  • "I really enjoyed my stay."

The cottage had everything I needed. I stayed with my 3 dogs and it was very cosy and comfortable. The nearby beaches, Freshwater East, Barafundle, Coppet Bay, Saundersfoot, Tenby, Manorbier and Wiseman’s bridge were all fabulous! I loved the location of the cottage, set in private grounds. I liked the open plan downstairs space - it heated up quickly. The bed was very comfortable. I would recommend it and would return if back in the area! Thankyou!

We have been booking with Sykes for years but this is by far the worst place we have stayed in, and we will definitely not be returning..

Thank you for your feedback. After a season there are small jobs to sort and they are all been dealt with now. Upon your arrival you were clearly disgruntled that you had no enclosed garden and no freezer for which I apologised even though it’s stated on the website. You were very aggressive on the phone and rude and I did suggest you found somewhere else to stay which but You choose to stay for the full week. Carly Conbeer Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Beekeepers cottage as we have family in the area and used it as a base to see family and go on dog walks to beaches and surrounding."

The cottage was very cool even on the really hot days and had a lovely grass area for the dog just outside. It was extremely quiet as its just outside the town of Pembroke there is no passing traffic. The owners were extremely good about our dog who can be a bit noisy in new places. It's only 10 min drive from an all year round dog friendly beach and is ideal position for exploring out and about. A 5 .in drive to nearest petrol station that sells every. I woukd definitely recommend Sunday Lunch at the Lamphey Hall Hotel, incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. We would definitely stay there again when we are in the area visiting.

  • "Lovely little cottage, and the warm, homemade, Welsh cakes were a very welcoming touch."

The bed was comfortable, as were the sofas, and the kitchen was basic, but adequate. This would have been a 4/5 star review apart from some dirty bowls put back in the rack, and an inadequate supply of glasses. This may sound trivial, but 2 matching wine glasses would be the least I would expect in a holiday property.

  • "Beekeeper's Cottage is one of the best cottages we've stayed in simply because the people who own actually thought about the needs of the people who would be using it, unlike a lot of the yuppie style cottages we find ourselves staying in."

For example it has shelves everywhere to put 'stuff' on with the bathroom being particularly generous. There are plug socket outlets everywhere so we didn't need to use our obligatory extension lead! The heating was SO simple that we didn't need to go on a heating course to fathom it out, you simply turned the stat up for 'on' and turned it down for 'off'! The cottage was spotless and very comfortable, a real home from home set in beautiful countryside and within easy reach of all the touristy places including our smallest city St David's, and loads of theme parks on the road to Tenby specifically for the kids.

Thank you for staying with us it was a pleasure to have you stay with us. Property Owner

  • "Lovely setting however, cleanliness was lacking."

empty bottles of cleaner in cupboard, loose rice on shelf. Thick cobwebs throughout, skirting boards full of dog hair. Rubbish strewn in the outside space, broken trampoline. Would have been nice for a welcome pack. We have been to lots of cottages and this is the only one not to do this. This is constructive critism for the price, you really need to address these issues. this is a quick fix. Helen

  • "A lovely stay at Beekeepers Cottage."

Very peaceful surroundings where you can just relax and unwind. Sadly the weather wasn’t always great (Storm Agnes thrown into the mix) but we manage to visit a few places on the better days. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable which still made those ‘days in’ enjoyable. We had one issue with no gas or hot water but this was swiftly rectified for us. The homemade welsh cakes were lovely too! Thank you!

This is a lovely, homely cottage in a great rural location but still handy for all our favourite places in the area, Tenby, Freshwater East, Stackpole, Angle. It was lovely to return to the cottage and relax after our days out in the sunshine and a special treat was the homemade, delicious welshcakes!

Unsafe in places (rusty, broken handle fixings on bath, and broken stair gate). Sofa and cushions dirty and ripped in several places. Lumpy, saggy mattress. Feels like a place the owner stores things they no longer want (toys and household items). Cracked sink in bathroom. Poor WiFi and no power for several hours on 2 days of our stay. No radio or cd player. Could be so much nicer than it is.

But it is in need of some tlc. The bathroom tile grouting is grubby and the step into and out of the bath is awkward as it is very high. The sink is cracked (I believe this was noted in a previous review). The kitchen is well stocked. The owner made us some Welsh cakes which were very nice.

Located on a small hobby farm, just a few minutes drive from Pembroke, Wales. The pet-friendly cottage is well equipped with everything my wife and I needed for a comfortable and romantic stay. In fact, it was so cozy, we almost chose to remain indoors the entire time just to soak in its peaceful and cozy ambiance. That said, we did make day trips to the seaside villages of St. David’s and Tenby, both which are about an hour drive away in opposite directions. We would definitely choose to stay here if we’re event in Pembroke again.

Lovely quaint cottage and good location for beaches and castles. Comfortable and welcoming owners the Welsh cakes were gorgeous. Would suggest a rearrange of sofas as hard to see tv in their current position. Another suggestion would be a coat rack as there is nowhere to hang coats. We were lucky with the weather being dry but if it had been set this could have been a problem. We really enjoyed our stay at Beekeepers and hope to come back again next year.
