  • "Fabulous, well-equipped, cosy and clean cottage."

Ideal location in the centre of Newport, close to shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Morawel Fach provided an excellent base for starting to walk the Pembrokeshire Way. It was so comfortable and lovely to return to after a hard day walking and the log burner was the icing on the cake. Would love to return again. The whole area is stunning.

Good furnishings, comfy chairs and bed. Gardens absolutely gorgeous! Love to stay again, a little treat for me- friends camping at Mora Welan for the summer .

Perfect location for beach and shops. We stayed in July and parking wasn't a problem on the road. Altogether an excellent property!

  • "Overall, excellent in every category."

Feedback: H&S: On our first night in Morawel Fach I stumbled down the step from the kitchen to the living area, banging my elbow on the wall as I put my arm out to stop myself from falling! My husband says there was a warning sign, but I hadn't noticed it! I'd suggest perhaps making the sign a bit more prominent to remind guests about the step. A small point: I found the smell of the scented plug-in 'air-freshener' overpowering and removed it while we were there but plugged it back in when we left the cottage.

  • "Beautiful clean, cosy, quirk cottage in a great position for village and coastal path."

Only downside was the roadside parking, double yellow lines outside and very limited spaces available further down the road. Garden was a nice surprise and caught the evening sun. Minimal crockery and cutlery but adequate for a simple meal, Bedding and towels good quality. Absolutely beautiful surrounding area.

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Two lovely shower rooms. Great reclining chairs and log fire. Lovely outdoor spaces to use if weather is clement. Would love to spend time tending to it and enjoying it. A great location to explore the area.

  • "This was our 2nd visit to Morawel Fach, we love it here."

As soon as you walk through the door you feel at home. The Christmas decorations were an added bonus, very tasteful too. The cottage is very well equipped, has everything you need and lovely and warm and clean. Due to family illness we had to curtail our visit but will be back in March. Rhiannon and Derick the owners are very friendly and helpful.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Morawel Fach despite everything the British weather threw at us."

We managed to get out for some great walks and the cottage was a great home to come back to each day. Unbelievably clean and well-appointed - we were very impressed. Newport itself had everything you needed, except a phone signal - but hey, who needs one of those? It was our first trip to Pembrokeshire but it certainly won't be our last.

  • "What a find!"

We had a very relaxing week in this wonderful cottage. Perfect position on the Parrog road for walking into town and down to the Parrog. Morawel Fach is extremely well furnished and decorated. Has everything you could possibly need and more. Loved having 2 shower rooms, 1 each. The view from the bedroom towards the sea is beautiful and the patio out front and garden at the back are an added bonus. Couldn’t fault a thing. We met Rhiannon and David the owners. Lovely hosts and really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

Facilities in the house were 1st class. Only minor gripe would be that property could use some additional towels in each bathroom and also a slight bit of additional cutlery (knives, forks, spoons etc)

Our second visit to Morawel Fach. Accommodation perfect for our kind of holiday the garden area is a plus especially with the wonderful weather we had. Newport is just right with plenty of places to choose from for dining out. Lots of lovely local walks and places nearby to visit. Hope to visit again and would have no hesitation in booking here again.

There are helpful notes and advice and it is clearly well managed and looked after. Lovely! 'Though, if we were to make one comment it would be about the instructions for refuse disposal, in that I believe there is too much information which easily leads to confusion. May I suggest that it be simplified to include the owner's handwritten notes, and perhaps if the two useful bins in the kitchen be labelled.

We managed to park further down towards the Parrog without any issues but maybe during peak holiday season it may be more challenging to find a spot. We know the recycling can be difficult to understand but would point out that is Pembrokeshire Council rules and not the owners! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend this property for a couple. Only thing we would change is to allow one well behaved pet for regular clients who can be trusted to respect the property but apart from that, amazing place thank you for letting us stay there.

It is close to both the town and Parrog beach . Although there isn’t allocated parking this wasn’t a problem. It is spotlessly clean and has everything that you could possibly need. The owner certainly complies to Covid cleaning . There is a back garden with a table and chairs which I’d not realised and also a small seating area to the front of the house , so you can sit in sun at either end of the day . Can’t fault this lovely cottage at all . A very comfortable place to stay , which is obviously very loved . We’d certainly go back again .

  • "The cottage was absolutely beautiful and every need had been catered for."

It was also very well positioned for visiting other places and accessing the coastal path, as well restaurants and pubs. However, while we tried to respect the property as well as we could and observe the rules, we did feel uneasy at the constant reminders of what to do with rubbish etc... . The instructions were unclear, apart from the recyclable items. The dishwasher was not easy to operate, and after reading the guestbook, we were afraid to use the towels and linen. We appreciate that this was the home of someone else, and would always try to leave a property as close to how we found it, but we were a little nervous upon departing. That said, we had a lovely few days and Rhiannon and Derek have a beautiful cottage. We are very grateful to them for allowing us to rent it.
