  • "Excellent property"

  • "Lovely property, great location, convenient parking."

Very clean, and being dog friendly our beloved Spaniel Poppy could enjoy the holiday too, with some magnificent walks to be had around Hay right from the door. A bottle of wine , some milk and chocolate biscuits awaited us which was a thoughtful touch from the owner. We gave already decided we shall return for another visit. One very minor nit-pick - there were no dishwasher tablets so we couldn't use the dishwasher, but overall the property is excellent and we had a lovely holiday in it.

Thank you for the positive feedback and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Apologies my oversight not checking dishwasher tablets Best wishes Cheryl Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, very comfortable and well equipped for 2 couples."

Great location. Parking tight for two cars but is doable for 2 medium SUVs.

  • "The cottage is stunning and has been finished to an excellent standard throughout."

It's just a one or two minute walk to the shops and castle and the single parking space behind the cottage is ample for an average sized car. The smaller of the en-suites may be a bit of a squeeze for a generously proportioned individual. We think the tariff we paid (August 2024) was excellent value. Highly recommended.

Thankyou for the lovely feedback and appreciate your comments about small second en-suite. Hope to welcome you back again soon. Best wishes Cheryl Property Owner

Comfortable beds, two en suite bathrooms, great smart TV, kitchen, parking and WiFi. We wished we'd booked for longer!

I’m so happy you enjoyed your stay and the cottage. Would welcome you back anytime. Thankyou and best wishes Cheryl Property Owner

  • "The only down side to this property was the access for parking."

With a large car the one way street is very narrow. The property itself however is very well presented, clean and comfortable. A vase of fresh flowers was a lovely welcoming touch. My aunt and I felt at home here. We would definitely stay again.

Thankyou for your feedback and welcome you to stay in the future. Best wishes Cheryl Property Owner

  • "The host was extremely accommodating with a couple of queries we had before our stay and also responded really promptly too: greatly appreciated."

We loved the fact that dogs were really catered for (even though we didn't have one with us!) with old towels left for muddy paws and treats etc in the utility room.

So happy you enjoyed staying with us and thankyou for lovely comments. Best wishes Cheryl Property Owner

Great to have the car parking space with this cottage - a bonus in this small town. We enjoyed our first visit to ‘Hay’, with the shops and Castle, an easy walk from the cottage - hope to visit again! Many thanks to the owners. Alan and Gill.

It had all that we needed for a wonderful stay, very dog friendly with lots of considerate touches. Space for 2 average size vehicles at the rear. The Black Lion pub is immediately opposite (great food) and only a 2-3 minute walk to the town centre shops, pubs, restaurants. The host was a great communicator and very helpful. A super place to stay, we will be returning.
