  • "We had a wonderful stay at Ty Castell."

The house was spotlessly clean and immaculately maintained, it certainly had the wow factor when we first arrived. We were very fortunate with the weather so enjoyed relaxing on the outside terrace which has the lovely castle view. The location of the property is perfect for local amenities in Pembroke, and as a base to explore the lovely area of Pembrokeshire. Communication with the owners, Ben & Sarah, was personal and informative and we liked that they sent us lots of information about the property and local places to visit, before our arrival. We highly recommend this holiday home.

Thank you for your kind feedback, we also love the view from house and terrace. Property Owner

The property

New from July 2021 - freshly decorated, furnished and carpeted with stunning views of Pembroke Castle and Millpond, tucked away in a quiet but central location, this three-story townhouse is a short walk to the pubs, shops, cafes, and restaurants within the ancient town of Pembroke.

Perfectly positioned to enjoy uninterrupted views of the stunning architecture of the 11th century Pembroke Castle, this remarkable holiday home offers an idyllic base for both family and friends alike looking to discover the delights of the coast and country of Pembrokeshire.

Two sought-after off-road parking spaces greet you upon arrival, leading you into the homely dwelling and into a handy hallway space, where you can kick off your shoes and freshen up in the cloakroom before heading through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, fit with all the modern amenities necessary to assist the chef in preparing a heart-warming meal for the group to enjoy gathered around the grand dining table.

Make the most of the warmer weather and take your dining experience outdoors with a seat in the terrace garden, where you can soak in captivating views across the scenic water to the medieval Pembroke Castle, or toast a glass of fizz to a wonderful holiday under the canopy of the stars in the late evening.

Climb the stairs to the first-floor where you'll find the charming sitting room, fit with a snug seating area gathered in front of the television, inviting you to nestle in for a family movie, or escape the excitement with an intimate seat on the balcony, overlooking the marvellous castle.

When sleep calls, you're spoilt for choice with three tastefully decorated bedrooms, a double room, benefiting from it's own en-suite shower room located on the first-floor along with a king-size room, framing views of the Castle Millpond and a twin room nestled on the second-floor.

Completing the property is a contemporary family bathroom, fit with an elegant bath with overhead shower, giving guests the choice between indulging in a leisurely soak, or a quick morning rinse.

Get acquainted with your surroundings by venturing into the center of Pembroke via the scenic millpond pathway, where you'll find a selection of charming pubs, restaurants and quaint cafes, along with a well-regarded delicatessen.

Discover the rich history of the town with a stroll along its medieval walls, visiting Pembroke Castle to enjoy amazing far-reaching views across the rooftops and marvel at the 12th century keep which is an architectural novelty due to the huge cylindrical tower.

Enjoy a picnic within Lower Common Park, or hire a boat out on the Mill Pond, perfect on a sunny afternoon.

The property is just off the coastal path and has good routes for walking, cycling and jogging.

Spend a fun-filled day at the beach with a visit to the nearby Barafundle Bay, maintained by the National Trust, or head to Fresh Water East, both beautifully-decorated with white sand, or slightly further afield, enjoy the scenic stretches of golden beach in Tenby, where Goskar rock juts out of the sand.

There's plenty to see on land too, with the ruins of Tenby Castle nestled on the headland, boasting scenic views across the water, and Tenby Museum and Art Gallery showcasing the towns maritime history.

Avid adventurers will be delighted with a visit to Saundersfoot, where you can partake in a quirky Sea Safari, heading out onto the water aboard a charter vessel in the hopes of catching sight of seals, dolphins, minke whales and basking sharks.

With all of this and more, Ty Castell is perfectly positioned to explore the offerings of West Wales and Pembrokeshire.
