  • "The caravan was on a haven site that was clean and tidy with good facilities."

It was a short scenic walk into Newquay and a short walk to the beach but quite a steep access path so not easy for everyone. The caravan was a good size with good facilities but sadly the level of cleanliness was not good. There were dirty pans in pan drawer. Sediment in bottom of glasses. Lots of dust on venetian blinds in bathroom and shower room. The dishwasher was out of order which was not a problem but had been left with all stale food particles in it .The king size bed was comfortable but the bed linen was awful the fitted sheet and mattress cover did not stay on bed as all the elastic had gone so nothing to hold it on the mattress plus the sheet was really worn and all bobbled. Also what was worrying was 6 bottles of half drunken gin in lounge that could easily be accessed by a child . Also a large pack of paracetamol on bottom shelf of cupboard in the kitchen. There was also lots of personal items of the owners about taking up lots of cupboard space. The fire extinguisher was kept in a cupboard with nothing on outside informing guests it was in there. Also no information for nearest A and E Emergency dentist or chemist kept in caravan. I never leave negative feed back lightly but do so in the hope it will be used constructively to rectify problems and make it a better experience for future guests

I'm afraid these guests have a bee in their bonnet about something. The guest book in the caravan has many reviews saying how clean the caravan was. With regard to the gin bottles, all of them were empty and they were there for decoration purposes only. I have a wine rack. The personal items taking up the room in the kitchen cupboards are for the guest use. Some if not all the guest forget to bring items such as salt and pepper with them. and you can imagine how much room those items take up. I'm afraid this is our holiday home too and some personal items may get left behind. We leave additional bedding in case they are needed. The comments about the bedding is also un called for. This is not FOUR IN A BED. On another note the caravan was left unclean by these guests. Some people should remember to get rid of the finger/toenails in a proper manner. Property Owner

  • "A lovely Owners Caravan set in a good spot away from rental caravans , comfortable and welcoming ,the bath and second shower ,brilliant !"

Lovely view across the bay . The Caravan unfortunately is a long way from the facilities all up hill and gradients . If you have mobility issues this definitely will effect you.Passes for any site use swimming ,or club are not included and have to be purchased .The Caravan although lovely is packed out with the owners personal items ,no cloths but every cupboard has personal items , bathrooms as well . Its if though they grabbed their cloths and left ! We were disappointed to find no welcome pack , no information what so ever on the Caravan or tv or electrical etc , no info on facilities or local attractions shops Supermarkets etc . I sent the owners emails to ask questions on the info , it never arrived , we finally recieved one page of general info and post covid, Parking is up hill so make sure you have a good handbrake , there is in all honesty parking for one car and perhaps a tiny fiat . So all in all that's it, This is our honest opinion only with those points raised, hope the owners will take action on these little points, its still a lovely Caravan , and we appreciate the cost involved to run it . Try it you might love it ! This is our 25th Holiday with Sykes in 5 years , i do not leave negative feedback lightly.
