  • "The property was in excellent condition and lovely location."

We had a very comfortable stay

  • "We spent 5 lovely days at Cambriol recently."

The property was spotlessly clean and the facilities great. It is situated on a working farm but we really didn't experience any noise; it was so peaceful and the views out across the fields (with sheep, donkeys and cows in) are amazing. The cottage is well equipped and very spacious and we had lovely weather so could eat breakfast outside each day...............with the lovely cat for company. The sunsets in the evening were pretty amazing too. We would definitely stay again if in the area. Helen and Ian are great hosts and really do have a fantastic place.

It was very clean with everything you could need in the kitchen and cleaning products provided. Lovely soft towels in the bathroom and gowns and towels provided for the hot tub - a lovely treat after days out exploring Wales. The beds were lovely and comfortable with nice quality bedding. The cottage was nice and private with parking right outside, a car is a must to explore the area with lots to do within an hour radius including walks, caves, mines, castles and houses. Helen and Ian were very welcoming and helpful. A great place to stay.

Relaxing and peaceful location away main towns and cities. Cottage was well equipped and the hot tub was well received which looks out across the fields. Location is perfect for a quiet holiday with the family. The Welsh cakes were a nice surprise when we arrived. The cottage was clean and tidy and had a great view overlooking the valley. The hosts were amazing (Helen and Ian) we received a warm welcome and hospitality was exemplary. Highly recommend the cambriol cottage for anyone's stay! Thank you!

The hosts were amazing and so helpful. We loved seeing the new born lambs and feeding the donkeys. Location is perfect, rural enough to feel the sense of escape from reality but close enough to amenities (10 minutes drive). The views were impeccable. The hot tub indoors is a very nice feature. We will definitely recommend and return ourselves. One recommendation: to add a few more door hooks in bedrooms/bathrooms and hot tub area to hang towels and robes. Everything else = Perfect!

The owners were extremely welcoming, tea and freshly baked welsh cakes on arrival. Plenty of clean towels and fresh bedding. No details have been left out with this property, it finished off to an excellent standard. By far the best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. Clean, beautiful and the views from the property down into the valley are fabulous! We booked the property knowing the hot tub was housed instead of the usual cottages that have an outside hot tub. This was by far the best decision we made knowing the changes in the Welsh weather. It was worth every penny. The hot tub was lovely and warm and of the larger size too, with a shower in the hot tub house and amazing views , across the valley and hills, just perfect! Who ever visits Cambriol will not be disappointed!

So well equipped, clean and comfortable - hot tub was great after each day's sightseeing tours. The view is beautiful! Ideal location for touring south-west Wales, all within an hour's drive (depending on traffic/tractors/roadworks etc!). Definitely a place to return to in the future. Thank you for the bara brith - our first ever tasting. Came home and made one ourselves!

The cottage is lovely and was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Every evening was spent in the hot tub overlooking the spectacular views, which could also be seen whilst having our morning or afternoon coffee in the house or on the picnic bench outside. A renovated barn on a working farm, with fascinating history shared by the super friendly owners, we had everything we needed (so well equipped). High quality furnishings, linen and towels ( I love it when bath sheets are provided) and a hot tub with views over the Gwendraeth Valley. We saw the farm's donkeys, a bird of prey landed outside the window and a fox creeping along the path. We enjoyed every aspect of our 5 day stay at Cambriol. Thank you so much

I don't tend to leave feedback, but this property deserves a review. The owners, Helen and Ian were the most welcoming, friendly, helpful and perfect hosts. We can't fault the cottage in anyway-5*, the hot tub was the best we've ever been in-perfect, the views-wow, the location-central and the friendly donkeys-which our girls absolutely loved. At first I was thinking there wasn't much to do close by, but I was very wrong. Such a variety, for example Botanical Gardens, Tenby beach, Pembrey Country Park, Zip-World (south), Oakwood Theme Park, Monkey Sanctuary, LC swimming pool, Rhosilli Bay, cinema...I can go on, all brilliant places to visit. Highly recommend Cambriol for anyone's stay.

The hot tub is amazing, we spent most of the holiday there. The cottage is kept super clean and the hosts are very nice people that are also very helpful. Everything we needed was there. If I had to point out something that could be improved I could only say that there is potential to make it more cozy by adding more decoration (carpets, pictures, curtains, plants, clocks)

Really homely feel & the heated flooring made coming home really inviting. Hot tub was amazing, along with the towels & robes provided for walking back & forth from cottage. Owners made you feel really welcome & were just a quick message away. Really is a jem in the Welsh countryside. Our own very small issue were the sofas are so deep & soft that they offer no support & it felt like you were getting out of a bucket. This is a personal opinion, and wouldn’t stop us coming back again.

The property

Nestled in the Gwendraeth Fach Valley, between the villages of Llangynderyn and Llanddarog, this superb, semi-detached stone barn conversion is situated on the owners’ working sheep farm, in wonderful countryside, seven miles from Carmarthen in South Wales. This delightful Llangyndeyrn cottage has been beautifully presented by the owners, offering an ideal base for a couple or small family, with something for everyone to enjoy in this lovely area. Character features and modern furnishings work well together in this charming Llangyndeyrn cottage, and the owners have paid their respects to the famous Sir William Vaughan who lived here for a while before founding the area known as Cambriol (Little Wales) in Newfoundland, hence why they named the cottage Cambriol. The open plan living area at your holiday home near Carmarthen is delightfully large and boasts wonderful windows to the floor from where scenic views can be admired. Time together is so important and can be happily enjoyed while meals are prepared, cooked and eaten, along with time playing board games or watching TV in this superb living space. The oak stairs lead up to two charming bedrooms with oak-style floors and exquisite furnishings, with both offering bathroom facilities, so enjoy a relaxing soak in the bath, whilst looking out onto the excellent views. Also, the master bedroom is unique with its own small stairway leading to the bed. The property also benefits from a purpose built Hot Tub house where you can relax and enjoy the fantastic views across the valley no matter what the weather.

Being fully enclosed with its own shower you can enjoy the Hot Tub during the coldest days in winter or can be opened up to enjoy the sun on the warmer days.

Bath robes and towels provided. Depending on the time of year you stay, you will enjoy seeing sheep in the fields and maybe see a few lambs being born too, plus you may wish to wander around the farm and into woodland, or try a spot of river fishing. Within reach is the coast, lovely towns, theme parks and much more. A quality South Wales cottage with so much to see and do in the area.
