"Fantastic cottage very remote and peaceful."
Lovely lady who owns the cottage . Arrived and there was a beautiful home made cake awaiting for us which was absolutely bloody beautiful .

"Comfortable and cosy cottage ideal to explore west wales."
Was welcomed by the owner who gave us a tour around the cottage/ farmhouse and spoke about the background history of the cottage.

"This was a beautiful well equipped cottage in a wonderful location."
The host was fabulous and communication brilliant. The reason I can’t give it 5 stars is the cottage is divided in two with interconnecting doors up and downstairs, so when the guests arrived next door you could hear every word and it was like sharing your space intimately with another family. So that removed the element of peace and relaxation away from the rest of our stay…
I am so glad that you enjoyed Panteurig Cottage. I do apologise for any noise, the children next door were very excited to be on holiday. I look forward to welcoming you back again very soon. Property Owner

"The property is in a lovely area & the owner is very helpful."
Unfortunately our holiday was ruined due to the on going building work which is taking place on the barn & outbuildings, which are only meters away from the holiday cottage. We were woken at 8:00am by the noise that the workmen made when they arrived and started work. This continued throughout the day with lorries & pick up trucks going past our door. There were large lorries delivering materials, noise from diggers and other machinery, workmen calling to each other and clouds of dust. Sadly, it was not peaceful & quiet it was like living on a building site for a week.
I'm so pleased you liked the cottage and very sorry your holiday was disturbed by the passing lorries and building noises. If you had made me aware, I could have at least re-routed the vehicles. Unfortunately, as I don't own the barn being renovated, I have no control but would like you to know I have now requested that the alternative lane is used for all traffic. Property Owner

"The location is stunning, off the beaten track and peaceful with beautiful walks nearby."
The cottage is nicely presented, decorated tastefully and well equipped. The owner is lovely and left us a lovely welcome gift which was absolutely delicious. You can park directly outside the cottage which is great when you are loading/unloading luggage. Although there isnt a secure garden i didnt worry about letting my dogs outside to go to the loo as the cottage is at the end of the lane so no cars whizzing about and the lane is safe to give your dogs a quick walk when needed. Small improvements could be made to make the cottage absolutely perfect, there is a lot of noise from the adjoining cottage which cant really be helped as there is nothing to deaden the sound due to the wooden floors. Due to this it didnt feel very private as you can hear conversations from next door. Maybe some more rugs and possibly door curtains would help? The underfloor heating is wonderful but the thermostats on the heating didnt seem to work very well and the radiator on the bedroom was "switched off" but that had no effect and the heat was absolutely suffocating. In the winter though the cottage would be very cozy. We had noticed a couple of very large flies and woodlice in the upstairs bedroom and when we stripped the bedsheets on leaving day found some dead ones inside the duvet cover which was unpleasant. The shower could do with a good clean and get rid of some black mould in places. The cottage is very old (and stunning) it is located on a farm and these things need to be born in mind as there are always going to be flies and creepy crawlies about. If the very minor things could be resolved then it will a perfect place to visit for a holiday. I hope that our review is balanced and fair as it really is a lovely place that just needs some minor tweeks to become perfect. We would definitely stay again!

"Property is in great location but don’t be fooled by the quirky cottage."
Property was dirty and I’m not sure how the property ever passed any fire regulations as the 3 connecting doors are clearly not fire doors. With both properties having log burners and no real escape route out of the bedroom we certainly didn’t feel safe. Owner was very welcoming but I’m afraid we won’t be back. Suggestions for owner - new roof window needed in bedroom (one that opens), fire doors, step stool required to reach those dusty cobwebs & window sills, night light down stairs to make visits to the toilet easier during the night. Clothes horse to dry wet clothes, boot store or rack to stack those dirty boots.
Thank you for your feedback. The owner would like to point out that a clothes airer is provided and there is room in the cleaning cupboard for dirty boots. To re-assure future guests, both the cottage and the adjoining farmhouse have current, valid, Fire Risk Assessments. Despite fire doors not being a requirement in a holiday rental of this type, the owner has, in fact, had them fitted. Property Owner

"The holiday cottage is in a beautiful location and has been nicely decorated."
HOWEVER: 1)The walls and doors between the two cottages are thin which means that there is very little sound insulation. We were very fortunate that the people staying "next door" were pleasant. But from previous reviews this could have been a very uncomfortable stay. 2) Apart from a hanging rail, There is no storage i.e. a set of draws where to can put your clothes in the bedroom, which is odd in such a nice house. 3) Unfortunately the bed sheet though laundered was far from clean and the bed blanket covered in dog fur. Both were replaced by the apologetic owner. 4) Given the above he cottage is vastly overpriced This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location so its a real shame that seemingly straight froward issues that have been fed back on many occasions are not being resolved.

"There were a number of things that disappointed us."
Primarily we did not think it was good value for money compared to our recent stay at the red barn in Devon. Cost per head at this cottage was around £650 whereas for a similar week in Devon would have been around £500 or less. In Devon there was 2 pools, tennis court, huge outside space plus much more inside room. THis for us made Panteurig very overpriced. There were a few small things that were irritating, including having power off for a day, and being asked to take our own towels in particular. However the biggest issue was the noise from the other part of the house. There was nothing in the description which warned us that any noise made in the other part of the house would be heard. The guests in the other part of the house were late to bed and late risers whereas we are the opposite. This meant that they disturbed us in the early hours after midnight whereas we probably disturbed them at 7am. I wish we had warning of this. We would appreciate a reply on these issues. We have never had cause to complain before about Sykes but do feel this was disappointing given the cost
The website does state that Panteurig Farmhouse and Panteurig Cottage are interconnected but we are sorry if you missed this. Property Owner

"Would be good to have an armchair as well as sofa."
It was a fabulous location. The host was lovely and welcoming and left some delicious Braer Bread. The location is perfect for keen walkers.

"Way way over priced for a very mediocre property."
- very tired - needs updating and cleaned. Cobwebs everywhere- dead flies in light fittings and on roller blinds. Windows filthy. Walk in wardrobe damp and smelly - no drawer storage in bedroom. Noise from adjoining property so loud felt like they were in the same room - very very disappointing. Lady owner was lovely / her complementary cake was fab and there was always lots of hot water . "Lovely cottage and very friendly helpful owner."
The garden is not enclosed so dog owners beware. Area beautiful. I was in the smaller off the two cottages with friends in the larger one which was fine however, if I had not of known 'next door' I think it would have infringed non my enjoyment and it is just a basic interconnecting door.

"The cottage is a quiet remote retreat, right off the road up a track, close to lovely local walks."
Old farm building renovated, traditional Pembs cottage. It’s next to a working farm so beef herd nearby. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Personal touches like a vase of flowers and freshly baked bara brith. The owner is friendly and very welcoming.

Just a mile from Strumble Head and close to Pwllderi, this is one of the most beautiful and dramatic stretches of the Pembrokeshire coastline.
This delightful cottage makes a perfect holiday base for two (plus one child) in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
A bridleway/footpath leads you directly to the coastal path and there are lots of beaches and coves along this stretch of the coastline.
At various times of the year you can spot seal pups from the cliffs on the coves below or migrating birds.
It’s a great place for ornithologists and dolphin spotting and even if you don’t spot anything it’s a splendid place to be. St Davids, Solva, Newgale, Newport, Porthgain, Abereiddy and Whitesands are all within a half hour drive of the cottage.
The nearest towns are Goodwick and Fishguard, each with a good selection of individual shops, galleries and eateries.
