  • "A warm and comfortable cottage handily situated for the beach and coast path."

We had a wonderful relaxing week and appreciated the welcome pack and the care that had obviously been taken. Hope to return before too long!

  • "We loved our stay in this beautiful mid terrace cottage."

Thank you so much! Perfect location for restaurants and walks, yet very quiet location. The cottage was very well equipped and clean, we would have loved to stay longer. We missed a coffee table for our prolonged board game sessions, but otherwise 5 stars!

  • "Spent a lovely time at Dunnock Cottage."

Lovely place and very well equiped. Location for the beach and facilities excellent. Welcome gifts much appreciated. Really enjoyed ourselves. The only thing I would mention, and it's a really a minor thing, is that we could have done with an additional towel rail in the bathroom. There were four of us at the cottage and with showering daily there were plenty of wet towels that needed to air out. Didn't always have the weather to put them on the line outside to dry out. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we could have needed. Fridge a little small, so for families that wanted to cook instead of eating out there wasn't too much storage space for food items that needed to be refridgerated so don't be tempted to do a big food delivery shop. The beach at Broad Haven is excellent and only being a stone's throw from the cottage was amazing for us with having a 10 year old and a six year old. Just a two minute stroll and you're on the beach with all the amenities you could need for a great day. All in all a great holiday. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Lovely cottage in a great location."

With two children, we were able to pop onto the beach a few times a day without having to pack for a day out. Thanks to the hosts for our welcome gifts!

  • "A superb cottage which is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you might need."

The tiered back garden is a lovely spot from which to watch the sun go down whilst listening to the waves lapping on the beach. The sandy and gently sloping beach is only a hundred yards or so from the cottage.

  • "Absolutely loved the cottage."

Was super cosy and very clean. It was so well stocked as a professional chef I appreciated what good quality everything was in the kitchen and again very clean. Not a spec of dust anywhere. We loved the log fire and as it was pet free we preferred that. Tbh finding pet free and log fire was very hard to find anywhere so that was great. Food we did cook some breakfasts but ate out most nights in Little Haven at St Brides Inn, food was all home prepared made from scratch again a rarity these days. We will be back Thank You for all you did from booking to return superb! Highly recommend both cottage and Sykes. Regards Mr Mrs Evans

  • "Delightful cottage, well equipped and furnished, beautifully decorated - really welcoming."

Only thing to suggest would be warning people that fridge space is really quite limited for a property sleeping 5 - possibly worth knowing before doing a big shop for food - had we known we wouldn't have bought so much stuff needing refrigeration!

  • "Don't know where to start."

....from start to finish we've had the most fabulous and most personal experience booking Dunnock Cottage! Deb and Ian sent us a lovely pre-welcome email seeing if there was anything we needed or information about the local area ( I'm grew up on the area so that wasn't needed). They assured that they'd be contactable during our stay at all times. The Cottage itself was absolutely beautiful! Spotlessly clean and well sourced with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and home from home. The cottage is quaint, rustic and the tastefully furnished. It has a lovely layered back garden where you can enjoy the sound of the sea and the days sun. It is a stones throw from the beach , restaurants and pubs which all serve beautiful food. Dunnock Cottage we felt was a perfect location within Broad Haven ( peaceful) but also for the surrounding areas and gives you instant access to the Coastal Path! We will certainly be visiting again and recommending Dunnock Cottage to our friends and family. Thank you Deb and Ian !

  • "Seamless booking experience after being let down at the last minute by another local company, we were so lucky to have found Dunnock Cottage!"

A rare gem! Communication was great from Ian and Deb throughout, the personalised email was really helpful before we arrived. The cottage was just gorgeous. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a holiday with our young family. Plenty of room for us all and so close to the chippy and the beach. We loved it so much we've booked it again for next year! Thank you Ian and Deb.

  • "This cottage was perfect."

It was extremely well maintained with everything you could need. We brought our own tea, coffee and milk but this was already provided with a lovely welcome gift of wine and chocolates. It was literally 2 minutes walk from the beach where there was a beach shop, watersports shop and a choice of places to eat and drink. A walk to the far end of the beach reveals a footpath leading onto a section of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. My girls are already asking if we can stay again.

  • "Dunnock is very much in the cottage style with lovely features throughout."

It’s great for summer as the sunny garden up the back of the cottage is lovely, and the downstairs of the cottage stays cool. I imagine it is also comfortable at other times of year judging by the size of the radiators and great choice of lighting options. The kitchen is one of the best equipped for a Sykes cottage, we particularly appreciated the choice of pots, pans, steamers and utensils. The location is excellent and we found the cottage easy to find on arrival which is much appreciated after a long drive!

  • "A lovely quirky well furnished cottage."

Amazing attention to every detail. Well situated near the beach. Beautifully clean with lovely decor. Debbie the landlady was extremely helpful and we had a really lovely holiday. I have only dropped a star because of Sykes information regarding check in times, which might be generic for all cottages advertised, might not necessarily apply to all cottages. I also think that 5pm is much too late for a check it but the owner of our cottage ‘Dunnock’s’ allowed us in earlier as she didn’t have a change over that day. However Debbie’s check in time states 4pm so maybe those details need to be coordinated. Thanks Debbie for your lovely cottage in Marine Road. Broadhaven.

Hi Jane - Many thanks for your lovely comments and so glad that you all enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you also for your feedback regarding the check-in times which have now been amended to 4 pm - apologies for any confusion. Property Owner

  • "Overall very pleased with our stay."

Just one important point, namely there were times when the front and rear doors could not be either locked or unlocked. This was rather disconcerting. The owners were contacted regarding the both doors and it did seem to get better, but only somewhat. The rear door at times could not be opened. This is a particular concern as it was the fire exit for upstairs. The upstairs rear windows only had small opening lights. Both doors need to be adjusted by a suitably person.

Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear of the issues you have had with the locks. I have had a professional out to check the locks and can confirm that that are all working perfectly. Property Owner
