The property

La Bastille is an inviting detached holiday home located in Maenclochog (formerly the local jail!), an award winning village in the heart of Pembrokeshire.

Suitable for families, this property is child-friendly and loves pets with an unlimited number of dogs welcome!

It features a beautiful freestanding bath as well as a toasty woodburning stove.

From the outside, the house exudes character with its charming blend of rustic stone and contemporary simplicity.

Enter through the gate at the side of the property to find a cheerful, well-kept garden.

The garden includes a lawn where kids can play and a patio area, perfect for sitting out and enjoying the fresh air.

Access the house through the back entrance into a convenient utility room, which provides space to hang up your gear or perhaps throw on a wash.

The kitchen/diner is both welcoming and stylish, with blue panelled walls and a mix of benches and chairs around the dining table—a great spot to gather and refuel.

The sitting room tastefully combines rustic charm, featuring a stone wall and leather sofas.

You can light up the wood-burning stove, relax and use the Smart TV to listen to music.

There are also armchairs positioned to look out over the garden—perfect for reading or watching the dogs and children enjoying the outdoor space.

Upstairs, you'll find three bright and neatly arranged bedrooms: a king-size room, a double room, and a twin room.

These are serviced by a gorgeous bathroom with a spacious shower and a relaxing freestanding bath to soak your muscles.

If the bathroom is occupied, there’s also a quaint and useful cloakroom downstairs.

The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities to connect with nature and explore.

The Preseli Hills are on your doorstep and the popular Caffi Sgwaris literally just across the road or a short drive will take you to the iconic Tafarn Sinc Welsh pub.

A visit to Fishguard will tell the story of the 1797 Last Invasion of Mainland Britain, in which your historic holiday home La Bastille actually played its part!

Make sure to take in the coastal delights in all directions from your centrally located Pembrokeshire base, at Maenclochog's La Bastille.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.
