"Cottage was very clean and comfortable Full instructions for operation of equipment and local amenities was comprehensive and easy to follow."
Highly Recommended Would go back with no hesitation

"We have just returned from a lovely stay at Driftwood."
The house is just perfect. It was spotless, with comfy beds and seaside decoration. I booked for 6 as I thought my family were coming too, with just the 2 of us it was spacious. The only thing that would have been nice after a 8 hour journey would have been a pint of milk for a brew. If my family come I would book again.

"Lovely property."
Our only issue was that it needs to be clearer that it's a very steep, long hill into and back from Saundersfoot center.

"Cottage was very nice but there were a few things that could be improved: 1."
Lots of rubbish & recycling not collected ; Plastic containers & bottles strewn round the garden along with paper which we picked up. There was also lots of wine & glass bottles on the floor falling out of 2 plastic bags. There was 2 bags of rubbish in the general rubbish bin also. We did inform the owner. 2. There were cats everywhere - on the doorstep, in the back garden & also lying on our car out the front. 3. We came back one day & there was a van parked in our space no 5 however after a short while it was moved. 4. The king size bed was really uncomfortable as it sunk when we got in - it gave us no support so resulted in giving us back ache the next day. The pillows were too thin so gave us neck ache too. Suggest a brand new mattress & decent pillows are required. The holiday on the whole was ok and the cottage was situated close to amenities and a great base to start from when visiting other areas.

"This is the second my partner and o have stayed at this property with our 2 dogs."
Absolutely love the house! It has everything you want and need, home from home, if you will. Very clean, so comfortable and just a lovely place. Can’t recommend this property enough. The location is also fantastic, as it is just a 5 minute drive down to the picturesque Saundersfoot bay and is local to the amazing Tenby, which has an outstanding sandy beach. We haven’t been back from driftwood house a week yet and are already looking to book again!

"Plenty of room for the 3 of us plus dog."
The garden is enclosed so good for the dog. Toilet is noisy when refilling. Well located for Saundersfoot you can walk it but is hilly we managed it but was a pull.
-
"When entering the house it was clean and tidy except for the conservatory which had quite a few cobwebs."
Kitchen had all the basic items. Only used the double bedroom, bed very comfortable. The bathroom shower seal and shower mat needs replacing and it has the noisiest toilet I have ever heard. The garden needs cleaning up was going to use cushions on chairs outside but when opened box they were covered in cobwebs and dust, saying that it was fully enclosed and private. The main disappointment was the location. The cul de sac looked quite rundown, and although mentioned a short walk into village nothing quite prepared us for the hill to walk down into Saundersfoot, we are active but only once did we walk back up.
-
"Lovely long weekend spent at Driftwood House."
We had everything we needed (except perhaps some milk in the fridge on arrival). Good outdoor space to make use of the sunny weather and all enclosed which was great for the dogs. Well located and a 20 min walk to the beach.
-
"A really lovely stay at Driftwood."
Excellent downstairs, really lovely lounge/kitchen/conservatory. A little cosy upstairs, particularly in the bunk bed room. Converting the downstairs cupboard into a toilet would be excellent as 6 people for one bathroom is a push. Also a few more basics would be really helpful such as hand soaps etc. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Parking space outside is helpful. Garden is lovely. Addition of a BBQ would also be great for summer nights. Thanks for a lovely stay.

"Beautiful cottage - great location, would recommend and come again"
-
"Very well equipped cottage."
Very quiet and has easy access to the surrounding areas. Beds comfy. Large living room comfortable sofas. Would highly recommend.
-
"Driftwood House was very clean, well equipped and furnished to a high standard."
Check in information from the owner was great and there is a dedicated parking spot right outside. The location is good, it's a 15 minute walk down into Saundersfoot and the beach. We stayed with our two kids (and dog) over the Easter holiday and everyone loved it! There is loads to do in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it makes a great base to explore Pembrokeshire.

"Driftwood house was warm and very comfortable."
I had not taken a cottage before and was initially anxious. The moment I entered the beautifully decorated Driftwood House my worries were allayed. There was everything I needed for a home from home holiday. Superb

"Had a lovely relaxing week staying in Driftwood."
Beautiful accommodation. Warm and cozy. Excellent facilities with everything you needed to hand. Quiet location just a short distance from shops and restaurants in Saundersfoot. Would definitely book again in the new year
-
"Great comfortable cottage with parking in quit area half mile from town."
Great choice
-
"The property was very clean and welcoming."
It was a short walk to saundersfoot, which was quite steep on the way back but we both made it ok even though we are seniors. The only criticism was that the locks to the front door and the patio doors were very awkward and need attention. We were also disappointed that there was no hair drier. Apart from those minor things we thought that it was good value for money.

"We visit Saundersfoot every year, so know the area well."
This lovely house was situated just up the hill from Saundersfoot. A 5 minute drive, or you could walk. It's all down hill into Saundersfoot, but although quite steep to walk back up, it is do-able. There was a little mix up when we arrived, as clean bedding hadn't been provided, but a quick message to the very friendly owners and it was all sorted promptly. We would definitely stay here again.
-
"It could definitely benefit from a proper clean, it's okay on face value but certainly isn't properly clean - mould around the window frames, cobwebs everywhere etc."
It's a nice house and good if you just want to use it as a base but you wouldn't want to sit on the sofas for long as they're not very comfortable. New mattresses are desperately needed, the one in the main room is very hard but one of the mattresses in the twin room is so bad you can feel every spring just by running your hand over it.
-
"Lovely dog friendly property."
Pleasantly pleasing deco very clean and added conservatory a bonus. Still plenty of outdoor space. Recommended.
-
"Excellent location for visiting Saundersfoot and Tenby."
Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely book here again.
-
"Driftwood House was a lovely base to explore the area, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay"
-
"Double bed mattress awful."
.needs replacing. 10 minute walk to the seafront yes! 1 hour to walk back up the steep hill not mentioned. This walk is not attempted by the locals, they catch the bus back.
-
"This property had everything you could need, it was well situated for Saundersfoot and also Tenby."
The house was well equipped, inside and out.
-
"The house was spotlessly clean and the housekeeper lives 2 doors away, which would have made any issues easy to resolve had we had them."
We were greeted with milk and toilet rolls, which was thoughtful. We made contact with the owner as the heating didn’t seem to be coming on and it was resolved in a matter of minutes by a quick simple text message. Very happy with the welcome and the response. Lovely and warm thereafter in the cool weather. Felt like the carpets had just been replaced, which was also nice under foot.. Third bedroom was quite small, with bunks, so only really suitable for young children but the outside space much bigger than it looks on the photographs - just note that there are a few steps to the property from the reserved parking space, in case of mobility issues.
-
"Location was great, twice someone parked in our space which was allocated to our house."
Washing machine seem to be broken, was told it still works but you have to slam the door, still it was broken and not working at all, so that was a disappointment. The conservatory had cobwebs all over and very dirty, under the furniture. Back garden was covered in weeds. Bathroom upstairs no heating, so mould was starting to appear on the wall. Saw someone walking around the back of the house at night and left the back gate open. Overall the rest of the house was ok.
-
"This house on arrival was extremely dirty, and needed sanitising, which amid Covid-19 is very disappointing!"
We were given many rules to follow because of this situation and I feel it’s very wrong to not keep the families who are staying in the houses safe too! My cloths came up absolutely black! The garden is very dilapidated and furniture was filthy. Pictures on website are old. The hot water is absolutely scalding, so be very careful with young children.
-
"Driftwood House is a lovely place to stay located in a quite cul-de-sac and a short walk down to the harbour."
Ideally located for some great coastal walks or traveling further a field to explore south Wales. Val the house keeper lives nearby and is very friendly and helpful.
-
"Very well equipped house, lovely decor and immaculately clean"
-
"The kitchen was extremely well equipped."
Everything we could possibly need was there. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels supplied. The housekeeper, Val, lives nearby, and was very welcoming and helpful. She left milk and welshcakes for us on arrival, which was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend this property.
-
"Rusty barbeque, overgrown garden, dirty bathroom, poor repairs to broken features"

"Very pleased on entering the property."
Spacious open plan living with plenty of seating and good sized kitchen area. The property was spotlessly clean. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and Welsh cakes very much appreciated after our journey. Excellent outside amenities and with a secure garden ideal for our little dog. This is a property I would recommend to anyone.
-
"Excellent location."
Spotlessly clean. Everything we had hoped for. Highly recommend Driftwood.
-
"Really lovely long weekend with our puppy Coco."
Lovely host, and housekeeper. We will be back soon. Highly recommend.
-
"The owners were lovely."
They tastefully decorated the house and also left a lovely welcoming hamper for us. The property was exceptionally clean and tidy and very well equipped. They stressed to us that we should ring them at any time if there were any problems. There were none. A beautiful house in a quiet but convenient location. The few neighbours we met were very friendly. A wonderful place to stay.

"Perfect location"

"Driftwood cottage is the perfect place to spend a South Wales holiday."
Exceptional in cleanliness and all the facilities you need. It was our 2nd visit and will not be our last. Thank you driftwood you are perfect.
-
"The main thing we liked about the property is that it was extremely clean, Val who looks after the house does a very good job."
She is also very helpful. The garden is enclosed so suitable for a dog although it could do with tidying. The lock on the rear door on the conservatory is extremely stiff I couldn't open it and had to get my husband to open it every time. There was also no instructions for the appliances and as they are all different it was a bit hit or miss we never did manage to get the tv downstairs working! The walk down to Saundersfoot is via a very steep hill. There are some lovely beaches and National Trust properties a short car drive away.
-
"House keeper lives near and is very helpful"
-
"This was ideal for us being a couple with a large dog."
If it was for a family, they would struggle with just one loo. Could consider putting an extra loo in the hall way. Other than that - the place was great - clean and well set up with everything you would need. Garden nice and good for dogs and children, Felt very homely - would recommend.

"I was misled in the booking process."
I think the details will be logged. We did manage to sort it out with some compromise but it was inconvenient I have been on many good quality self catering holidays and so my comments are an informed comparison with other cottages and companies I have stayed with. The house itself was clean and warm. It was functional but didn't have any of the extras I would expect for the price we paid. Calling the house a cottage is misleading because the house is in a modern cul de sac of standard properties. My main complaint was the size of the third bedroom, about 6 by 5 foot with a bunk bed that took all the space. As the 5th single adult I had to sleep on the top bunk because my adult children were in couples and couldn't be expected to use that room. This needs to be made much clearer on the details and reflected in the price.Lots of small things; No bin liners, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets.Unclear rubbish disposal instructions. No details about local supermarket. Details all 2015. Home owner contacted me directly with a list of "rules" about 2 weeks before our visit. Some were irrelevant, like dog instructions. Also instructed us to strip the beds which I decided was unreasonable given the amount we were paying. The location was good although I was disappointed we didn't have sea view. I asked for a sea view on the Sykes cottage selection page The house is a 20 minute walk down/up hill into town which needs to be made clear. We did have a good holiday and I would return to Saundersfoot and Tenby. I would not go back to the house since I dont believe it was value for money.

"We had a great break in a superb location."
Will probably book again next year. Thanks again
-
"House was an ideal holiday base and the house keeper who lived near by was very helpful and made sure everything was ok for us, one of the most lovely people we met on our holiday."
-
"Thank you. We had a great holiday and house was just as advertised."
Good communication before from sykes cottages. It was very easy and stress free.
-
"Home from home."
Really enjoyed our stay nice area very quiet. Val is a friendly and helpful person . All in all a very good stay.
-
"Once we got over the initial rules for the cottage it was wonderful."
When I first read all the rules I thought I would not dare to breath in there. Just a little over the top on rules and regulations folks.
-
"The house was great, quiet, comfortable with great facilities."
Even the sharp kitchen knives were very sharp, something not often found in rental properties. Whilst the house is only .6 mile from the centre of Saundersfoot, it's a very steep hill to walk down and back up, so it meant that we used the car more often than we normally would like to. The house was very pet friendly with a good fenced garden for the dog to roam. The nearby presence of Val, the housekeeper was good and she was very helpful with local knowledge etc. All in all, a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful house.
-
