We have stayed at many cottages this is by far the best we have stayed at, very clean comfortable and fully kitted out especially kitchen

  • "There were no instructions for washing machine, dishwasher and microwave."

We had some trouble with the TV initially, which the owner was able to correct, so very reluctant to use anything else! Would have liked brochures or recommendations of places of interest nearby not just places for eating. A really good spot for anyone enjoying water sports as the beach is so near. Access is by very steep steps and not suitable for older people or anyone with walking disabilities. Beautiful views of the sea from the property. During the high season might be a little difficult driving through the narrow lanes as there is a caravan/camping site very nearby.

A very quiet peaceful and restful place to be.

  • "A comfortable cottage, it was very quiet and the view from the living room was beautiful."

There is a short walk to get to the beach which is lovely. It would be great to have a mirror in the main bedroom.

  • "Wonderful cottage in a quiet islolated spot."

Small caravan park at the back of cottage but please don’t let it put you off booking. Situated in a picturesque part of Pembrokeshire coast and would definitely recommend.

  • "1. It would have been useful to have some instructions on the use of the cooker, microwave, dishwasher."

Not everybody is familiar with these makes or types. 2. perhaps the person responsible for the change over needs to check thinks like batteries in remote controls (flat for one remote, no spares), amount of toilet paper (no spare roll) light bulbs (one blew and no spares)etc. This was not a huge problem, but inconvenient. 3. Overall it is a delightful cottage in a beautiful spot. We were glad to stay there.

The property

This delightful cottage is 5 minutes’ walk from the picturesque white-washed church which shelters at the foot of Mwnt and offers lovely contemporary accommodation on the Cardigan Bay coastline.

The beach at Mwnt is approached by 139 steps and is a sheltered beach with golden sand.

Dolphins can often be seen in the bay which makes this quite a magical place. The market town of Cardigan is about 5 miles away and has a good selection of shops, galleries, eateries and pubs, as well as a theatre/cinema and restored castle which hosts various events throughout the year.

There are plenty of other beaches along this stretch of coast including Poppit, Patch, Tresaith, Aberporth, Penbryn and Llangrannog.

There is also a spa hotel and restaurant as well as two golf courses at nearby Gwbert.

Mwnt Cottages

Llaethdy and Beudy Cottage each sleep 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. Each has it's own decked area and there is a large lawned garden to share. It's a pleasant walk to Mwnt beach from the cottages.

The bustling market town of Cardigan in Ceredigion is set on the River Teifi and offers an array of shops, both unique local producers and larger chain stores, as well as tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and an impressive ruined castle, which is the home to the Eisteddfod. Cardigan castle has a fascinating history and has undergone substantial investment over the years. It is home to regular events throughout the year, along with a café and restaurant which has been strategically positioned with a view over the castle and River Teifi. Surrounding Cardigan is beautiful countryside, with long, dramatic cliff walks around the Cardiganshire coastline, whilst the rugged Pembrokeshire coastline is just a few miles away. You have the opportunity to visit the Cardigan Island Farm Park, wonderful Blue Flag sandy beaches like the National Trust beach Mwnt, take a boat trip to spot dolphins and seals, or horse riding at the friendly Dyfed Riding Centre. For keen cyclists take a trip on the National Cycle Route, Number 82. The nearby Preseli Mountains offer wonderful walking and cycling, with some stunning views and an ancient stone monument. Within driving distance is the town of Carmarthen, Dylan Thomas' Boat House in Laugharne, Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Lagoon indoor waterpark, Folly Farm Zoo and the Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran, as well as an array of castles, mills and craft centres.
