  • "Puffin Cottage provided a wonderful getaway for our family."

In a picturesque and well-maintained estate, the cottage exceeded our expectations, offering more than the photos conveyed. The breathtaking views, especially the sunsets and the occasional visits from the horse in the back, were highlights of our stay. Our two dogs had a safe and enjoyable time exploring the surroundings. The cottage itself was comfortable, ensuring restful nights for us all. We enjoyed swimming in the heated, covered pool. There was everything we needed and we slept well! We made the most of our location with visits to Pendine Sands and New Quay, savouring delicious meals at HWB Food Hall (highly recommend the Thai cuisine!). Narberth offered charming shopping experiences, and even on rainy days, we enjoyed the Cofio Lounge in Carmarthen. A sunny day at Colby Woodland Garden, complete with a picnic, was the cherry on top of our relaxing and memorable stay at Puffin Cottage.

  • "We’ve just got back from a wonderful week in Puffin Cottage."

The grounds are beautiful and beautifully maintained. The pool was a hit especially with the grandchildren, I’d recommend you bring a dressing gown & flip flops for walking back to the cottage. The garden was stunning and secure, it is shared with two other cottages but when we were there we only saw our neighbours once, but be mindful of this if bringing your dog or if you are scared of dogs! The cottage on arrival was spotless and had a well equipped kitchen. Beds & settee weren’t the most comfortable but this didn’t impact on our stay & I am very fussy ha ha. Would we return??

Thank you for your kind comments Sarah. We are really happy the swimming pool was a hit with your grandchildren. We have now added an enclosed patio to Puffin cottage. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner

Beautiful place to stay, everyone very welcoming and warm, the only thing I would have liked is a separate garden to each other to allow the dogs to run around without worrying about other dogs

  • "We had a wonderful stay in Puffin Cottage."

The owners were very friendly and helpful - and we loved the guide book - it was so detailed and full of recommendations of things to do in the area. The pool is fantastic and no one else was using it during our stay so we pretty much had it to ourselves! The beds and the sofas weren't the comfiest but not unbearable. Our favourite part of the cottage was the patio - the view was spectacular and we loved sitting outside to watch the sunset every night. The place is great value for money and we would definitely return!

Thank you for your kind comments Laura, we are really happy to hear you had a wonderful stay and that you found the guidebook helpful. We hope to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

The accommodation was wonderful, spacious and clean we had everything we needed for a self catering holiday and more. The woodland grounds are superb and walking with your dogs you felt so safe in your own little estate. The lake is a fantastic spot and fishing was good, be prepared there are monsters in there my daughter had her rod pulled in and across the lake it was hilarious and memorable. The heated pool was a great bonus finishing the evening with a dip.The owners live on site and made you feel at home from the minute you arrive.Rob thank you for everything and I will contact you soon for our second visit.

  • "The location was beautiful and the pool was terrific for both us and the grandchildren."

Downside for us was the unattended roaming of dogs. One instance a spaniel puppy invaded our cottage running over the furnature and frightening my wife and grandchildren. Second, while having a drink and enjoying the lovely view at the rear, a large labrador appeared on the lawn and depositted a large pile of poo!! Because we had 2 boys playing on the lawn and our next door neighbours had children we were obliged to remove the offending left behind ourselves, although we had no dogs of our own. Not a nice thing to have to do on our holiday.

We are sorry that you were troubled by wayward dogs. We do ask guests to be responsible dog owners but if there has been an issue, we live on site and will do our best to resolve it straight away if you tell us. We want all our guests to have a great holiday Property Owner

  • "We were a little anxious about cleanliness, due to the COVID pandemic, but as soon as we arrived, felt completely at ease."

The family live on site and are only too pleased to help. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and comfortable, although we took our own pillows (our choice). We loved the heated pool, which you book through the owner, to use individually as a cottage. My grand daughter loved the play area too. A bonus for us was watching the stars as no light pollution. The cottage is one of four converted for rent and set in beautiful countryside but you do have to drive at least half an hour to go anywhere. We enjoyed visiting some beautiful beaches, castles and towns. We had a fantastic week and take home some lovely memories. Thank you.
