"The cottage was wonderfully cosy and comfortable, beautifully furnished and with everything we needed."
The setting is so peaceful and the coast nearby was fantastic for coast path walks and beaches. Thanks to the owners for all they put in place, including a lovely basket of good treats.

"The cottage was gorgeous and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay."
Very cozy and comfortable too. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and the helpful guide book left by our hosts was very handy plus we were given a lovely welcome basket with lots of treats. Thank you for a great holiday.

"Everything was great, however if you publish the property is dog friendly help the visitors make it work."
How can owners not let their dog upstairs if they are asleep? If it’s an issue then place a child gate or similar at the base of the stairs then at least it’s the owners to blame not the dog! Dog rant aside it was an amazing, tranquil place to enjoy a well deserved break.
I'm glad you found your holiday to be great and that it was an amazing, tranquil place for a deserved rest. When I go to a holiday cottage/hotel my dogs are crated overnight as are most that visit Bwthyn Gynon. I will take you up on your suggestion and will put in a stair gate at the foot of the stairs. It will make accessing the stairs more difficult and also unsightly. Your neighbour at the cottage commented that your dog was not friendly and barked a lot; however I thank you for leaving the cottage in a tidy condition. Property Owner

"Lovely stay at Bwthyn Gynon."
The Cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy and had everything you could wish for in a holiday home. Loved the enclosed garden, so peaceful and dog friendly. Thoroughly recommended. We will definitely be returning.
Many thanks. Glad you had a lovely time. It was very nice meeting you. I hope to see you again. Cathy Property Owner

"Bwythyn Gynon is a lovely welcoming cottage that combines traditional features such as the wood burning stove with modern comforts like the lovely shower, modern kitchen and comfy beds."
The enclosed garden is a very dog friendly bonus. The surrounding area is beautiful, quiet and ideal for walking with views of dramatic coastal scenery. We also enjoyed visiting the art and craft galleries in the nearby towns and local food from fish and chips to fine dining.

"The owner turned up unannounced and accused us of leaving the lights on when we were out, as she had called around earlier."
In fact our grandson was upstairs but had not answered the door. Not what you expect. There were only two toilet rolls in the property so definitely not enough for a week
Sorry for the late reply to your feedback. Firstly I did not accuse you of anything - I mentioned that I had called earlier and thought you were in as the lights were on. It was a courtesy call, which I do with all guests. Two toilet rolls are provided - one for each toilet. It is self-catering after all. I hope you enjoyed the generous hamper. Property Owner

"We had the most wonderful holiday in Pembrokeshire."
The cottage was so lovely. Beautifully decorated with a brand new kitchen. Gorgeous toasty log burner and a bed which was like sleeping on a cloud. The Strumble Head coast, which was minutes away was magnificent with crystal clear turquoise water. Blython Gynon is a wonderful base to tour Pembrokeshire and we highly recommend staying there, you will not be disappointed.
Dear Julie and Terry. Thank you sooo much. We are delighted that you enjoyed. It was a pleasure meeting you both and the chats we had. Cathy and Mike Property Owner

The property
Strumble Head 3.5 miles, Fishguard 5 miles, St Davids 13.5 miles.
Set in a peaceful spot amidst the Pembrokeshire countryside and near the iconic Strumble Head Lighthouse, is the white-washed, semi-detached cottage of Bwthyn Gynon.
Ideal for families who want to explore the outdoors, the property enjoys views of the countryside and Garn Fawr, whilst also providing handy private parking for two cars.
On arrival, make your way inside and hang your coats in the porch area, before taking in your charming accommodation, with one of the key features being the original tile flooring.
Head to the lounge/diner, a space packed with character, thanks to its original chimney space, the impressive 'Simne Fawr', which now holds the rustic dining table.
There is also an attractively fitted, shaker-style galley kitchen offering a plethora of appliances.
Once a delicious meal has been savoured, continue to the sitting room, a pleasant space offering plush seating in front of the TV whilst also hosting a wood burning stove, for those cooler months, and a DVD player with plenty of DVDs for you to enjoy.
As the day winds down, continue upstairs to find two fabulous bedrooms, the first of which enjoys spacious interiors, whilst the other features a bed that is situated opposite the window, so you can enjoy those amazing views as you relax.
Before taking to bed, you can enjoy an invigorating rinse under the p-shaped bath's rainfall shower in the bathroom.
The property is accompanied by two wonderful outdoor spaces, with one being a front lawned area, and the other comprising a rear garden enclosed by mature shrubs, which makes for a lovely space for some alfresco dining.
Take in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast Path which is less than a mile's walk from the cottage or travel a short distance to Strumble Head for one of Pembrokeshire's picture-postcard sights, before taking in a cuppa at the cafe at Melin Tregwynt (working woollen mill with shop).
Then head down to the city of St Davids, home to a breath-taking cathedral and nearby beaches, including the beautiful Whitesands Bay.
For more coastal fun, go coasteering and Abereiddi's Blue Lagoon before enjoying a sumptuous meal in Porthgain's Sloop Inn or The Shed bistro - take your pick!
Finally, head back to Fishguard, where the last invasion of mainland Britain, in 1797, happened nearby.
View the incredible Last Invasion Tapestry in Fishguard's Town Hall and the story of our indomitable Jemima Nicholas!
There is still so much more to see in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, from the mythical Preseli Hills down to Marloes Sands!
A fantastic stay awaits at Bwthyn Gynon.
Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
