"It is a lovely place to stay very well appointed everything you could need , there is nothing nicer than on a sunny day sitting on the balcony with a few drinks."
The owners are very nice. The only downside I found where the steps leading up to the cottage as I have arthritis in my knees I found them a little hard. It’s above The smugglers bar the food there is great also they do a very good breakfast at the pirate just a bit further up in and the new in situated at the far end of Amroth does excellent food as well
-
"A lovely property."
Great views. Comfy bed and great large towels. A great welcome pack which was much appreciated. Was concerned might be noisy because of bar downstairs but needn't have been. Also no greasy food smells which we have encountered in other places. In A very well kept seaside resort.
-
"Great flat in an ideal location with an amazing view."
-
"Great place, very clean and great to have a welcome pack for us and the dog."
Will definitely be back. Perfect location
-
"Fantastic location, fantastic property."
Nothing to improve.
-
"We have just had a lovely week staying at the Cartwheel."
The view is spectacular even with the heavy rain and winds making the sea view special. The location and the facilities are excellent. We will be hoping to return again in the future.
-
"We really enjoyed our visit to the Cartwheel apartment."
It's very comfortable, well equipped, with amazing views over the sea and is near all amenities in Amroth. We'll definitely be back.
-
"Our 2nd visit here, didn’t disappoint again, 1 plus from last year was a handrail up the outside steps to the flat"
-
"Fantastic little place to stay, lovely welcome gift and very clean and comfy."
View was breathtaking and a beautiful little place Amroth is. Small quaint and very friendly. Loved it and will be back again in the future
-
"Great location and amazing views."
Overall our stay was excellent and we'd definitely rebook. Beds comfy and everything we needed. We did notice the listing said tumble dryer but this appears to be just a washing machine now - no big deal as the washing dried fine on the clothes airer. If we had a small criticism it's that the fabric sofa needed a good clean, quite a few marks of dried on food/dirt/dog hairs, carpets and everything else were fine though.

"The only think that could be improved is the outside stairs, I know a banister ..."
The only think that could be improved is the outside stairs, I know a banister was fitted on the day we left but stairs still need some repair with concrete breaking up

"We enjoyed a fabulous stay at this lovely well equipped property."
The Cartwheel is in a great location in Amroth, within easy walking distance of various eateries, pubs and the village shop. The stunning view of the bay is second to none and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking it all in. The beds were comfortable and we found no issues regarding the shower. Like others, we would definately recommend a handrail/bannister all the way up the steep outside steps. These also need some attention as they are cracking/crumbling (& also look like they might be slippery when wet!) Having said that, we hope to return again. Thank you.

"We had a fabulous stay at the Cartwheel, it had everything that we needed and was clean comfortable and very well equipped."
I had to speak to the owners over the phone and they were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back for another stay at some point in the future for sure. Also need to mention the view from the living room window was absolutely amazing and I could have just sat and looked at the sea all day. All in all I would recommend the Cartwheel.

"Lovely views , very cosy watching the rain in October looking out to sea"
-
"Lovely place to stay stunning views ."
Very dog friendly. Lovely welcome basket and milk in the fridge . Would highly recommend

"The Cartwheel is a great location to explore the area with everything being only a short drive away and a couple of really good eateries in Amroth, we found the apartment to be a little "tired" and not what we had come to expect from Sykes, the carpets, curtains and furnishings were becoming thread bear and I know we had the apartment at the end of the season, but the decor could certainly do with freshen up!"
The one thing that made the apartment acceptable was the view from the living room window straight onto the beach and across the bay to Saundersfoot, priceless!
-
"We had a lovely stay, flat very clean, beautiful view and very quiet at this time."
We were struck by how clean the whole local area was. The dog had the time of his life on the local beaches. One small concern perhaps you should make mention that the access to the flat is by a staircase at the rear, As I have limited mobility I found getting the luggage up and down
-
"This property is in a lovely location with panoramic views from the sitting room and balcony."
There are uninterrupted views from the Gower peninsula around to Tenby and Caldey island. We enjoyed many lovely coastal and woodland walks locally and a little further afield. Several bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance with inside and outside sitting areas. This area has plenty to offer for all age groups.

"A lovely property in an excellent location directly facing the sea."
Bus across the road and plenty to do in the area around. The property had everything that we needed and the welcome pack was a bonus. Everything was clean and well organised and the key was easily accessible. As others have said, the shower was a challenge. The water pressure does not seem high enough to sustain a hot shower without cutting out giving freezing cold moments… it seemed to work ok on the middle setting so that may be worth knowing. As the property is above a cafe and bar there are obviously steps at the side to gain entry.. just be aware that these are quite steep; not a problem but a need to know depending on your agility. There is a designated parking space for the flat which is also a bonus and will be invaluable later on in the high season as parking seems to be limited. The space is wide enough for a standard vehicle but one of the larger SUV might struggle to get between the wooden posts for the space; having said that, whilst we were there the land behind the cafe had enough free space to park. We had a really enjoyable break here and would thoroughly recommend it. The owners were helpful and friendly and the place itself was perfect for us. Thank you.

"We enjoyed a fabulous stay, the views are simply stunning."
The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and the beds are very comfortable. It’s a quiet area to stay and we slept well every night. We would definitely book to stay at the Cartwheel again!
-
"Excellent location overlooking beach and a very comfortable and well maintained holiday flat."
The temperature of the shower was difficult to control so maybe that could be investigated. But that’s only a minor point as everything else was fine. The wine and snacks waiting for us on arrival was very welcome and a nice thought. Paul and Leanne also run the best pub in Amroth, The New Inn. Only a 10 minute walk away. Hope to return.
-
"Property is amazing, owners are lovely, would recommend this accommodation to others."
Hope to return again.
-
"Fantastic apartment."
The shower was a bit temperamental- going from hot to cold in seconds. You would have to jump in and out frequently as the temperature would change so quickly. Other than that, couldn't fault it. The view was lovely and the apartment had everything you needed. Thank you.
-
"Fantastic location."
Very helpful hosts & a lot very welcome basket with goodies! Will definitely be returning.
-
"Lovely, ideally located apartment."
Convenient for the local shop and pubs and overlooking the beach with a pleasant deck to pass the time with a cuppa and people watch. Amroth is a beautiful little village, perfectly placed for a stroll at low-tide, along the beach up to Wiseman's Bridge or Saundersfoot and a short car trip or bus ride to Tenby. Folly Farm is well worth a visit for the kids and adults alike. I would really recommend the place. Great holiday and would certainly return.
-

-

"Could do with a bannister on stairs leading up to apartment."
Bed not comfortable. Hoover had not been emptied and was in wardrobe near are clothes.front door sometimes didn't shut properly and would open ,the dog got out once but was ok
-
"Fantastic location and apartment."
Very lovely welcome pack and very well equipped with everything we needed. Only criticism was that we found the beds rather uncomfy. We spent a lot of time on the balcony watching the world go by and marvelling at the ever changing view. A very welcome get away after lockdown
-
"The apartment was lovely just as the photos Arrived for pre xmas break."
Nice touch Christmas hamper and decorations light up when we arrived Big thank you to the hosts Leanne and Paul it made our stay. Plenty of parking at the rear really fast wifi.Beds comfortable and made up when we arrived The views are excellent. Slight concern about steps up to enterance may be a little slippery in winter for the older guest .Will be back again this place is a little gem .Big thank you to the hosts
-
"We booked last minute after lockdown and wanted to go somewhere where we could relax."
This was perfect for us. The apartment was extremely clean and we had a lovely welcome basket. The beds were comfy and 5 persons stayed comfortably for a week. The views were beautiful and to sit and listen/watch the water was perfect, the balcony was perfect for just watching the world go by! There are a couple of pubs in walking distance-Amroth Arms & New Inn do beautiful food and lots of it! Keep an eye on tide times and walk the beautiful beach to Wisemans bridge then onto Saundersfoot-stunning walk. Will definitely be visiting Amroth again and staying at the Cartwheel!
