  • "This is a wonderful place."

The location is great and the property is exactly as described. It’s clean, comfortable and perfect for pets. The owners provide welcome comforts for pets and owners such as Prosecco, dog biscuits and bowls. We found that someone was parking in the properties designated spot when we arrived, not a big problem as the multi story around the corner is close and offers weekly tickets for £30. However the owner contacted us after a couple of nights to let us know they had asked the person to move. They really didn’t have to do that as we had not complained so it was nice for them to do that for us. Just one real tip, read the recycling instructions before binning anything! They are super helpful as the regime in Tenby is quite complex. Would absolutely stay here again.

It was very homely and comfortable with all that you could possibly need to hand. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and thought the dog basket was a lovely touch.

  • "What a beautiful house in an exquisite location, so close to the town and beaches and surrounding walks."

Myself, my daughter and grandchildren had a wonderful week again at Barafundle House. The house is very roomy, clean, has all the facilities you could ever need and is indeed a 'home from home' while you are away. This was our second visit to Barafundle House and I hope it will not be our last. The owners have done a superb job in every aspect of the property's role as a holiday rental home. I can find nothing to be critical about and I highly recommend Barafundle House as a holiday stay. Booking through Sykes Cottages was also an easy task. Wished I was still there.

Peaceful location in town. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the owner left lots of info about the cottage and things to do around. We had a great time and absolutely love Tenby.

  • "Wonderful stay over Christmas at Barafundle House."

We visit Tenby at least twice a year, and out of all the places we've stayed, I think this is the one that we'd always prefer to return to. It's a real home from home, a beautiful house that is extremely well kitted out. You'll want for nothing here, and it's so nice (and rare in Tenby centre) to have some outside space too, especially with dogs. Location is perfect. Turn left out of the front door and in 5 mins you are on South beach. Turn right out of the front door and you've reached North beach even quicker. A little gem that's actually not so little....it's a very spacious house inside. Can't recommend Barafundle enough, and will definitely return. Thanks to the hosts for providing everything you could possibly need, including the most incredibly comfy bed in the Master bedroom. Fantastic place.

  • "Loved this house , near the town, & beaches, sainsburys just 5 min walk."

Managed to park my car in the street , limited spaces , but we were lucky to get one right opposite barafundle house. On entering the property it was very clean on arrival , nice & roomy , bed very comfy , I had the king size or it could be 2 single , very quirky, the sauna was lovely, I didn't use it but few of them did in the family, & their feed back was it was good. Lovely enclosed garden for the dogs, I will definitely be returning here. Lovely find Thank you

Very quiet location & parking space was a bonus. Our only downside of this property was its cleanliness- kitchen utensils, bathroom were filthy. The outside space is lovely but needs a good tidy.. It wasn't possible to use the outside dining table because of overgrown trees & bushes.

  • "Cannot fault Barafundle House, so comfortable with everything you need including a coffee machine which was a great surprise and welcome bonus."

5 mins walk from beach and everything on your doorstep. The only thing that I missed was having a separate shower attachment on the bath so I could wash my hair without taking a shower but hardly a deal breaker! Tenby is gorgeous and the beaches are breath-taking, very dog friendly as was Barafundle House with dark carpets and wooden floors and a welcome pack for us and the dog!

It was very well equipped and had useful baby gate for keeping dogs in the kitchen/outdoor area. Our first visit to Pembrokeshire - Tenby is fantastic; sandy beaches, blue calm sea and NO LITTER anywhere. Plenty of good restaurants. We travelled around the area to do 5 mile(ish) walks with dogs and coastline is stunning. One of our favourite UK holidays.

TENBY

Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.

The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic! The perfect location for an enjoyable and varied holiday.
