Ian and Carol were excellent hosts and very welcoming.
-
"A lovely rural location, offering peace and relaxation."
The property offered all amenities and comfort needed for a lovely break away.
-
"An idyllic cottage nestled in the hills, it is central to the whole of Pembroke and all things are within an easy drive if, like our selves you are not a walker."
The owners, Carrol and Ian live on site and are within easy reach should they be needed like a working can opener, ( smile) Thank you for a wonderful stay
-
"Our hosts, Ian and Carol, provided comprehensive directions and maps in a welcome letter with key collection info to assist our arrival."
The cottage is spacious, comfortable, airy, clean and well organised and had everything we needed. On arrival, Ian assisted with moving our bags into the cottage (Thank You) and provided lots of information and suggestions for activities during our stay. The location is great for access to the North Pembrokeshire coast and Preselli Hills. We even had a day trip to the Gwili Steam Railway (Carmarthen) and Pendine Sands. We had a relaxing and very enjoyable week in Foxglove Cottage. Thank You.

-
"We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage over this Easter Break in 2024."
The beds in the cottage were really comfortable and we have all the facilities we need for our stay. The scenery around the cottage was beautiful and the owners were especially helpful in suggesting the local iconic places for viewing and visiting.

"Fabulous property with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay."
Close to many wonderful places of interest (but not too close) and great for enthusiastic walkers and those who like a more leisurely holiday. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Foxglove Cottage.
-
"The map room has leaflets and maps in it which were very useful."
Ian helped us unload which was greatly appreciated due to my health issues which affect my muscles. Really quiet location and no light pollution, wonderful. Heard the cuckoo

It was warm, clean and comfortable. It was adequately furnished. The owner Ian was there to meet us and was very helpful with information with the property and the surrounding area.

"We had a wonderful stay."
Lovely location with views, farm animals and wildlife and very spacious accommodation. Walks on the doorstep. Friendly welcome. Lots to do and see in North Pembrokeshire. We would definitely stay there again. We felt very at home.

"Beautiful cottage!"
Warm and cosy and in the middle of the most beautiful countryside. Nothing too much trouble for Carol and Ian. Will definitely recommend to walking friends and anyone who loves peace and quiet . One day we will return .
-
"A very comfortable cottage, situated in a very quiet and beautiful rural area."
The hosts are really helpful and friendly. BUT I will not be booking a holiday through Sykes again as I can’t trust your company after our bad experience at Kerensa ha-Kres.
-
"Ian and Carol were perfect hosts and made us feel extremely welcome."
Their knowledge of the area was superb and we would certainly visit again.
-
"West Pembrokshire is a beautiful area."
We had forgotten how narrow the lanes are, but fortunately we only met 2 (very large) tractors! The cottage was adequate and I guess it was the Covid-19 restrictions which meant there were no scatter cushions, pictures on the walls, or games and books to read. Also, no garden furniture, which was a shame as the weather was perfect for sitting outside on the lawned area. But our host was able to lend us an Ordnance Survey map of the area, which was invaluable.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your stay, we have had to remove some items from the property due to covid regulations, this is explained to guests in our pre-arrival welcome letter, and also notated in the property, this is to ensure the safety of our guests. As explained on arrival the garden furniture is located in the map room. We are on hand during your stay incase of any questions or concerns and would have been happy to advise and help out if needed. Property Owner
-
"Beautiful, peaceful rural location in the Preseli Hills."
The cottage has a generous double room and twin room, both with their own bathroom. Very comfortable, well equipped cottage. Beautiful walks from the cottage. The hosts also provide tours which we would highly recommend if new to the area.
-
"Carol and Ian, the owners, are very friendly and helpful."
The cottage was warm with abundant hot water and heating and in a lovely part of the country. Sadly we suffered a period of storms and rain all week, so did not do the walking we had planned, but that was not the cottages fault! Maybe we will go back again and have better weather. Robert and Sandra Hird.

"This is a very comfortable cottage in a quiet location."
The cottages have been recently renovated with care and attention to detail and have been designed to maximise privacy. The abundant heating and hot water is supported by excellent insulation and creates a cosy atmosphere. Coupled with this benefit, the bedroom and living room are spacious making it easy to relax when indoors. The fixtures and fittings were practical and of good quality, selected to cater to every need - with touches of elegance in the bed linens and curtains. We were surprised to find a direct route to Newport on the coast and our walking holiday became primarily focused on the coastal paths. The Preseli Hills are also on the doorstep. Ian and Carol were very friendly and helpful hosts offering lots of information about the local places of interest and the history of the area. They were readily available yet totally respected our privacy. For us, this was probably the best holiday rental out of many over a good number of years.

"Lovely Well appointed cottage in great location."
All Covid19 precautions in place but not intrusive. As I am 80 and have a troublesome cough (not covid) we prefer separate bedrooms with en suite, so Foxglove was perfect. Nice sitting / dining room. As there were only two of us we didn't bother with the dishwasher and had enough clothes not to need the Washer dryer. Useful fridge freezer, hob and oven. Excellent Free Wifi and TV. Local mobile phone signals are poor, but skype messenger or whatsapp got round that. An enjoyable 6 Km walk to the Dyffryn Arms for a real Ale. Nearest waterfall 200 metres away. Surrounded by woods, and the Presseli Hills for local walking. 5 or 6 miles by car to shops in Newport. Easy trips to the ancient cathedral city of St Davids and the county town of Cardigan (Ceredigion) with its medieval castle and river Teifi. Newport Beach is about 7 miles and well worth a visit, or lunch at the Golf Club. Owners Carol and Ian Pattison were great hosts. Lived nearby, but not in your face. Always there if you needed them, and good for helpful advice and assistance. We were there late September with a lot of warm sun, front in the morning, great for sitting out the back with a glass of wine in the evening. Due to livestock in the vicinity dogs are not allowed. We are already planning our next visit. The local rivers have run of Sewin (sea trout) in their season and ticket fishing is said to be available. Also Salmon in the Teifi. Great walking country.

"A well presented accommodation ,all that can be expected during covid"
-
"Fantastic location in the Pembrokeshire countryside yet only 15 minutes drive from the coast at Newport ."
V peaceful . Owners on hand if needed and have excellent local knowledge for places to visit , walks etc , but don’t interfere with your privacy. Spacious property, v comfy bed, cottage v clean & excellent WiFi . Ideal for walking both Preseli Hills and coastal paths. Ticked all the boxes for us ; would thoroughly recommend and we would love to return.

-
"Lovely place for some peace and quiet."
Only let down was they said there would be a hamper and there wasn’t. Excellent host and would definitely stay again.
-
"Lovely hosts who made us feel welcome and also offered advice of places to visit."
Great cottage, actually felt a bit bigger that I expected and well equipped. Great that the bedrooms are opposite sides of the cottage and both have en suites.
-
"Foxgloves was an extremely well presented accommodation and the hosts, Ian and Carol friendly and attentive."
-
"Ian & Carol are great hosts, ready at hand to give information and advice but allowed you your own space and privacy."
Great location, you feel you are in the middle of nowhere with peace and quiet yet only four miles from the bustle of the cafe culture in the town. You even have your own Real Ale Brewery on your doorstep. What more could you ask for. We have had a great week and would love to return soon.
-
"Foxglove Cottage is extremely comfortable with high standard quality fittings."
It was spotlessly clean and very peaceful and quiet. Ian and Carol were lovely welcoming hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful about the area and obviously passionate about their business without out being intrusive. We are definitely returning next year.
-
"A lovely cottage, in a terrific location and with very friendly and helpful owners."
The cottage is well maintained, beautifully clean and well appointed. Our only reservation, and it does sound quite petty, is than in addition to the two bath towels there was only one hand towel between us. We hope to go again at some point and will recommend it to friends.
-
"One of the most comfortable cottages we’ve every stayed in."
Well equipped.
-
"Foxglove Cottage proved to be a great base for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire."
Ian & Carol made us feel especially welcome and provided us with excellent information on local walks and other attractions in the area. The map room and drying facilities on site are an added bonus for keen walkers. We were lucky with fabulous weather for our trip but still feel there is more to explore in the area and will definitely return.
-
"We booked this cottage based on the remote location and excellent price."
It certainly didn’t disappoint and was the most snug, comfy haven for our little family. Thank you Ian and Carole. Excellent to have the washer/dryer, map room and 2 bathrooms with baths!
-
"The owners were very friendly and gave a lot of useful tips."
-
"The owners were very helpful in settling my partner and I in as well as finding out that boats to Skomar Island were running."
-
"This is a lovely cottage, in a very rural setting, a little haven for peace and quiet and communing with nature, near Newport and beautiful beaches and coastline."
Excellent for walkers! The owners are a lovely couple, very obliging and caring, nothing too much trouble, they want you to be comfortable and to enjoy your holiday. Extremely knowledgeable re the area and where to visit.
-
"We had a fabulous family holiday at Foxglove cottage."
It is a very picturesque location and we felt very welcome by the owners. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, it was spotlessly clean and was like a home from home. We will definitely book to stay again and would recommend it to anyone. Many thanks to Ian and Carol for a wonderful holiday.
-
"The track leading to the cottages is quite rough and bumpy in places."
In wet weather conditions this track could prove difficult for cars, without 4 wheel drive, to navigate.
-
"Super cottage; spacious, comfortable, conveniently located for hills and beach."
Owners live next door and are very helpful.
