"Accommodation exactly as seen in photos."
Lovely walks from the cottage in the woods. Great location to explore South Wales. We went to Barry Island for the day, which had a good atmosphere, and a day at Llandegfedd Lake Kayaking and walking.

"The cottage was great, a real home from home."
I will definitely be booking again. Thank you to John and Katie for a wonderful stay.

"We had a great stay the cottage was homely and had some lovely features, It had everything you needed."
The owner was friendly, checked we had plenty of logs for the fire. Would stay again .

"A very friendly welcome."
Cosy log fire. We were shown around the farm which was very interesting, loved the fruit garden. Set in a beautiful area, and a lovely walk to the park was easily accessible down the lane and along the river. Would highly recommend.

"We really liked this property."
Fab location and we enjoyed walking around the woodland. The sofa and chair were great, beds were comfy, towels were huge and soft and that's really the main thing, right? We managed to get wifi too - because I had to work - and John helped us with the TV (thanks for that!) If that is all you need - you can stop reading here! We just felt it had some deficiencies in equipment compared to where we've stayed before. Needed one more (flat) frying pan, some of the other pans had seen better days and it needed dishwasher tablets, for example. There was a kitchen roll dispenser but with no kitchen roll, which was odd, and no salt or pepper. Would have loved to be able to relax outside too given the weather! We didn't find a Visitors Book. We tend to rely on those for hints on where to go and where to eat. There was nothing about this in the folder of information either. Comms were great. Got settled in really quickly. We could have asked all these questions and more to the lovely owner and his daughter but, on holiday, we just want to get on with things ourselves. They were incredibly responsive, though, and that aspect definitely surpassed our expectations.

"John the owner lived next door and he would pop by each evening to check we had no problems."
He got us wood for the fire and advised on a local walk . The cottage was spacious with a magnificent fire place and stone circular stairs to take you to a large bedroom with super wooden beams

"Great cottage and superbly refurbished."
Very comfortable. Well located for touring. Quiet. John, the owner and daughter are really nice people and easy to talk to. Great to have farm tour and meet all the animals particularly the enthusiastic dogs!

"The cottage itself was nice but the sofa was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced."
There is also no blind in the bathroom which I didn’t like at all. For the price it wasn’t bad but I would not go back
Thank you for your feedback and I hope you did enjoy your stay apart from the points your raised. Regarding the sofa. We will look to improve it immediately as I wasn't aware it was thought of as uncomfortable. As for the lack of blind in the bathroom, as the window is a vellux and only the passing birds can look in, we hadn't thought it necessary to have a blind on it. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you have many more happy holidays with Sykes holiday cottages. Katy and John Property Owner

"Had a lovely week at the Cwtch in May, a beautiful little corner of Wales."
Comfortable and cosy cottage with a beautiful view out the front. Easy access to lots of places (the Beacons, the Gower Peninsula a couple of favourites).

"Lovely, really clean and tidy, cottage, all necessary facilities and utensils provided."
Very quiet and peacefully situated attached to farmer John's farm house, who is a very helpful and amicable person when you choose to find him amidst his farm duties. He does not impose on your privacy and he had a lovely warm log burning stove lit in the cottage for when we arrived at 6pm on 6th May 2022. Thank you, from G & E..

"This is a really lovely cottage, perfect for a couple."
It's beautifully decorated and laid out with a really comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and unusual touches such as the living wall at the entrance conservatory. John the owner is helpful without being intrusive. We had a relaxing holiday here and thoroughly recommend.
