  • "The sweet briar shephards hut is very small, so if you have a large dog like we did I don't recommend it cause there is no room for them, the bed was very comfy and it was clean, if the weather is good then you can sit outside but if its raining then the hut is not a place to sit in and be comfy."

Also there is nothing to do on an evening which can get really boring after a while, we never meet the owners so we could talk with them and see what activities are going on what there was to do which was a shame. If you like walking then your fine but if you have bad legs like I do walking is a big problem. Please state what you are getting into before people book cause if I had known before hand then we wouldn't have booked it ,our hut was on a slant and needs some work doing on it .

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are happy you found Sweet Briar clean & comfortable. We are truly lucky to have such a beautiful rural location & views. We’re sorry you found that the property wasn’t what you were expecting; we hope that the photographs & description provide a clear indication of what you may expect at the shepherds hut & surrounding areas. Shepherd's huts are not that spacious, however we have put a lot of thought into making it as comfortable as possible for our guests. The reservations team are always happy to talk through any specific requirements you may have and help you choose a property that will provide you with the best holiday experience. Thank you again for your review. Property Owner

  • "Wonderful location on working farm, in a very quiet field far from main roads and with outstanding views of Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains."

Excellent hikes can be taken from the site without needing car. Llangorse lake nearby with water activities. Comfortable shepherd's hut and friendly owners.

  • "Really nice place to stay, with a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills."

The area is gorgeous and we had a great time horse riding at Llangorse Multi Activity Centre. The lake has a nice walk around it and there is a good route through the fields to the village. The farm is lovely, the setup is very sweet and the hut and kitchen are very clean. Roy and his family are such lovely people and their dog Jess is very friendly and came to say hello a fair amount :)) There are a few things that could be improved: - There was no recycling bin so we took ours home with us but would be good to have facilities on site. - The kitchen is overall well kitted out but could do with a ladle or two (as we struggled with serving food) and more knives. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to visit Wales again soon! :))
