  • "Perfect little home for the week."

Cottage was ideal, lovely, clean & comfortable with everything we needed for our holiday. Garden was perfect oi sit in & it was so useful having 2 parking spaces, a real bonus. End Cottage is ideally situated for a short walk into the centre of Newport for a good selection of places to eat & so convenient to explore the many beaches in the surrounding area and to walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, enjoying stunning views, whether it be just half a mile or a much longer walk. The hosts were very helpful & friendly. Thank you!

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased that you had a nice time and enjoyed staying in our cottage. Thank you for taking time to write a review, we very much appreciate it. Property Owner

I don’t understand this low score. We have been talking to the guests every day and they were very happy with every single aspect. Perhaps they have made a mistake? We had a lovely comment in our guest book and they assured us they would be back as they liked it so much! Property Owner

  • "This stone built cottage was delightful to stay in."

It was tastefully and comfortably furnished and uncluttered, also very well equipped. The underfloor heating was impressive and there was an endless supply of hot water. The small enclosed garden was safe for our black Labrador to be out in on her own. Situated in easy walking distance to numerous places to eat. Taking everything into account, a real gem.

Thank you! We really appreciate your feedback! We would love to welcome you again if you decided to visit Pembrokeshire again! Property Owner

The cottage is very comfy and felt quite spacious. It was very clean and perfectly located to access all the shops, pubs and restaurants in Newport and also the beach. And Newport is perfectly located to explore the west of Pembrokeshire with spectacular cliff walks and brilliant food. The Secret Garden at the Llys Meddyg Hotel in Newport is a very special place for a drink and a superb meal.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay in our cottage and had a chance to relax and explore our beautiful county. Property Owner

  • "Perfect gem!"

Wonderful location - short stroll down to the Parrog and the most beautiful estuary/beach walks. Secure garden and plenty of garden furniture, cushions, brolley and washing line. Good parking off road. Well equipped delightful cottage - simple and spotlessly clean. Excellent powerful shower and fab bath after swimming! Extremely comfortable bed and views reaching miles across the estuary from the upstairs windows. Walking and listening to the lambs baaing and the fabulous array of bird life was a tonic. There is traffic noise, but it didn't bother me - the location, comfort and facilities more than made up for it. Great location, great cottage! Highly recommend.

It was very child friendly was safety gates, a cot, high chair and even some toys. For a small property we found the cottage actually quite spacious. The facilities were all good quality and in good working order. The location was fantastic for exploring the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Couldn’t be happier with our choice. Thank you!

  • "Lovely property."

The only drawback is proximity of the main road. With the recent heat, the windows needed to be open at night and the traffic starts early. Otherwise faultless cottage in a nice little town in a beautiful area.

Thank you for your feedback. We are really pleased that you liked our cottage. Unfortunately the recent 2 days of heat were unprecedented which took everyone by surprise especially in our neck of the woods as it is always cooler around the coast! The cottage has doubled glazing and the back windows open onto the beautiful view of the Newport bay. Property Owner

A lovely characterful cottage. Ideal location for exploring Pembrokeshire, close enough to the amazing hidden beaches and to the coastal path. Weather was glorious. Situated on a busy road so may not be to everyone's taste but location was ok for us. Lovely pubs close by.

Thank you very much for your your feedback. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay in our cottage. We note that you gave us 4/5 for facilities. Is there anything you think we could add to improve this? Property Owner

  • "Overall ours was a comfortable stay but with reservations."

Traffic noise from the very close main coast road from very early morning to late at night particularly affected our sleep. We didn't realise the accomodation would be quite so close to the road! Secondly - and to be fair this is highlighted within the cottage description - the stairs are very short - steep - narrow and winding - one truly has to 'climb the stairs'!!

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that a traffic affected your sleep. We have double glazing and Newport Pembrokeshire is particularly busy at this time of the year! Our quieter season is at the end of September and beginning of March. As to the stairs our Middle cottage has a wider and easier staircase. We do hope that you enjoyed beautiful Pembrokeshire nonetheless. Property Owner

The cottage was ideally situated in Newport town, a short walk to the beach and coastal path and a short drive to many of the coastal towns. The cottage was very tastefully decorated, comfortable and well equipped - a separate freezer a bonus! The under floor heating made for a cosy stay, particularly loved by our lab and the enclosed garden enabled us to let him out safely. The hosts were welcoming yet discreet. We highly recommend End Cottage and will definitely return as there is still so much to explore in the area.

  • "There is misleading information on your website regarding the location which is on a busy main road with no pavement on a narrow stretch immediately outside the property."

If we had known this, we would not have booked this property.

Thank you for your feedback. There is a lane parallel to the road which you can take to town to avoid the narrow stretch. Also the pavement to town starts next door to our property so it is not difficult to avoid the small stretch without the pavement. We hope you had a lovely holiday despite this.. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was spotless, comfortable, and really well equipped."

It was also lovely and warm with underfloor heating downstairs. The little garden had great outdoor furniture and was perfectly adequate - nice suntrap in the evening. Plenty of parking. The location in relation to the town and beach was great. The only issue we had was the fact that the location pin on the Skyes website map shows the cottage as being well set back from the main road, this influenced our decision to book in the first place - it's not until you have completed the booking that you get the postcode that shows it to be adjacent to the main road - perhaps Sykes can correct the pin location so that others can make a better informed decision.

  • "Had a wonderful stay at End Cottage."

The cottage was spotless and very well-equipped. It was very cosy and warm, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great! It is in a great location with easy walks to the beach at Parrog, but only a short drive to the wonderful Newport Sands beach, which our puppy loved! Also 3 good pubs within walking distance (The Golden Lion was our favourite). The only downside for us, its it's on a noisy main road, and being used to living in a very quiet village this was a bit of a shock to our system, however it didn't spoil our stay and would happy recommend End Cottage.

  • "The only improvement would be the bathroom radiator and bedroom radiator were off and we couldn’t see how to turn them on."

The bathroom one in particular would have made a big difference to the comfort of the cottage as it was very cold to shower, bath or wash. Otherwise everything else was lovely.

We were glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at End Cottage but sorry to hear you had an issue with the heating while there. It is a shame you didn’t give us a call at the time, as there are full instructions in the house for the heating, which we could have directed you to. We hope we can welcome you back to End Cottage again in the future. Property Owner
