were grateful to find plenty of towels and extra ones for use around the hot tub. The kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking in it and sitting at the large dining table with a lovely view from the large windows. Everything thing was bright and fresh and the lodge was warm and inviting on our autumn break. The receptionist was extremely helpful with our queries and handy to know we could call him if we had questions. We would have liked to have a little more washing up liquid rather than two squeezes and more than one loo roll per bathroom provided or a note on the booking to bring some as we didn’t think about that and that would have made our stay pretty perfect. Thank you we will definitely book again.

  • "A lovely holiday lodge, in a beautiful and peaceful setting."

The staff are friendly and helpful, the lodge is very well designed, clean and nicely furnished. A particular positive for us was the position of the hot tub, which was under sufficient cover that it could be comfortably used in heavy rain, which was lovely. The location is very handy for visiting Lyme Regis and other areas along the coast.

  • "Overall we had a lovely stay."

We were a little surprised when we we arrived as the photos looked like the property was detached. Sadly, the hot tub was not working properly, only 1 jet was working which was incredibly powerful and actually bruised my friend's back. I think someone else had mentioned this on a previous review. It was one of the main reasons why we booked Swandown. Downstairs was a little tired, flaky paint on ceilings etc in the bathrooms and in one bathroom the water in the bath didn't drain away so that wasn't very nice. There was a couple of dirty plates and the grill pan needed to be washed before we used it. The TV sound quality wasn't great. Other than that, we had a lovely time. It is super comfortable, lovely location, great views, very helpful staff. Lovely little honesty shops and great range of DVDs and games. We used the swimming pool on site and the facilities at the hotel - which were very tired.

  • "We enjoyed our weekend stay as a group of friends."

However, you are only allocated x2 bathrobes for the whole house. When you have paid over £700 and are a group of adults I would expect one each. We were given more on request. The hot tub jets didn’t work properly. This was mentioned to the manager who came to look but they still never worked properly. Not sure if it’s to do with the water level but when you have a 6 person hot tub this should be rectified. Loved location and access to the Warner hotel.

Not the cheapest but the facilities outweigh the cost. A suggestion would be to provide usb charging sockets on some of the electrical points.
