"It was a beautiful cottage, everything good quality even the washing line."
The bed linen and towels were beautifully clean. We would go back here without hesitation, in fact we didn't want to leave
-
"The cottage was ok, few issues we reported on arrival."
The bedding stank terribly, went to wash it but the washer was broken. Lucky we had sleeping bags to use instead. Otherwise ok stay.

"An excellent holiday cottage, precisely as described."
Brilliant shower, unlike some holiday cottages with feeble electric showers. In the Sykes website you have missed a trick by not mentioning that there is a washing machine available to use.
Thanks Graham , so glad you enjoyed your stay and we will include the washing machine in our information from now on! Property Owner

"We had a very pleasant stay."
The cottage was neat and well appointed, and in a quiet location. The grounds were well kept. A few suggestions for improvement: the cottage was rather cold on arrival and took a while to warm up (we purchased wood for the wood burner). If the heaters could be turned up prior to guests' arrival in the winter months, that would make the first day of a stay more comfortable. Also, we would have preferred a harder mattress, although to some extent that is personal preference.
Dear Mette thank you for your feedback. I'm so sorry the cottage was a little on the cold side when you arrived. I've spoken to the cleaning team and asked that they can ensure the heating is turned up for when guests arrive. Thanks again for your feedback. Property Owner

"The property has been very recently refurbished to a high and pleasing standard, well appointed and beautifully maintained."
The rooms were spotless and bright, the bed was very comfortable with more than enough bedding, the kitchen very well equipped with all you need for self catering. Everything about the cottage was delightful and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending a stay here. Thanks also to the cleaning staff who presented the cottage in such a spotlessly clean manner. As and when the Internet Service Provider improves the wireless signal, which is pretty much non-existent here, this will enable the service but I appreciate this is out of the hands of the property's owner and he, like all of us is in the hands of Openreach! Thank you to the owner, we will be back
Dear Nick Thank you so much for your feedback and I'm delighted that you loved the cottage and had a great stay there ! We look forward to seeing you again in the future ! Thank you again ! Property Owner

"Lovely cottage just needs a few tweaks."
Mainly the WiFi signal is non existent in the cottage - the only place to get signal was to go out into the courtyard…not great if it’s raining! A few extra larger bowls would be useful too for salads etc.
Dear Jackie Thank you for your feedback on Tree cottage . I am so glad you enjoyed your stay there. The Wifi since has had a major overhaul and is now working with a new service provider which we are delighted with ! We will indeed ensure there are more bowls in the cottage ! Thanks again JO Property Owner

"Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable, there was poor signal for the wifi, they should say this in the information provided to avoid frustration."
Dear Grace Thank you so much for your feedback on Tree cottage. We have since had a complete overhaul of the Wifi system and it is now working consistently ! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay there ! Thanks again ! Property Owner

"I didn't realise that it had that many steps up to the bedroom, my husband has parkinson's and struggles in the night to get to the toilet and I am waiting for a knee replacement, so we went home two days earlier because of it."
Thank you for your feedback - we are so sorry to read this. We will get the cottage description updated to avoid a repeat of this. Property Owner

"1, you advertised an electric car charging point which whilst it appears to be live is not yet recognised by the podpoint VendElectric network as it has not been registered."
Your response when told of this was poor in that no one came back to us on it 2. The front door key sticks and is difficult to lock particularly from inside ( both this and 1 above were raised by the previous visitors) 3 the toaster does not stay down and needs replacing. 4. The Wi fi keeps dropping out and involves numerous visits to the laundry room to reset.
Thank you for your feedback. Firstly BIG apologies about the EV charger. After installation, the back office management co changed. This change had to be configured at the charger. A contractor promised for 3-wks to do it, and let us down big time. I chased him daily whilst you were at the property. I thought you’d been informed. I apologise that you weren’t. We have now configured it ourselves and the charge point is live. We will get onto points 2 and 3 4. All the extenders in the cottages are wired. We have subscribed to the newly installed government funded fibre provider, but its reliability is proving to be highly variable. Sadly, there is little else available to us. Property Owner
