  • "Lovely comfortable property in good location."

Beautiful small town. Nice views of the sea over rooftops. It had everything we needed for our New Year stay. Very comfortable beds. Some areas to be noted, open planned kitchen / diner / sitting room - 1 sofa, 2 uncomfortable rocking ikea style chairs and 2 uncomfortable rattan outdoor style chairs. No TV in this communal area which was needed on dark wet evenings. TV upstairs with no Freeview connection - iPlayer / itv hub etc available. House was clean but not “spotless”. Just to point out…Dust in vents in showers (we used Dyson to clean). Skirting boards dirty throughout house. Tops of pictures very dusty. Baths dirty film on it had to clean before use. Kitchen oven very dirty really needs a clean. Underside of kitchen cupboards dirty. Microwave in garage very dirty. Bin in kitchen rusty and mould inside. Broken lampshade in kitchen. Some glasses / plates chipped. Windows in kitchen need a clean. These are just some points to note. It also has some lovely touches. Decor lovely. Access via garage with dog great idea. Garden a bit sodden due to weather so avoided with dog as much as possible. Nice walk to the local beach. Local pubs brilliant. We loved it.

  • "It would be impossible to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at Treetops."

We were three generations of family holidaying together and everyone agreed that Treetops was the best of any house that we have visited. The house itself is beautifully decorated, the bedlinen and towels top quality. I always take a pack of items that I like to use but may not be provided - sharp knives, big pasta pan, salt and pepper etc. No need - everything was there. The location was marvellous - walking distance to the beach and a very short walk to shops, several cafe’s and restaurants. The grandchildren went out trick or treating and the people of Newport were lovely and welcoming. Just cannot fault Treetops. Loved it, and actually felt really sad to leave.

What a wonderful review. Thank you so much. I think you’ve said all the things we, the owners, would have said. So pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "5* We can’t fault Tree tops!"

We had a wonderful week staying in Newport. We were a large family group and the house was just perfect. It is beautifully presented throughout, has loads of space, plenty of good bathrooms, very comfortable beds and the kitchen has everything you could need. It was brilliant to have both the upstairs lounge for the children and the space for the adults to relax downstairs. It’s also such an advantage in Newport to have so many car parking spaces. We absolutely loved how easy it is to walk from the house into Newport, with all its shops and restaurants. It’s also a great location for heading down to the beach and boat club or for a beautiful walk along the coastal path. Thank you for a wonderful stay-we’ve already booked for a week next year!

Thank you for such lovely feedback. Delighted to hear you’ll be back in Tree Tops next year! Property Owner

Your home-from-home is just a brief walk into the heart of the town where you can enjoy coffee or brunch at Tides Kitchen and Wine Bar, Pwnc café or at Blas at Fronlas, before spending the day at Newport Sands.

Alternatively, take a leisurely walk in the sea air along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with its breathtaking views across the north Pembrokeshire coastline.

For the adventurous hikers in the group, head up to Carningli and into the mythical Preseli Hills, for a stunning view of the Cardigan Bay coastline. Take a short drive out of the town where the history buffs of the group will enjoy a visit to the reconstructed Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and the picture postcard 5,500-year-old Neolithic Burial Chamber at Pentre Ifan.

Head further north to the market town of Cardigan where you can visit Cardigan Castle - the birthplace of the Welsh Eisteddfod in 1176.

Alternatively, wildlife lovers can enjoy all that nature has to offer at the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran and take to the open water on a boat for a chance to spot the resident dolphins that reside in Cardigan Bay. At the end of your day, head back to Newport where a delicious meal awaits in the Castle Inn, the Golden Lion or one of Newport's many excellent eateries.

Newport and the surrounding area is rich in arts and cultural activities.

Newport itself has several galleries, showing the work of local artists and craftspeople.
