"We very much enjoyed our stay."
Very roomy and comfortable. The welcome Bara Brith cake was delightful and inspired us to bring some more home! Recommended.

"We had a lovely stay at Panteurig Farmhouse the house was comfortable and well equipped and in a beautiful setting."
Olwen was a lovely host and nothing was any trouble. We hope to return again.

"As described, it is a large, spacious and well equipped farmhouse."
My one irritation was that the advertising made no mention of the building site next to the back garden. At around 8am, the cement mixer would start up. Had the weather been hot enough to sit in the back garden, we'd have listened to the builder's radio and their general chat. Once the work is complete, the site will be (once again) very peaceful.

"Panteurig Farmhouse is in a wonderful location, not far from Fishguard but in a peaceful location with beautiful views."
It has been nicely renovated & benefits from underfloor heating downstairs under the lovely stone floor. The rooms are spacious & simply decorated with traditional furniture. The beds are very comfy. It was all very clean however we did have a bit of an issue with woodlice who were very numerous particularly in the shower room, lounge & main bedroom. The owner (who is lovely & popped round) did provide us with some pest spray. The kitchen is well equipped (although the non-stick pans probably need replacing) & having a downstairs 'boot room ' was brilliant for drying towels & wet weather gear. There was no-one in the attached cottage until our last night which was great as the occupiers that night had 2 dogs & as others have commented there is not much soundproofing between the 2 properties (also the stone floors mean noise echoes). The walks from the property are wonderful- up to Garn Fawr & over to Strumble Head but it is a longer walk to the coastal path than the listing implies. The area is fantastic- so many beautiful beaches & walks. We recommend a boat trip round Ramsey Island (& the Farmers Arms pub in St Davids), the Last Invasion Tapestry in Fishguard, the cafe at Melin Tregwynt & a walk down to Aber Bach beach, and the walk from Abereiddy to Porthgain.

Cosy, bag of logs to keep us warm, lovely Welsh cake on arrival. Couldn't ask for more. Hope to see you again x

"Location, Location, Location!"
that's what you're buying. Great location for a walking holiday, just don't expect sandy beaches. Not much else to say, except be lucky with the weather!

"We loved the property- amazing view."
Had all required amenities and was spacious and comfortable. Owner was very friendly without being intrusive. Would certainly recommend to others.
-
"Perfect for a quiet holiday in beautiful surroundings, with the spectacular coastal path not far away."
A very good base to explore Pembrokeshire. Many thanks to Olwen for her kind welcome,

"This is a beautiful house in an incredible location."
Alwin was a very friendly host, and we appreciated the delicious bara brith. The bedroom could benefit from blackout curtains, though we couldn't fault it any further.

"A lovely holiday home, tucked away down a country lane in a very quiet peaceful location."
No shops or pubs nearby though. Only a short distance from the coast offering stunning scenery. Cottage was very spacious, for once didn't have to duck our heads in every room we went into! The wifi was very poor though, which was a problem for us, maybe get a booster, apart from that, lovely big rooms and a nice big garden. The owner was lovely and we enjoyed chatting with her about the area.

"Absolutely loved the location, so secluded and perfect for walking and following the coastal path."
A nearby cove enabled daily swimming, about 1 hour walk from the farmhouse over the hill toward the lighthouse. The house was beautifully warm despite the gusty winds outside. Lovely garden, though we had dogs and as not fully enclosed kept them on the lead. We were lucky and had no one next door in the adjoining 2 annex. It would be perfect for renting both properties for a family get together. Very friendly owner, happy to be contacted at anytime, not that we needed to. Would love to go back, thank you.

"Very spacious with big garden."
Great accommodation when booked with cottage for extended family. Lots to do in the area, but peaceful with amazing skies at night.

"Lovely stay."
Cottage was beautiful and in a very peaceful area. The host was lovely and left us a delicious cake when we arrived, welcomed us when we got there. We all had a great time, thank you.

"Beautiful, tranquil setting in an original old farmhouse."

"The owner was friendly, lovely location and good for visiting different parts of Pembrokeshire."
However, the general noise from the next door cottage was intrusive. We were looking to get away for a quiet break; the couple next door were not excessively noisy but we could hear their conversations, tv and general kitchen noise (which also upset our young dog). The stairs were particularly loud. It’s a shame it was t made clear in the description that the 2 properties could be interconnecting as we would have booked elsewhere. I’m sure it was the same for the couple staying next to us. We tried to ask the children to be as quiet as they could; again not what we wanted on our holiday. After booking I did note a few reviews on other websites about this problem a d the owner mentioned it herself when I rang about key collection. So she is obviously aware of it but it was too late by then for us. I suspect they aren’t usually rented out at the same time until recently, due to the increased demand with everyone staying at in the UK. We would return if the other cottage wasn’t being rented as the area is beautiful.
We are pleased you loved the property's location and found it a good base for visiting other parts of Pembrokeshire. The website does state that Panteurig Farmhouse and Panteurig Cottage are interconnected but we are sorry if you missed this. Property Owner

"Excellent walks on bridal ways close to the farm The property was spacious and had everything to meet our needs."
The garden was superb - only noises you could hear were birds chirping and the occasional farm vehicle getting in their hay. A great property to get away and relax in. If you needed TV you could get all the main channels and wi fi was good.

"The owner, Olwen, could not have been more helpful."
She was available at the end of the phone throughout. A beautiful spot with lots of lovely dog walks nearby. The local eating places were very booked up because of the pandemic restrictions so we largely ate in, but had some memorable crab sandwiches. Parking is very cheap at beaches and in towns compared to other holiday destinations in the UK. Cardigan was a good day out and, of course, St Davids. The surf at Newgale beach was worth the drive.

"Had a great time at the farmhouse with our friends I would give top marks however I could only get 1 channel to work on TV sky."
Other than that I would look to stay again, landlord is very friendly and helpful... Thanks Martin

The property
Strumble Head is a great place for walking and watching the fabulous native and migrating wildlife such as seals, porpoises, dolphins and birds.
Panteurig Farmhouse dates back to 1795 and is near a huge rocky outcrop called Garn Fawr, a Dark Sky site, just above Pwllderi in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
On a clear day you can see down to St Davids, over to the Preseli Hills and across to Ireland. The nearby towns of Goodwick and Fishguard are about 10 minutes by car and offer individual shops, restaurants and pubs.
St Davids with its magnificent cathedral and Newport with its lovely beaches, are both well worth visiting and are each within a half hour drive.
If you enjoy walking, a bridleway/footpath leads from the Farmhouse to the 186-mile-long Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Alternatively, the seasonal coastal bus service passes the end of the lane if you prefer to walk a different stretch.
Panteurig Cottages
Panteurig Farmhouse sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms. The interconnecting, but self-contained Panteurig Cottage sleeps 2. The farmhouse has a large, walled garden and lawn, the cottage has a private patio.
About the location
GOODWICK
Fishguard 2 miles; Newport 9 miles; St. Davids 15 miles.
Goodwick is a picturesque coastal village overlooking the bay where the twice daily ferries run to Ireland. With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable. Historic castles, theme parks, art galleries, kayaking, coasteering and boat trips to the islands are all nearby and St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral is a short drive away, while the coastal town of Newport, with its fantastic beach, is closer still. A perfect location all year round.
