  • "Crown Cottage is a beautiful property, extremely clean and very comfortable."

We had a lovely weeks stay, the cottage has everything you need. A welcome pack was there when we arrived of wine, Welsh cakes, milk, tea and coffee. The beds are very comfortable. We couldn't recommend Crown Cottage enough, we definitely want to return. It wasn't just the cottage but the village and surrounding areas that all made our stay an enjoyable one.

Grouting in on suite needs refreshing. These are the only isses that need looking at. Apart from that the c ottage was very comfortable and would recommend it.

  • "The cottage was fantastic, very spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished."

Loved the welcome gifts, thank you. Bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. Thanks for the games we enjoyed playing them. Location was amazing, walk to the beach just wonderful. Just a couple of things that could be improved (but didn't in any way ruin our holiday), could you consider putting hooks on the back of the bedroom and bathroom doors, just easier to hang towels rather than bunched up on the radiator. The outdoor space was a lacking a bit of attention, flooring very green and discoloured, bins on show not very appealing, very plain and just not a very inviting space to sit in considering it is the only outdoor space. Maybe some easy to care for pots with plants or even something trailing along the fence, lights maybe? Also the front of the cottage was a little bit uncared for, weeds everywhere, brown marks on the paint, again maybe a couple of pots with plants? Thank you for a great stay at a wonderful location, would definitely recommend.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the suggestions! We already have some wall art for outside and think the idea of fairy lights is brilliant so will look into it. It has been a long and busy season and being by the sea moist air does mean the paving goes green quite quickly and the weeds grow. As soon as we have the chance we will be down to carry out routine maintenance to make sure it is all in tip top order. We hope to welcome you back so you can see the improvements. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely week here over Easter and very lucky with the weather."

Crown Cottage is in the middle of Penally village but a short drive from many of the family attractions. The Crown pub is across the road and serves generous portions with a children's menu too. 3 minutes down the road you will find Bubbleton Farm Shop and cafe. Well worth a visit. We had a lovely breakfast there, again generous portions. There's also hens, pigs and sheep that the little ones can feed. Also in the village by the Paddick Inn is a lovely bakery for fresh rolls, bread and cakes. For a cloudy day, try the Leisure Centre, again just down the road. Family swimming and in the sports hall, 6 bouncy castles, a joy for our 4 year old. 10 minutes up the road is Tenby, lovely beach and shops and Saundersfoot also worth a visit. Pembroke Castle is also a good trip. Crown Cottage is a lovely 3 bedroomed cottage, as described. Clean, nicely furnished, good beds, nice bathrooms, good family size kitchen. There is only a small patio area which gets the sun for awhile in the morning and you can see the sea. A pleasant walk from the cottage over the golf course to Penally Beach. There are no facilities here, but a nice place to walk to. Parking outside is a bonus. A very nice place to stay.

  • "We had a superb stay at Crown Cottage, the property is much bigger than it looks on the photos, was spotlessly clean and every room smelt lovely."

The cottage has great facilities, a very well equipped kitchen (2 fridges!), very comfortable lounge, and 3 great sized bedrooms, we were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the single room. Both bathrooms are great, and the ground floor cloakroom a bonus. The parking space at the side of the house was plenty big enough for my large SUV, we only had one car so didn’t need the second space. We were treated like locals in the pub opposite, took full advantage of the fantastic public transport links, and enjoyed a walk on the beach every day of our stay. Most days we strolled along the beach to Tenby to take advantage of the cafes and restaurants. It is the perfect property for a stay on this stretch of the Pembrokeshire coast. We will definitely recommend to others and hope to go back again.

We are glad that you were able to resolve the issue yourselves. We are only sorry that you did not let us know at the time so that we could have helped. • "Overall a cosy cottage."

Location good and easy to walk to beach and Tenby. Gifts were a nice gesture (wine and packet of Welsh cakes). In need of cleaning where a lot of mould was in the shower area of the main bedroom ensuit. Didn't use the bath or shower over bath. Not enough toilet paper, brought few of own. Bedrooms are tight fit but cosy looking. Decor nice. Bed, sheets, towels etc clean and comfy. Taps upstairs particularly bathroom took ages to get hot water. Cooker was slow to warm up and possibly not so good with reliability of temperature reached, temperature light was unreliable. Some cooking utilities dirty (trays) and worn in cupboard. Door on washing m/c was hanging off when opened but didn't need to use it. Weird smell in kitchen area. Parking wasn't great. Space was allocated on a pavement at side of property for 1 small car, different and deceptive to write up on booking site and annoying when a car parked in front of the cottage on the road literally on top of the cottage no space between road and cottage bounder. People looked in when walking passed the cottage.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you left a note in the Visitor book to say that you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back. We appreciate your comments on things that weren’t quiet as you hoped. We have checked everything and, in particular have tweaked the water temperature to ensure it is toasty in the main bathroom. We have ordered a new door hinge for the integrated washing machine, so that is in hand too. There is a designated parking space in the car park as well as the side of the house and 2 visitor spots so parking should not be a problem. Property Owner

The property

Set right in the heart of the picturesque village of Penally, nearby the seaside resort of Tenby, is this wonderful semi-detached cottage, Crown Cottage.

Crown cottage has the appearance of a Victorian village house, having been carefully rebuilt to reflect the Crown Inn which once stood on the site.

In the heart of the picturesque conservation area of Penally, the cottage has all the character and charm of a much older property, whilst having all the benefits of a recently constructed home-from-home.

Crown Cottage is a reputable property with care and attention having been taken to upgrade and improve facilities throughout.

Outside there are two designated parking spaces to the side and rear of the property and space for an additional vehicle immediately outside.

Inside you’ll find homely and stylish furnishings throughout; the kitchen has a generous dining table which opens out onto an enclosed garden with sea views over Tenby golf course towards Caldey Island.

Perfect for alfresco dining on a summer’s evening after a day spent on the beach or exploring all that Pembrokeshire has to offer.

The outside tap is ideal for washing off sandy buckets and spades!

There is a downstairs cloakroom just off the hallway to quickly freshen up before heading out the door.

The welcoming sitting room is also accessible from the hallway with a Smart TV and DVD player for your entertainment.

Stairs lead from the sitting room up to the welcoming bedrooms above, comprising a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a standard double with a Smart TV, and a single bedroom, all of which share the family bathroom with shower over bath for guests to get ready in style.

The property is just a short stroll away from the Pembrokeshire coastal path and Tenby’s glorious south beach.

The Village itself has two public houses and frequent bus and train services for you to explore the coastal path and more of Pembrokeshire, whilst your car is safely stowed away in the designated parking places.

Venture to the nearby seaside town of Tenby with an array of quirky shops and narrow streets lined with tea rooms, cafés, restaurants, pubs, alongside three spectacular sandy beaches.

Golfing enthusiasts will benefit from two courses close to Crown Cottage, whilst historians will relish boat trips to the peaceful haven of Caldey Island with its magnificent monastery where the Monks make the most delicious chocolate.

A delightful holiday home whatever the season.
