  • "What a beautiful holiday home, we didn't want to leave."

Had everything you could wish for and more, great garden for the dog and in a very peaceful setting and only a 10 minute walk to Saundersfoot. We can't wait to come back.

Thank you very much for your feedback and ratings, it means a lot to us when people enjoy Pinewood as much as we have. Property Owner

  • "Very well equipped property."

Room sizes are spacious. Good sized bath with shower. Bed comfortable. Large windows are great for garden views and natural light for reading. The road is tight for maneuvering, we found driving into the down the road parking area then reversing up to the front of the property parking area worked well. Great location 2.5 miles from Tenby, short walk through the hilly woodland path to Saundersfoot.

Many thanks for your feedback and ratings, we really appreciate it, and we’re delighted that Pinewood met your expectations. The lane is narrow, but it sounds like you found a good solution! Property Owner

  • "Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again for the great location."

Great place to stay with dogs as it’s only a short walk to the beautiful beach (large dog friendly section of beach to enjoy). Everything great for us with the accommodation apart from the parking which was a bit tricky with a big car on the narrow lane but doable. Fence erected during our stay to help keep dogs safer as the bottom of the garden slopes down towards quite a busy road. Beautiful garden to sit out in after a day exploring this beautiful area.

Thank you so much for your feedback and ratings, we really appreciate you taking the time to respond to the survey. We’re doing our best to make the garden as safe as possible for dogs. I’m not sure we can ever give a 100% secure guarantee, but hopefully the new fencing will help owners feel more comfortable. You’re right about the narrow lane, it sounds like you got the knack of using the parking bay by the garden. Many thanks again. Property Owner

  • "We found Pinewood to be quite spacious, the photographs don't really do the property justice."

Its in a fairly quiet location which was just what we wanted. We found the property was well equipped and very clean. The garden is well kept and the grandchildren spent many hours there when we weren't out and about. Pinewood is close to Saundersfoot Town centre, beach and other local attractions. Thanks for the advice about where to visit and eat Alexis and Al. The Mulberry is a little gem, one of the best Sunday roasts you'll find anywhere. Can't wait to book Pinewood again next year if it's available. P.s. thanks for the chocolate cookies on arrival, much appreciated.

We’re so glad your trip went well, it sounds like all the generations got what they wanted. Many thanks also for the ratings and the comments, all much appreciated. My mouth is watering at the memory of the Mulberry Sunday roast… Property Owner

  • "Well, what a gem of a place!"

Unusually, it is much nicer in actuality than the on-line photos make it appear. Fabulous garden, with plenty of space for the dog, and in the sun for almost the entire day. Large parking spot towards the end of a quiet residential lane. The house is spacious, very comfortable and well-appointed (but be sure to read the manual before trying to find the cutlery drawer!). Wifi speed was good, and the TV has an Amazon Fire-stick if you want to watch your streaming channels. The house overlooks the main road from Saundersfoot to Tenby, but traffic noise is unobtrusive, even in the garden, and unnoticeable from inside. It's a ten minute walk down TO the town centre and beaches, but quite a lot longer on the way back - it is a bit of a brute of a hill! (There's a very frequent bus service though, that stops outside the garden gate of the house if you're feeling lazy coming back). Absolutely nothing we could pick fault with, and a very great deal to commend it. We had a very pleasant, comfortable stay in a place that immediately felt like home, and will definitely be revisiting.

Many thanks for your comments, we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback for others who are considering booking Pinewood. You’re not the first to mention the reality vs the online photos, so we’re going to have to update the pictures on the website! Sadly, not much we can do about the steepness of St Brides Hill, though… Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay, cottage had everything we needed."

Parking was tight for a larger car, only slight irritation was having to watch dogs whilst in the garden as the garden is not fully secure on the main road side.

We’re glad you enjoyed your stay and that Pinewood had what you needed. Many thanks for your feedback. We recognise that the garden is not 100% secure against adventurous dogs finding gaps in the hedges and shrubs. We’re having extra fencing installed, but we would still recommend owners keep an eye on their dogs, just in case they find a gap we hadn’t closed. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay for my birthday, 4 adults, 2 large doggos and a 1 year old!"

Lovely spacious accommodation, garden lovely, lucky we had big dogs as I’d be worried about a little dog getting out of one area of the garden. The pictures don’t do the accommodation justice, it looks like a galley kitchen but it’s a lovely space with dining table and armchairs which meant we could hang out while cooking. Short walk to the centre of the town and lovely walk through the woods and down onto gown beach and across to saundersfoot at low tide. Great walk to the wiseman’s bridge, even tho the tunnel was closed we went up and over in the woods, was a bit steep with the baby on our backs in a backpack but well worth it for a good walk a pint and chips (albeit in the rain as no room inside for the dogs) Would love to return. Thank you!

Thanks so much for your feedback, we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay. Well done on attempting the cliff-top route to Wiseman’s Bridge, glad you got your reward! We’re having some new fencing installed at the bottom of the garden but sadly I’m not sure we will ever be able to guarantee it is totally secure. We recommend owners keep a close eye on their dogs. • "Lovely accommodation, well equipped and good location."

Generally clean although some skirting boards could do with a wipe down. Main drawback for us was the beautiful garden wasn't secure for adventurous dogs, especially as close to a main road. A bit of a pain having to put them on a lead every time they wanted to go out.

Thank you for your feedback. I’ve noted the issue on the skirting boards and will discuss that with the cleaning company. On the garden, I fully appreciate the concern. We are having some additional fencing installed but I’m reluctant to say it will be fully enclosed and 100% secure for dogs, because a very ambitious dog may still find a way through some of the bushes. I hope these points didn’t impact your holiday too much and again thank you for the feedback. Property Owner

We walked every day down to saundersfoot on the trail just opposite the house to the beach and back, we also went to Tenby where walking South beach is fantastic. If you fancy a meal out the Billy can in Tenby was superb. We have visited this area many times but would definitely come back to this house. Thanks again. Learne and family.

  • "Pinewood is a beautiful roomy place to stay."

The views must be spectacular in the summer. The garden is nice if a little steep but is negotiable via the gravel/shingle path. We were 2 couples and two dogs staying and there was lots of room to sit together or separately if you wished. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, good selection of cooking equipment along with a 50:50 fridge freezer. Lovely kitchen with plenty of storage. Parking for 3 cars but the lane is narrow. So take your time getting in and out. My only comment would be the lack of toilet tissue and hand soap in the bathroom, so take some with you, rather than unpack your car and then having to pop out to get these essentials. The mop was absent so I couldn’t mop through which I would have preferred to do as the weather wasn’t brilliant and with 4 adults and two lively dogs there were footprints on the wood flooring, but I let the owner know as he had emailed me direct and was fine with this. Beds were comfortable and it was nice and warm to come back to after a blustery run with the dogs on the beach.

We're really pleased that your trip went well. We also very much appreciate the feedback - we have some time at Pinewood ourselves in a couple of weeks time and we will definitely sort out the mop & bucket. There should be toilet tissue and hand soap in the bathroom, but we will stock up again and remind our cleaning team to check. Property Owner

  • "Pinewood is a gorgeous cottage in a wonderful location."

It is well maintained and very clean, comfortable and spacious inside with a beautiful garden outside. I was a bit concerned about the garden not being ‘fully enclosed ‘ and have chatted to the owner about this, but it didn’t by any means spoil our stay here. We have two mad escaping spaniels and they will find the smallest gap in a hedge so we did keep them on their leads when we sat outside. Parking is tight at the front of the property but we parked at the back of the cottage where there is space for two cars and it’s much easier to get in and out. We found we hardly used the car all week because the location is ideal for walking to Saundersfoot, Wiseman’s Bridge, Amroth, Tenby and beyond and you can always catch the bus back if you need it! There is also a lovely wooded path down to Glen Beach, which is dog friendly, and where you can stroll along to Monkstone Beach at the tip of the headland when the tide is low. We have had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Pinewood and would happily return in the future.

The garden was lovely and the property spotless. It was quite a steep walk up the hill back to Pinewood which we were OK with but maybe not for someone with walking difficulties although there was a bus stop not far from the property.

Many thanks for your feedback, we're glad you enjoyed your stay. The walk up St Bride's Lane is certainly on the steep side, though I've found it easier going up Broadfield Hill, the road that overlooks the harbour and goes past St Bride's Hotel. As you say the bus stop is just across the road from the house, so that's always an option. Property Owner

Thank you for the feedback, and we're glad that you enjoyed your break. We will definitely find some instructions for the Nespresso machine. The parking area outside the front of the house is small, I admit, but there is the large gravel parking area by the garden, for the exclusive use of Pinewood guests. This is useful for larger cars. Rubbish left by bin. Had to buy our own loo rolls. No response to my email to you regarding suitable compensation. Property itself was good and as described but the start and lack of response has obviously affected our view of the stay.

We'd like to apologise again for the disruption the start of your stay. Arriving at a property that has not been cleaned is obviously very disappointing. As you know, this was due to the previous guests getting confused about their departure date, which then led to a delay in the cleaning. The owner of the cleaning company visited you to apologise, offered a small gift of a bottle of wine, then completed the cleaning and restocking within a few hours. Our understanding is that the rest of your stay went well (but perhaps not the Pembrokeshire weather...), and we appreciated the positive personal feedback you sent us via txt. Property Owner
