"The Little House is full of character, and very well equipped."
Stephen welcomed us and checked that all was well. We really enjoyed feeding the birds with the food provided and their antics made for an interesting breakfast! Llanboidy is an interesting old village with lots of footpaths into the surrounding countryside. It has good access to many interesting places - of note the Botanic Gardens of Wales and Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas. It should be noted that there is no longer a pub in the village which means travelling to St Clears or further afield if you want to eat out.

"I really enjoyed my break at the Little House Llanboidy."
It gave me the stress free break I needed. The cottage was a sweet environment well equipped and comfortable. I would certainly recommend a stay there.

"A lovely, cosy cottage, with a very warm welcome from the host."
Immaculately clean throughout. Kitchen very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need to create wonderful meals. Comfy lounge. Loved the quirky bedroom. Enjoyed feeding the variety of birds that visited the garden. Had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

"Lovely well equipped cottage."
Attractively designed garden with a secluded, sunny seating area. Lots of birds giving breakfast entertainment with the bird feed and books provided.

"Nice little cottage, but is so very uncomfortable we had to stack pillows up on the sofa to try and get some sort of comfort without success."
Sykes say in there listing that you can sink back into a plush seating I don't think they tried this out before they printed this.the mattress was a lot smaller than the bed frame so no comfort there either.we had to cut our holiday 4 days early because of these problems.far too much wooden furniture in such a small room.less is more
Thank you for your review, I'm sorry that your holiday had to be cut short because you felt discomfort. As can be see from the other reviews for Little House, guests have enjoyed their stay here so it is unfortunate that you didn't feel the same. Property Owner

"Just had a weeks holiday in the Little House."
A real home from home, and Steve the landlord was most helpful. A wonderful centre for touring south west Wales. One can be anywhere on the coast or inland in a very short time.Great place to stay.

"Absolutely amazing cottage and such a good getaway from the world."
Very cozy and great location. The landlord is so lovely, would recommend and will be visiting again :)

"What a perfect "off-grid" getaway."
There is no wifi or phone signal! Our host made us feel very welcome and was helpful from the moment we arrived. He had drawn a map showing the local walks around the village, which we made good use of. The area is truly beautiful. The cottage was very clean and quaint but with everything you could need. The electric shower was not very powerful but that didn't pose a major concern.

The property
Tucked away in the tranquil village of Llanboidy in Carmarthenshire is this traditional cottage, Little House.
Within close proximity to amenities including a local village shop and boasting a well-equipped kitchen and woodburning stove with additional oil heater, Little House welcomes two guests and their four-legged companion for a truly rural getaway in unspoiled South Wales.
After crossing the threshold into your new home-from-home, sink into the futon in the sitting room which can be used as a sofa or bed and relax in the warmth of a woodburning stove as your significant other cooks up a storm.
Sit down at the dining table and tuck into a feast, reflecting on your favourite memories so far over a bottle of wine, or venture outside and bask in your surroundings a little longer on the private patio.
When the sun sets, ascend the stairs and wash away the day in an en-suite shower room before clambering into a sumptuous double bed.
Take a walk along one of the many footpaths around the village and if you can tear yourself away from your rural idyll, meet some of the local furry occupants at Pembrokeshire Llamas, the ideal tourist hotspot for animal lovers.
Visit Laugharne to take in the stunning architecture of Laugharne Castle and soak up the history of the life and times of Dylan Thomas, before dipping your toes into the sand pathways at Llansteffan Beach.
Have a picnic at Colby Woodland near Amroth, which is managed by the National Trust and make sure you take in the spectacular Wales Coast Path along the way.
You'll never run out of things to do because the mythical Preseli Hills, the birthplace of Stonehenge is on your doorstep and a short drive will take you to the bustling and historic market town of Carmarthen.
Whisk your loved one away to Little House for an unforgettable trip to West Wales.
