Added bonus of a dishwasher that was not mentioned on the property details, the kitchen was well equipped. Much appreciated welcome pack and the owners were very helpful giving us details where to visit and where to buy our fish and chips.

Yes it's small, but it did the job perfectly. It was so quiet at nighttime, we slept extremely well. The host was so friendly and helpful, and there were a few welcoming surprises to greet us. Can highly recommend!

  • "Very nice property."

Had a nice relaxing stay. All the property literature needs updating as it all relates to COVID regulations so seems irrelevant and confusing. The shower enclosure on the bath could do with updating as it leaks whatever remedial measures are put in place. Only other observation is that it would be good to have an earlier check out time published on the Sykes website. John was very accommodating in letting us stay a little later but the Sykes website said 9am checkout with no provision to ask for it any later. Other than that - all good would defo recommend if you like hiking, beaches and being able to walk to the pub.

  • "A lovely, cosy and comfortable cottage in a beautiful and peaceful location."

There are excellent views and we experienced some wonderful sunsets. A lot of attention to detail has been placed in the choice of fixtures and fittings which were all of good quality. The owners were very helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The welcome pack of wine, welsh cakes, milk etc. was much appreciated. We were able to walk from the cottage every day and do several circular walks or linear walks using the T5 bus service.

  • "I had a lovely time in this home from home over Christmas, with a warm welcome from Sue, and decorations inside and out."

The wine and cakes were much appreciated. The cottage is ideally placed for walking along the coastal path and the Preseli hills, whilst being very close to Newport with its pubs, shops and great beaches. I shall miss the sea view from the bedroom in the mornings. The garden was enclosed for Molly (the dog), but ensure gates are properly closed because of sheep wandering along the road. Highly recommended.

Dear Sue Thank you so much for your lovely review. You are the first guest we have had at Christmas! I do hope you'll return at either Christmas next year or at another time during the year. Spring is gorgeous here. I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed the holiday. Sorry to miss you before you left. Very best wishes the Davies familyor at another time in the year. Property Owner

  • "Lovely peaceful cottage in rural position."

Not overlooked, with country and sea views. Good walks from the cottage for active individuals. It was nice to have designated car parking as this is a "working" farming area with some heavy farm machinery movement during the day on the roads.

  • "This is a lovely cottage for 2."

The only reason I have not given 5 stars is the difficulty with wet weather. The hallway would benefit from a hard wipeable floor instead of a cream carpet and the bathroom needs a heated towel rail to help with drying damp clothes. Otherwise it is comfortable and very good value.

  • "The description is somewhat misleading as the property is not detached but joined to the owners house."

The lack of control of the heating was strange ( the owner controlled it). Also the wifi is no existent phone signal poor too something to bear in mind if you are dependent on your devices! Having said all that we did enjoy our stay despite the bad weather!

Very pleased you enjoyed your stay in spite of bad weather. I'm sorry you felt the description of the property was misleading. The holiday cottage company is rectifying for us. Blaenpant Bach is fully separate from the adjoining house with its own entrance, parking space and small garden. The heating is not separate but we are more than happy to regulate this to visitors' needs as and when required. Thanks for your constructive feedback. Property Owner

We were so relaxed and felt away from it all in this peaceful environment. It is walking distance to Newport Centre with pubs and cafes. So close to the coastal path and some fantastic walking routes. Walks around Parrog beach also a highlight. Enjoyed a couple of days out to Barafundle Bay and Tenby - Pembrokeshire is truly beautiful. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and had the everything we needed. The complimentary tea, coffee and welsh cakes were much appreciated! The cottage is in a great location, walking distance to Newport where there are quality pubs and restaurants. Highlights were dinner and cocktails at Llys Meddyg and dinner at the Golden Lion. Brilliant for walkers as there is easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and good inland walks over the hills. Fabulous holiday!

The fridge freezer in the kitchen was small and very difficult to access.

Thank you for your feedback. The owner is sorry for any disappointment you may have felt. The garden is sufficiently large enough for a table and two chairs and guests can also relax in the cottage’s very comfortable sitting room. The area housing the fridge/freezer will be reconfigured in the near future, making access easier. Property Owner
