"The cottage location and layout are lovely."
In terms of cleanliness?, it needs some attention to detail.
There were a lot of cobwebs in corners, on beams, behind doors etc and when I pulled up the blind in one of the bedrooms, it was covered with cobwebs and littered with dead flies.
There was a strong smell of soot throughout the property which we couldn't counter as we could only open two of the windows. The remainder appeared to be painted shut, is this a hazard? The blinds in all windows were extremely dusty.
The kitchen was well equipped but again, lacked attention to detail. Lots of the crockery was badly chipped, which whilst there was just the two of us didn't present a major problem. If the accommodation was full to capacity, would be an issue.
Suggest some blackout blinds or curtains in the bedrooms.

"I am not sure how much of our lovely stay in Pembrokshire was thanks to Ramsey Cottage sadly."
To start the address for the cottage is incorrect on the website. The check in and check out times differ on each area of the website page also. Upon arrival, ample parking and the property is set in an undeniably beautiful location. But our first observation of Ramsay Cottage was how long the grass was in the garden. We ended up asking one of the neighbours who lived on site to mow it for us when he was doing his own lawn. To add to that we believe there is Giant Hogweed growing in the courtyard which is in fact poisonous! A matter of hours after we arrived the WiFi went down and never came back on again in the four days we were there. So we are in the middle of nowhere with no signal or WiFi... We contacted the owner on multiple occasions but it never got sorted. We gave up in the end. There was no 'welcome pack' on arrival which is a given in every other cottage we have stayed in. Only one tea towel and no cleaning products or black bags. How are we meant to leave the property as we found it if there are no cleaning materials to do so? Also, a little odd to be asked to strip the beds, but hey ho! Having read all the previous reviews, I'd hoped they might have been acted upon but sadly not. Our stay in Pembrokshire was wonderful, and Ramsey Cottage could be absolutely stunning. It is a gorgeous little cottage, very clean and well presented but improvements overall needed.

"This property was good value for money within 20 mins of the Skomer Island ferry."
We did have problems with the WiFi in that it switched off between 9.00-10.00 each evening and not coming on again until 8.00-9.00 each morning. This was reported to the owner but did not get a response..
Hi! Thank you for sharing your feedback. Again, we are sorry about the wifi problems you experienced. We tried to contact the provider but did not get a response - we will try to rectify the issue asap so this does not happen again.

Maintained to a high standard. Sykes need to update website pictures as children’s play area no longer in use. 1 small towel provided/ person hand towels provided too, this was not clear on Sykes website. Lovely quiet area close to local beaches.

"Wonderful property have already recommended it to a friend who is looking for the perfect place to stay and explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast and countryside."
The property has everything and more you could need for an amazing break, well equipped kitchen, great bathroom with fantastic shower, bedrooms well appointed and the property was immaculately clean on our arrival with easy access along with a secure garden which again was perfect for our dogs.
Ideally situated for the beach which is a very short walk away (which our dogs loved) the Pembrokeshire coastal path is also only a short walk away and affords the possibility for both short and long walks.
10 out of 10 from us we will definitely be visiting again.

"This is a beautiful rural place to stay, the beach is a short walk down the hill our dogs loved it ."
There is a pub and social club about 1.5 miles away around a 30min walk. The few locals we met were all very friendly. The caretaker of cottage was a lovely chap very helpful showed us how to work heating etc as it was Christmas break we needed it. The cottage has everything you need for a family stay it is maintained to a high standard no expense has been spared with fixtures and fittings.
We loved our stay and hope to return again maybe in the summer .
We really appreciate your feedback and so happy you loved your stay at the cottage.

"It was a shame that previous feedback had not been acted on as the instructions for finding the cottage were of no use."
The access to the internet was not clear and the code sent out by Sykes was incorrect, Upper case/ lower case wrong. The sykes website contradicts itself by in one place saying towels are provided and in another that they were not. On ringing the owner we were told to bring towels only to find on arrival towels on every bed. We were told the loose toilet seat would be fixed at changeover, lets hope it was, as it actually fell of towards the end of our stay. All these issues marred what would have been a lovely base from which to explore Pembrokeshire.

"We had a really nice stay, however, please take into account the following remarks."
Please call the property location "Skerryback Farm Cottages", this is listed on google maps and would make finding the property a lot more easy. The description of the route on the website is missng a whole part, the last bit, which is very important!
The wifi was a staggering 5 pound a day! And there was no mobile network reception in the cottage, so no 4g...
The pots and pans and cutlery are hardly enough for making dinner for 2 let alone for 6, which is the amount of people that can comfortably sleep in the cottage.

"We had a very enjoyable stay at Ramsey, the cottage has been renovated to a very high standard."
We took my elderly parents with us, it would’ve been helpful if there was a grab rail in the shower. Something to consider.
The reason I gave a four was for the outside of the property. I think by weeding and fixing the wooden gate this would improve the appearance so much!
Also, the sky light window in the kitchen ceiling is leaking, not sure if this has already been drawn to your attention. Many thanks Paula
Thank you so much for your feedback! We value your feedback and will act upon some of the points raised, We hope that you stay at our cottage again.

"The address given by Sykes was incorrect."
It should be Skerryback farm cottages and not Sandy Haven farm. Lovely peaceful location, property was clean, warm and comfortable. Enjoyed the enclosed garden and gas BBQ. Garden gate needs fixing though. Shame there was no welcome information at all. So missed having any useful local information on the area. Also no information about the recycling process or other information about the property eg. what to do on departure day with bed linen. Confusion about the WIFI and whether it was £5 extra per day. This was resolved quickly by Sykes. Limited cooking equipment.
