"An attractive cottage (no doubt a barn conversion)."
Has lots of potential but not a four star as advertised. Have stayed in many many cottages and never before have we had to strip the beds ourselves on vacating. Requires new double glazing and definitely toilet roll holders in bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. Rotary washing line needs attention instead of rocks to keep it in place and garden etc needs a general tidy up. Dark, cold and a bit disappointing on arrival but we got used to the cottage and it grew on us. Couldn't use the WiFi (password?!). Up to date information re supermarkets would have been helpful as found the Kilgetty coop in a right mess so a wasted visit. Contented Sole had the worst chips we had ever had. Oh and a shower cubicle upgrade is required upstairs if the property is to remain a four star. A few other pointers if it would help but not mentioned here. Just a general upgrade needed.
Hi Thank you for the constructive feedback. The cottage is due for an update this winter, to include windows, shower room update and decoration. The wifi code is clearly marked in the information folder, if you were struggling i was on hand to help with anything including connection as i mentioned on arrival. Im afraid i cant do anything about the chips although i will mention to my daughter who works there. This is the first complaint we have had about the chips from Contented Sole. The Coop in Kilgetty is currently running a pop up store as its undergoing a re-fit. Its not possible for us at this time to keep fully updating all information in the cottage about the local amenities . Once again thank you for the feedback, with most feedback being positive its hard to make judgements on how to improve. Regards Tim Property Owner

Lovely pub 5 minutes walk down the road. Helpful owners.
-
"The cottage was well equipped and in a very quiet position also excellent for sightseeing the surrounding area."
I would say the photos need updating the garden and garden furniture was a bit tired looking.
Hi Lesley Thank you for the feedback. The cottage is due to get some updates and improvements over the winter months. Im glad you enjoyed your stay in pembrokeshire. Tim Property Owner

"Disappointing owner forgot we were coming so not there to greet us found dirty ..."
Disappointing owner forgot we were coming so not there to greet us found dirty tee towels in washing machine the water system made loud noises when in use having used Sykes on many occasions we felt somewhat let down by this cottage
Hi I'm so sorry you felt let down by the cottage. The tea towels in the washing machine were an unfortunate over-site so apologies for that. Whilst I wasnt on site to greet you, my daughter did in fact show you into your property and an email was sent to you saying we may not be around. I wasnt aware of any noisy water system and now that you have flagged it up i will give it my full attention. Its unfortunate that you have gone away disappointed as from the Sykes feedback you can see the cottage scores well. Regards Tim Property Owner

"Very comfortable accommodation with lots of character."
Tim and Julianna very welcoming. The property is five minutes walk to Boars Head - good place to eat - and a good base for visiting wider Pembrokeshire . A lovely holiday, thank you.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming

"We had a lovely last minute stay at Barn Cottage."
Me and my husband went with our collie and another couple and there was plenty of room for us all. The cottage is well equipped and comfy, the porch was ideal in the wild stormy weather but at least the cottage was warm and we couldn't even tell how bad it was outside. Some lovely walks a short drive away, look forward to returning

"This was a great property to explore the Pembrokeshire costs line."
The house was also well equipped for all our needs and the dogs loved it too. Nice and warm and a comfortable bed.
-
"Nice property in a great location for exploring the beautiful area of a Pembrokeshire with all of the main visiting areas within a lovely 30 min drive."
A small group of cottages around a courtyard/parking area but each are private and quiet. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and clean with everything you need provided. Ideal for 2 couples or a family as 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The superking ensuite bedroom is fabulous and also has an extra single bed. Nice, large ,safe, gravelled enclosed garden area for the pooch. The local pub The Boars Head, literally a 1min walk down the road is an absolute must, the food and service is outstanding and it's dog friendly but advised to book as it gets very busy with locals and visitors. Tim the owner of the cottages is friendly and helpful and lives just behind the cottages so is always on hand if you need anything. Highly recommend a stay here and would not hesitate to return.

"We had a lovely long weekend in Barn Cottage."
It was very comfortable and well appointed, and the owners were really friendly and helpful. It was good to have a properly secure outside area for the dogs. We needn’t have worried about the road or the railway. The cottage is well tucked out of the way of the road and the trains are few and far between and passed in seconds. The cottage is ideally placed to visit the area. We walked for miles from the door and along the coast path, as well as visiting Colby NT gardens, Stackpole and Tenby. The dog-friendly pub is a few minutes walk away and was lovely. We would definitely recommend Barn Cottage!

-
"Very helpful couple, nice welcome pack but a pint of milk would of been helpful, the cottage was warm."
And cosy and comfortable. We were a bit disappointed that the train line was so close to the property. Overall have had an enjoyable stay.

"A really lovely cottage."
Excellent location. Thank you to Tim and Julianna.
-
"So relaxing."
Well equipped, comfortable, clean and dog friendly, as all enclosed. Close to many Pembrokeshire attractions with many beautiful beaches within a few minutes drive. Fantastic dog friendly pub just 2 minutes walk away that serves superb food if you don't fancy cooking. Great, friendly owners who are onsite, if needed, but not intrusive. Good wifi too, I took our Firestick and HD streaming was no problem. Highly recommended place for a wonderfully relaxing and restorative break.
