  • "Lovely, well appointed property with comfortable beds."

    Very cosy and warm, quiet location and when the clouds have parted, a wonderful nigh sky viewing from the fantastic hot tub. Family of four visited and all enjoyed the cottage. Location is around 30 mins to the coast on little roads but that’s part of the scenic journey.

  • "We stayed at Green View for New Year and the cottage was beautiful."

    Chris and Steph were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Very good communication beforehand. Very accommodating, we had an additional dog and car and they were so helpful in ensuring nothing was too much trouble. The hot tub was a huge hit, even in the rain! We managed a trip to the beach (in December) and a walk around the forests before the weather meant we needed to stay indoors, but the facilities in the cottage were suitable to keep us warm and comfortable. We are already planning to return in 2025, maybe in the summer so we can visit more of the beautiful area.

  • "Steph and Chris run a fabulous place, the cottage was beautifully clean and homely, fully stocked kitchen even welsh cakes!"

    They made us feel welcome and offered advice on places to visit. The hot tub was lovely, even in November. Will definitely be back!

  • "We had a lovely week in Garden View with our familiy."

    It’s a lovely little house in a beautiful area. The house is great, with good comfortable beds and sofa, a lovely garden and - of course - the hot tub is brilliant. Our daughter had a lot of fun in the garden and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day with the baby monitor helping us keep an eye on our little ones. There are lots and lots of things to do in the surrounding areas - we particularly enjoyed dolphin watching in New Quay and Welly Wednesdays at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Steph and Chris were very friendly and welcoming hosts and they added that extra level to our stay. Also, our kids loved them and were quite sad to leave!

  • "We had a superb week at garden view, the cottage is a bolt hole from the normal, when the new landlords have settled in there will ben amazing place to stay."

    The hot tub, as the landlord knows, needs to be more private. But this is being looked at. South Wales is a lovely place to start your holiday from. Ruby, our miniature schnauzer loved the doggy area, somewhere for her to be free and know where to do her business. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

  • "We stayed at garden view cottage for almost a week."

    The location was ideal. just half hour away we watched the sunset at new quay harbour and went on a boat ride to watch some dolphins . We visited Tresaith aberporth beach and Tresaith waterfall it was beautiful. Chris and Steph were amazing hosts they were friendly, welcoming, understanding and really made us feel at home. They made adjustments to make us feel comfortable which we really appreciated and are grateful for, thank you both for a lovely stay ! The cottage had everything we needed for our stay , it was comfortable and ideal with little ones. The cottage had a lovely bedroom view of the garden which was nice to look out in the morning . The area was so peaceful surrounded by nature which was amazing for us as we live in a busy city.We are missing it already, my children just loved exploring the garden and say they miss the holiday home . Thanks again for everything and we wish you the best for the future

The property

Garden View is an attractive, semi-detached cottage, opposite the owner's home, is surrounded by tranquil countryside, on the outskirts of Llanybydder in West Wales.

Garden View is a wonderful, contemporary property for a couple or small family looking for a Welsh rural retreat to Carmarthenshire.

Step into the property to be greeted by a well thought out, open-plan living room, which makes the most of the space, with lovely dark wood flooring and a neutral colour scheme with splashes of grey and mustard.

The sitting room offers a corner sofa that the whole group can relax on while enjoying the view of the garden from the patio door or being entertained by something on the TV, while the dining table can comfortably seat the whole group and you can enjoy delicious meals together, prepared in the well-equipped kitchen.

The property has two contemporary bathrooms to choose from; a ground-floor shower room and a first-floor family bathroom with bath and handheld shower, so there shouldn't be any queues in the mornings, while upstairs you will also find the two bedrooms, which include a master king-size with stunning original beams, a TV and Juliet balcony, overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside, as well as a spacious twin, which would be ideal for younger guests.

Outside, you will find off-road parking for one car, as well as an enclosed patio garden with picnic bench and barbecue, so you can take full advantage of the good weather and dine alfresco, as well as a separate private hot tub area, sure to add a luxurious touch to your stay and the perfect way to round off the day.

There's even an enclosed dog exercise area, where your pets can run safely and freely.

Llanybydder Cottages

Llanybydder Cottages is a pairing of two beautifully presented cottages resting in the rural outskirts of Llanybydder, Carmarthenshire. With off-road parking and tasteful interiors, this pair of cottages is ideal for two couples, or groups of six and their four-legged companions. Each property boasts a well-thought-out living space, as well as welcoming bedrooms and sleek shower rooms for your refreshment. Outside there is a private patio with furniture and the added opulence of a bubbling hot tub, where guests can recline with a glass of fizz after a long day of exploring the local area. Pets can enjoy playing in the enclosed space provided. This pair of cottages is found on the edge of the Llanllwni Mountains, which offers many scenic walking, cycling and horse-riding opportunities through beautiful open countryside. The town of Lampeter is a few miles away, with a selection of independent shops and traditional eateries, as well as a local history museum. Just 10 minutes down the road is the start of the Brechfa Forest, perfect for mountain bikers and walkers alike. If it's the Mountains you're after then head North to the dramatic Cambrian Mountains, rich with wildlife and some of the most magnificent views imaginable. The property also benefits from being a scenic car journey away from the west coast of Wales and its picturesque beaches for those quieter afternoons, as well as the historic coastal town of Aberystwyth. There are all manner of tourist attractions available from the Devil's Bridge Falls where you can watch cascading waterfalls pass the nested bridges, while the National Trust's Dolaucothi Gold Mines is a unique and fascinating day out that is not to be missed. A small market town straddling the River Teifi, Llanybydder is a typical old Welsh town with a small selection of shops, including a Post Office, bakers and farmers co-operative, and a few pubs and eating places scattered throughout its streets. It is the focal point for the surrounding farmers, and regularly holds horse sales. The countryside is perfect for walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers alike. Set on the border between Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, Llanybydder is perfectly positioned to travel to the county town of Carmarthen with its busy shopping centre, with small individual quirky shops and the well-known high street stores, Merlin's Hill Centre and even a steam railway. The superb coastline of both south and west Wales is within 20 miles for great seaside days and coastal walks on the world renowned Welsh coastal path. An excellent central location to enjoy the south west of Wales.
