  • "We are hugely grateful for the accommodation and provisions during our stay."

There was certainly more provided than needed to keep us entertained for the 4 days we stayed. Great location with everything at a short walking distance. Dog friendly. Even though there is a huge works going on nearby, somehow the builders have made it work by being sensitive. (It is noted on the listing so no surprises for anyone booking). They help and give tips and keep noise down until you are moving about. Even help with rubbish collection and town recommendations.

  • "Beautiful lodge with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay."

Hot tub was great! Just a 10 minute walk into Tenby town which is full of great eating places. Bit of a steep slope down to the lodge but didn’t cause us any problem. Parking a bit tight! Lovely walk from Tenby to Saundersfoot which my miniature dachshund managed with no problems! Overall we had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend it.

  • "The cabin itself is a lovely holiday home."

It has lots of mod cons, is clean, spacious and well thought out. Really handy to have the washing machine, air con and of course the hot tub. However, we booked the holiday in the expectation of a peaceful and relaxing stay. When we arrived at the property the first view is that of a building site. On top of that the daily wake ups in the 7s to the noise of workmen, bobcat machines and power tools was very disappointing. We appreciate that work needs to be done but this is misleading as the work is not on a neighbouring property, it is on the same site. Having a hot tub is lovely but in the main we had to use this in the evening when the building work had stopped. Parking is also an issue. There is space for 2 vehicles but this is tight and the access is tricky. On numerous occasions my vehicle hit the underside of the road on exit as there is a dip in the road that cannot be avoided when work vehicles are parked and building materials are also in the way. The access down to the cabin is also steep and so not accessible for all. All I all when completed the site will be lovely and we can see the vision. However we were expecting, and paid for, the finished article which is not what we got and this is disappointing. We booked the holiday over a year ago and whilst there is now a line on Sykes' website to say there is work on 'a neighbouring property', we were not aware of this when the booking was made and would not have booked had we been aware. It is a lot of money to pay to have to then compromise on your holiday experience.

  • "A wonderful stay in beautiful accommodation."

The hot tub was an added bonus & occupied the kids on the rainy mornings. An easy 15 minute walk in to Tenby & North Beach & once you learn the short cuts, about 20-25 minutes walk to the dog friendly South Beach. A few steep steps to the accommodation. Really handy to have a washing machine & proper washing line & access to an electric car charger at a good rate. Dogs need to be kept on a long lead. Owners were really friendly & helpful. A wonderful week, would highly recommend.

  • "Really great place to stay."

Very comfy beds and sofa's, everything you could possibly need was available. Everything was finished to a great spec and totally loved our stay in "The Nest". Location is amazing - only 5-10 minute walk to Tenby and even closer to the North Beach (which was amazing). Hot Tub was brilliant and was used daily. I would fully recommend this property to anyone looking to holiday in the area.

The location was perfect for an easy stroll into town, as well as local shops. Some days were a bit rainy so it was great that the property is comfortable and spacious. Having a hot tub is a real treat.

  • "Great location, nice lodge that's very well equipped with mod cons, alexa controls lights etc etc."

Hot tub would have been nicer a degree or two higher temperature, not sure the hot tub was checked in the 3 days we were there for chlorine levels etc, the water was looking dirty when we left. We did have to run the plates and cups through the dishwasher as they were dirty when we arrived but not a problem. Other that that a great lodge, 10min walk into tenby. Car parking etc not a issue. Would deffo return.

The hot tub is regularly cleaned and checked but if guests have concerns they should contact us during their stay, as explained in the welcome pack. We do expect crockery to be returned to the cupboards in a clean condition ready for the next guests. Property Owner

The property was spotless and they kindly converted the single beds into a super king for us. It was perfect. Everything you needed was there. You are walking distance into Tenby. We would recommend packing an extra towel each to use for the hot tub.

  • "A beautiful, comfortable and clean cabin that has every mod con you could need."

It has been beautifully furnished and finished. The showers are strong and hot (important after a day on the beach or sightseeing!) and the beds are soft and comfortable. We had mixed weather while staying and the underfloor heating and air con meant we were always comfortable. The hot tub is brilliant and instructions for its use and everything else are provided and easy to follow. Whilst dogs are allowed I wouldn’t call it dog friendly only because the garden is not enclosed. It would make such a difference to have the garden, or even just the deck, enclosed so that on a nice day you can take advantage of the bifold doors and the dogs can just run in and out. Mentioned on other feedback are the steps from the car park, these are very high as are the couple in the cabin but not a problem if fully able and mobile. A great location only 10 mins walk into the centre of Tenby and beaches. We hope to come again.

  • "This was a lovely place to stay which was very close to town and had everything we needed, infact we parked the car and left it for the duration of our stay!"

The hot tub was lovely and warm and the accomodation very new and modern and welcoming. If you do have a dog then please be aware the garden is not fenced off in places so we had to keep.ours on a lead to stop her wandering off. They had one of those metal screw things which we used which gets screwed into the ground then you attach a lead.

  • "Fabulous property, so close to North Beach, our only suggestion would be a box outside for the patio cushions as they were sodden after the storm and bad weather and it took us 4 days to dry them out so we couldn't use them at all but a storage box would be so useful."

We will definitely be back as its perfect!

  • "Superb property."

They’ve thought of everything. Really high standard. Would definitely go again. There’s currently building works on a neighbouring property, but the insulation is so good you can’t hear them, and the spot is secluded enough that you don’t see them. The access to the property is tricky, I damaged the underside of my car on entry to the car park (big dip in the pavement, that was hard to spot)

  • "The house itself was excellent, it was modern, very well kitted out with everything we could possibly need which we really appreciated."

The staff were friendly & helpful. However it wasn’t very private, blinds on the side windows/screen fencing would’ve prevented the people in the next cabin from watching us in the evenings & when using the bathroom at night. We did not appreciate next doors dog running straight through the patio doors into our kitchen & bedroom & think the gardens should be enclosed for this reason. The uneven steps & steep bank down to the cottage were difficult as I have mobility issues, this should’ve been clearer in the listings. A handrail down the steep hill would help others. The parking was very difficult, the spaces were too small, the turning space & entrance blocked very frequently with cars & lorries. We couldn’t use the outside seating & hot tub as we wanted & had to keep doors closed because of all the building noise & smoke billowing from the building site which was part of the property. We understood this work needed to be done but it was very unfair to expect paying guests to put up with it on their holiday!! I think the listing price should be reduced until the work is completed as unfortunately we did not have the quality of holiday that we paid for. For this reason we will not be back or recommending which is a shame.

Thankyou for your feedback. We have modified the listing so that the steps are now highlighted. Unfortunately your stay coincided with a busy week with the house renovation which is up by the car park and separate from where the cabins are. We have ensured that site fires will no longer take place during guest stays. Property Owner

  • "The interior steps are quite steep."

And an awning might help stop the reflection on the TV. Our dogs found it easy to run down the hill through the hedge to meet the dogs in the other cabin, which was annoying. All in all, we loved it. It has been really carefully thought out. Thanks for a lovely break. ☺️

  • "This is a lovely property, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and everything you would need during your stay."

There is a small outside area with garden furniture and a hot tub in our opinion the hot tub was slightly cold but this is a minor issue. Tenby centre is a 10 mins walk down a not too steep hill. If we are in the area again we would definitely return.
