Walking distance to the train and bus stations, weekly parking available at the train station too. The cottage was quiet, comfortable and ideal place to explore the area. Plenty of hot water and heating and good cooking facilities.

The central location is excellent and very close to everything. It is near to the bus and train stations makes it easier to travel to local attractions and other locations in the area.

  • "I enjoyed a wonderful week at Llys-yr-Onnen."

It is situated very close to the centre of Carmarthen yet on a remarkably quiet street. A walk of two minutes brings you into Guildhall Square. The town has a good range of shopping, restaurants, pubs and bars, all close by. The property is very nicely furnished and equipped, and was beautifully clean and tidy. The car park at Carmarthen railway station is just a five minute walk away across the pedestrian bridge over the River Towy. I paid online in advance for a seven day ticket (19 at time of writing) and it all seemed safe enough. Visitors with cars will need to do something like that as there is no parking on Quay Street or anywhere very close. There were no problems with the car park, anyway. I'd really like to stay here again one day.

Thank you Chris for your positive feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thank you also for your appreciation of the level of clenliness of Llysyronnen. I can tell you the cleaners were thrilled. We genuinely look forward to seeing you in the not too distant future... Kind regards Steve and Diane. (props.) Property Owner

  • "The cottage was excellent on every level."

It was very clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glasses, knives etc. Heating worked efficiently, I was nice and cosy. The shower pressure was excellent, with plenty of hot water. Location in town was superb, walking distance to various supermarkets, restaurants and of course pubs! Being on my own, I felt very safe and secure. Will definitely book again next year.

  • "The cottage was charming and in an excellent location, 2mins walk to the very centre of town, but tucked away in a quiet almost traffic-free road."

When I had a query, the owner responded quickly. During my extended stay, I found the lady 'Maria' who maintained the property for the owner, to be a huge asset, friendly, positive, nothing too much trouble ...despite obviously being very busy. Sweet cottage, great location.

  • "The cottage was very well kept and was absolutely perfect for everything we needed."

We were walking the Carmarthenshire section of the Wales Coast Path and transport accessibility could not have been better: just a couple of minutes walk from the bus station, and 5 minutes from the train station. Various supermarkets also within a 5 minute walk, including Lidl and Marks and Spencer. Also a very nice café with awesome cocktails, Cofio, just around the corner in the square! The kitchen was very well equipped for everything you need for cooking, and the bed was very comfortable and spacious bedroom. Very nice living room space with a comfortable sofa and massive tv screen. Very quiet location, although there is a pub half a minute up the road and the noise can be heard in the living room, you can't hear absolutely anything from the bedroom! Thank you so much for a perfect stay, and also the little touches which were very much appreciated- the milk, wine and cherry cake

A good place for us to stay when visiting family in Carmarthen. Parking not a problem as the station car park is only a short walk away. You can pay the parking on your phone so you don't have to go back to the car to top up.

It was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with nice touches from the owners, like a welcome bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. Don’t be put off by lack of parking. You can park at the station, five minutes’ walk away over the bridge, for £16 a week.
