  • "Beautiful lodge with everything you need in excellent location."

The owners were brilliant. The fridge broke down and within 2 hours a brand new fridge freezer had been installed. Couldn't have asked for more.

Thanks so much for your positive feedback. Thanks also for your understanding. Unfortunately, life conspires to present us with challenges sometimes but we always try to pull out all the stops for our guests and we’re most grateful that you have acknowledged this. Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and hope that we can welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, Chris and Sean. Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved the lodge, it was very clean and well presented, the only problem was the on-suite shower to the main bedroom needs servicing as we couldn’t use it all week as there was no cold water coming through only hot and it was too hot to shower in therefore we used the main bathroom."

Plus there were only 5 mugs in the lodge so had to keep washing them out afterwards so could do with more mugs. The beach was about 7mins away in the car but we thought it was on the site as shown in the photos, but other than that we had a lovely time ❤️

We’re pleased that you had a great stay. We are surprised that you didn’t contact us if there was a problem with the shower as we would have got our handyman to attend straight away. Upon receipt of your feedback we sent him there immediately . The shower temperature control has a button that should be pressed to permit the temperature to be increased. The control had been forcibly turned and had caused the button to stick thereby keeping the control on hot. He has now repaired it. We provide a set of six mugs for the lodge ( for maximum occupancy of four people) so can only assume that one had been broken. If we had been alerted we would have replaced it with one of our spares. The distance to the nearest beaches/ resorts ( the photos of which you are referring to) are clearly stated on our property listing. Kind regards, Chris and Sean. Property Owner

  • "Fed back faulty/maintenance issues during my stay to the owners - a door hanging off the hinge and a bathroom door which locked you in from the inside."

The owner has now wrongly billed me for faults within their property! Would not recommend.

In order to put a balance on this review, we would comment as follows; You contacted us on the afternoon of 29th to request an early occupation on 30th, which we managed to facilitate at short notice at no extra cost to you. You contacted us on the evening of 30th ( your day of arrival) with a query on how to operate the heating at the lodge which we responded to immediately. You did not make us aware of any maintenance issues at that point. We received a text from you at 08:28 on New Year's Day stating that , "if you weren't aware, the door to the kitchen is loose as the bottom hinge has gradually got worse we can't close it, also the toilet door in the hallway locks on the inside so you can't get out it's not a problem just thought I'd let you know" (sic). We responded advising we would get our handyman to attend the following day ( on your departure). When we attended the lodge after your departure,we discovered that the door was completely ripped off its hinges. The toilet door lock was indeed not working and required a new handle . In addition to this, every light, both internal and external had been left on with the heating on full. There was discarded food left on the hob, plates of burnt uneaten croissants on the table and left in the oven, dirty dishes left everywhere , food left in the fridge and an overflowing waste bin. The damage resulted in a callout and repair charge from our handyman with new parts having to be ordered and greatly increased cleaning. Under the circumstances we feel that the £70 charge levied was extremely reasonable. There were also discarded baby clothes and a baby's bottle left in the double bed despite your booking clearly being made for four adults. This was a contravention of the site rules and resulted in over occupation of the lodge which was a breach of site H&S. Chris and Sean Sullivan. Owners. Property Owner

  • "The lodge is beautiful, comfortable, well maintained and well stocked with everything you might need, great welcome pack."

The only downside is the site and location. Apart from a small childrens play area and a tiny shop at reception there is nothing here and everywhere seemed to be at least 30 -40 minutes in the car so we spent a lot of time driving. The local beaches are great so if all you want to do is stay local this is a great place to unwind. Oh and the hot tub is brilliant :)

Thank you for your positive feedback on the lodge and hot tub and we are pleased you had everything you needed. Sorry to hear that the unspoilt location was not to your taste(During the season, residents have access to a club house adjacent to the park with access Through the dog walk area). Being located just minutes from both Little and Broad Haven (with a fine selection of pubs, eateries, Londis store, water sports shop, beach shops and fresh crab/lobster outlet) and the surrounding array of wonderful beaches, plus only 10-15 minutes from Haverfordwest and Milford Marina, we like to think that the site provides a good base for enjoying the locality as well as being ideally placed to enjoy everything that Pembrokeshire has to offer within a 30 - 40 minute drive - from Tenby , Saundersfoot, Folly Farm etc to St. Davids, Fishguard and Newport. Hope to be able to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Chris and Sean. Property Owner
