"The property is well-placed for the beach and shops but in a quiet area of the site."
The van is super-comfortable, immaculate and thoughtfully stocked for our every need. We didn't have a phone signal at the site but the camp internet was fine for WhatsApp, email and browsing. We were aged 10 to 85 and all found things of interest to do in the area. The beach is fabulous, the village shops convenient, the adventure playground lovely and the Museum of Speed absorbing.

"We have never stayed in such a lovely well equipped and comfy caravan."
We cannot fault it. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and beds were so comfortable. The position of the caravan is superb, right on the end of a road and so quiet. And when the tide is high you can hear the sea off the veranda. I must also say the park is very clean and tidy and well maintained. We will definitely return at some point in the future, we found it a great base for travelling to part's of Pembrokeshire we wanted to visit. Thanks again

"Lovely caravan in a very quiet spot on the park, clean bed with fresh linen although I would suggest pillow protectors as the mattress has a protector."
The caravan would benefit from a pizza cutter & cheese grater. Skirting, shelves, ledges, blinds could do with a dust & underneath the sofa cushions need hoovering badly ! .. Couldn't connect to the internet & no phone signal till we left the park. Would definitely recommend this caravan & if we are in the area again would stay here ! ..

"We had no signals on our phones, we logged on to Parkdean wi-fi but it was next to useless."
Unfortunately due to family circumstances we did need to be in touch and needed access to the internet so it was inconvenient and a little stressful. This in no way reflected on our appreciation of the quality of the accommodation, do not know if anything can be done to improve for future but mentioned as it may be helpful.

"Could not find any fault with the accomadation, you could not ask for anything ..."

"Fantastic caravan in a lovely quiet part of the park, ideal for our family of 4, 2 adults, 2 kids (3 and 7)."
The caravan had everything we needed, was a great layout and was very comfortable. A couple of small things, when we arrived the work surfaces still has the previous occupants crumbs on and shelves were dusty in twin room, not a big deal but given the standard of everything else I’m sure the owners would have been a little disappointed. We would definitely book again though! Be prepared for not having an internet connection on arrival and make sure you have your key collection keys printed/ screenshot saved. You can sign in to the park Wi-Fi though if you do forget. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend.

"Clean modern caravan with all the appliances and equipment most people will need."
Set well back from the road so away from the hubbub although the area isn't rammed like some others are. The single beds are really only suitable for children so a small family will love it. I left a VERY important note which I hope the owners will have been made aware of.

"At first sight an excellent van but once you started to live in if a couple of issues arose."
1. The cleaners are loosing down the owners. Firstly when I came to use the chopping boards thd large wooden one had mould on the back edge. 2. The window blinds had not been cleaned and were dusty. The same was found to the 2 towel radiators in the shower rooms. 3. I went to put my books on the shelf above the main bed and it was covered In dust. 4. We washed some clothes, excellent washer. When i came to iron them there was an ironing board but no iron. So had to buy a cheap steam iron. The van is in an excellent spot, very quiet. Also very close to the beach.

The property
Perfectly placed in the delightful seaside location of Pendine, Carmarthenshire is this thoughtfully-decorated single-storey lodge, Balmoral.
Boasting all ground-floor accommodation, an enclosed decking with furniture and close access to the local amenities and beach, Balmoral welcomes four guests to savour the ultimate escape to West Wales.
After unloading in the off-road parking space, ascend to the entrance of your new home-from-home to be impressed by a well-equipped kitchen, hosting all the necessary appliances required to ease your self-catered stay; allow the designated chef of the group to rustle up a feast to be enjoyed altogether around the dining table as the wine is poured.
If you prefer to soak in your surroundings a little longer, venture out onto your enclosed decking area to relish an alfresco affair, reflecting on your favourite memories so far before planning your itinerary.
When the sky darkens, retire to an inviting sitting area and curl up in front of the gas fire ready to indulge a movie night on the Smart TV.
Wash away the day in a spacious shower room before retreating to a neatly-presented twin bedroom or opt for a king-size bedroom with its very own dressing room and en-suite shower room, so you can get ready for the day in style.
Begin your morning with a stroll to the coast where you can soak in the cliff top views, sink your toes into the sand and bask in the incredible Land Speed history that is synonymous with Pendine Sands.
Travel to lovely Laugharne and envelop yourself in the history of Dylan Thomas with a visit to his former home, now museum to his life and his famour writing shed which both overlook the estuary.
Or head west on foot along the Welsh Coast Path or by car into neighbouring Pembrokeshire and enjoy more seaside moments at Amroth, Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot and of course, Tenby, all before refuelling at one of several coastal restaurants, pubs or cafés.
Well-positioned to also spend the day traversing the Brecon Beacons or Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks, each offering an abundance of walking, hiking and cycling trails, Balmoral is the perfect base to begin your Welsh adventure.
Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £75.
About the location
PENDINE
Tenby 15 miles.
A delightful seaside village with a seven mile stretch of sandy beach, famous in its history for car racing and speed record attempts. The fateful car ‘Babs’, the driver of which was killed in one of the many speed record attempts, was buried in the sands for many years, but has now been dug up, restored and is often in the local museum for all to admire. Even the famous Amy Johnson used these perfect flat sands to take off on one of her many record flights. Steeped in history, these sands are perfect all year round, whether sunbathing, swimming and kite flying. With local pubs and restaurants serving good food, a café, a grocery shop and gift shops, Pendine is the perfect seaside village. Pendine is also home to the recently built Land of Speeds MUseum, which can be found on Pendine Promenade; the land speed record was actually broken on Pendine's beach, too! Nearby, the attractions range from Dylan Thomas' famous boathouse, where he penned so many of his literary masterpieces, castles, more sandy beaches, hidden coves and the vibrant seaside resort of Tenby, with Caldey Island and the majestic monastery a short boat trip away. A stunning location for exploring this beautiful part of Wales.
