  • "Lovely accomodation in a great location for exploring Pembrokeshire."

Equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. Would definitely go back again.

Hi, many thanks for your lovely review. We are glad to hear that you had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay. Little Haven Retreat is a great location, being 3 miles from the delightful coast and approx. 40 minutes from St Davids, Tenby and the beautiful Preseli Mountains..... so its a great base to explore the area! Hopefully we will see you again in the near future! Property Owner

  • "Lovely clean cottage in a good location for exploring the area."

The covered hot tub saved our holiday with the weather not being great. The kids spent hours playing in there in the evenings. Too many positives about the cottage to list it was almost perfect for us. The only negatives are the oven not being very good and could have done with a bit more fridge space. These are small inconveniences though and did not affect us having a great holiday. We would definitely consider coming back.

Hi we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time in Ocean House, and that the children enjoyed the Hot tub. The cover over the tub is an added bonus; its great fun with the lights and music link to Bluetooth. There is an additional fridge in the utility room provided for guest use but thankyou for your review. Property Owner

  • "The house was great but for such a big house there are no wardrobes in 3 of the 4 bedrooms."

For people that use the downstairs bedroom there is not enough storage for clothes. I would have liked to see more space for hanging dresses etc.

Hi, many thanks for your review. There is a shared wardrobe space upstairs in the hallway, but we will take on board your comments. Thankyou. Property Owner

  • "We had a brilliant stay at Ocean house."

The whole house was absolutely beautiful with lovely large rooms. We took all our own but loved all the little extra touches...coffee, sugar and tea bags. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs even washing powder was supplied. There is even an extra little fridge in the utility room wee used this as our beer fridge lol. Massive chest freezer for all your frozen things ice lollys in our case (we were blessed with hot hot hot weather) the hot tub was a massive hit with the kids lovely Dai checked the levels everyday so it was always clean and topped up. The BBQ was a great extra too so had a few good nights out sitting on the raised decking eating drinking and watching the sun do down. We were lucky to see the meteor shower while we were there as there is not much light pollution around. Would highly recommend staying at Ocean House it was worth the 8hour journey down from Scotland, beautiful house , lovely staff and plenty to do round about. Will certainly be back.

Hi, many thanks for your lovely review. We are delighted that you had such a great time with us here at the Retreat. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back on the Park in the near future. Property Owner

  • "Great accomodation, facilities and great location to many attractions."

The accommodation was very big, spacious and user friendly for the 8 of us ranging from 6 - 58. Biggest hot tub we have ever been in which was set at 40 degrees :-D. Was nice and warm with an adjustable thermostat. Washer dryer which was used daily. Local to Little Haven beach, Broad Haven beach, Haverfordwest town which has Aldi, Tesco, Morrisons, McDonalds etc. Also not too far from St Davids and Picton Castle and Gardens.

Hi, many thanks for your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. The House is very spacious and the Hot Tub is super. We are only 3 miles form Little Haven , so for a family stay with children who love the beach, it is ideal. Property Owner

  • "Sykes misled us as it clearly states on the listing that it is in Broadhaven when it's actually miles from Broadhaven."

We made the booking on that basis so we were immediately disappointed with the location as we'd visited the area 3 yeaes ago and wanted to return there and not stay at Hasguard Cross. The shop didn't actually stock anything so it is pointless to promote a shop nearby as the nearest shop is miles away in Broadhaven. The house itself was nice, needed a little TLC in places but it was spotlessly clean apart from flies under the beds in the ground floor bedroom. It is classed as sleeping 8 which it does comfortably but there is not room for 8 to watch TV on the sofas. We were cold in the house and had no way of drying clothes or towels. I think there should have been information there in regards to the heating as we didn't get a response from emails sent requesting help with this from the owner or Sykes but apparently, as we found out on the last day, the boiler was in the garage next door and had to be turned on there. We were asked to complete a disclaimer for the hot tub which we did and it said the hot tub would be checked for the correct chemical balance numerous times during our stay but this was not checked for the whole week we were there. I think the property would benefit from a washing line and also ice cube trays. The little bar in the caravan park next door is lovely and serves delicious food a few nights each week, has a pool table too.

Hi many thanks for your review. We are sorry to hear that you felt misled by the description. We do take all our guest comments and suggestions seriously, as we always try to improve the service we provide. However, the property details clearly state the distance from Broad Haven to Ocean House, and there is also a map which provides the exact location, to help guests with their Holiday planning and preparation. Our Housekeeping team work hard to maintain a high standard of cleaning in our properties, but as we are a rural location and surrounded by agriculture, at certain times of the year, we will get flies inside the accommodation. Our reception only stocks a small selection of snacks, drinks and ice-cream (on a seasonal basis), but there is a Londis located in Broad Haven, under 3 miles away, which is well stocked for any emergencies. Otherwise Haverfordwest have all the large supermarkets, and we also accept Food Deliveries. Apologies, if you had difficulty with the heating, it is not normally switched on in August, but your comments are noted. There is a tumble dryer and clothes airer in Ocean House for guest use. The maintenance team would have checked the Hot Tub whilst you were out, no to have disturbed you during your stay. The bar next door is close and open on a seasonal basis, but there are also many lovely places to eat in Little Haven and Broad Haven. Property Owner

  • "Enjoyed the week at Ocean house."

Disappointed that a shower that was reported faulty on Monday was not repaired before we left on Friday even though they had the parts on Wednesday. Two single beds were very squeaky.

  • "Pleased that the owners had moved two single beds together and made them up as a double following my phone call to them directly."

This in contrast to your email timed to coincide with our arrival informing us that the owners were unable to comply with our request. The information regarding this propery was incorrect and your response was to our concerns was woeful.

Hi, many thanks for your comments. Initially we were doubtful whether we could comply with your request, but we are glad that we were able to provide the change to your sleeping arrangements. Property Owner
