• "The cottage was beautifully clean with a lovely outdoor space and the owner very welcoming."

  The only reason I have given a 4 and not 5 star is that we found the bed uncomfortable. I think it could do with a topper or the mattress replacing. Also the property is described as having steep steps, it does indeed but the photo shows the steps from guest area to the garden, not the very steep steps to the actual property. We read the description, saw the steps to the garden and assumed these were the ones described and thought oh they’re ok. So maybe a photo showing the actual steps would be helpful. Having said that we had a great week and Charlecote House is lovely.

• "The owner was very friendly and met us to show us around the property and explained where everything was and how they worked."

  Impressed with cleanliness of the property and all the facilities. Was surprised that we were unable to turn the heating on and off, but this was not too much of a problem. The photograph used to advertise the property is very misleading as it shows the front of the owners property and not the property you are renting but the pictures of the inside shown where of the rented property.

I am sorry you thought Sykes listing was not accurate....The picture of our property was the property you stayed in? There are actually 2 pictures online of the outside patio area where your entrance is situated, 2 patio windows depicting where your lounge and bedroom are situated! As we are one single dwelling, I am aware that the heating is controlled by us upstairs however I always ensure you are aware heating can be provided anytime by a quick text.   ! We enjoyed being able to walk down into Saundersfoot which is a lovely seaside town with a huge sandy beach & harbour area too. Karen & Paul made us very welcome and gave us useful local information & where to visit. If the weather had been better we would have been able to enjoy the patio & garden more than we did, but we still enjoyed the peaceful location. We’d definitely stay here again if we decide to visit Pembrokeshire again in the future.

• "We arrived to a warm welcome from the owner who showed us around."

  We came down some very steep steps (just be careful if you have small children) to the patio garden which was lovely and well equipped. We then went inside the hall way to your left was a very open living room/dining and kitchen with a bathroom just off at the far end of the the room. To your right was a bedroom and en suite. We wasn't too sure how we were going to do the sleeping arrangements so took an airbed with us. But our 6 year old ended up having the bedroom to himself. My husband and myself tried to sleep in the sofa bed but didn't find it very comfortable so just slept on the sofa instead. The walk down into Saundersfoot was very easy to do if you didn't have a pram or a trolly full of beach stuff. Our child is autistic and we often take his special needs buggy out with us which was hard to do along this off the road path down to the beach. It was even harder pushing him back up on the path. It's quite a steep hill down into Saundersfoot itself. We decided to come home early, if it was just me and my husband we would of definitely stayed but the thought of a 6 hour car journey home and the weather not looking particularly nice for our sons birthday we came home on the Wednesday. All in all we would would recommend staying here. And we loved using the airfryer so much we bought ourselves one when we got back!

We were not made aware of any special needs. Unfortunately the steps are steep but they have anti slip bars and a substantial handrail. There is a lane that leads down into Saundersfoot for quicker access but alternatively you are able to either to walk down the main road, use your car or the regular bus service. Saundersfoot is a seaside resort and all roads and lanes lead in a downward direction to the sea. Thank you for his birthday picture opening our gift. Glad you arrived home safely. Property Owner

  The steps leading to the property may not suit somebody with mobility issues. Pleasant relaxing garden with lots of furniture. The hostess was extremely pleasant and helpful providing information on local amenities.

  The large and comfortable rooms lead on to a private patio, with views over the beautiful garden, which itself is bounded by a woodland stream.   The apartment is superb. It is very spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. The patio garden looks over the owner’s spectacular garden: an infinity garden view. The location is perfect being just a 10-minute walk from Saundersfoot centre with its essential shops and many lovely restaurants, plus the beach and harbour. There is also easy access to the rest of Pembrokeshire to explore. The hosts are really lovely people, generous and welcoming. We would very much recommend.

• "We had a lovely week in Saundersfoot in Charlecote House."

  The host met us at the door with a friendly greeting and made us feel at home immediately. She showed us all the facilities and gave us tips about the area eg where to eat, how to get to the village etc. The house was very spacious, light, airy and clean with everything we needed including dishwasher and washing machine which was very useful and had a great view onto the host's fabulous garden. There was secluded, outdoor seating area which you could make use of on a warm, summer's evening which is separate from the main garden. The house is located in a very is very peaceful cul-de-sac with easy walking distance to the village and beach. We would highly recommend this for a couples holiday in Pembrokeshire.

• "A very enjoyable stay in a very nice cottage annex with a beautiful garden."

  It was very peaceful and quiet and there was acres of room for 2 people. 2 minor issues would be that there is not enough cutlery for 2 people if using the dishwasher and there are no hooks to hang wet clothes on.

• "The accommodation is beautiful, and quiet with very comfortable furniture including the bed."

  We were made to feel very welcome and knew we would have received every assistance had we needed it. The house has a wonderful outlook down through the gardens and an added bonus is that users of the accommodation can walk through the owners' garden to access the footpath which considerably shortens the walk in to Saundersfoot. The only thing perhaps worth passing on to the owner as a possible improvement is that because the TV is wall mounted we could not access any ports at the back of the set to add our device through which we could have streamed some media. There isn't an accessible HDMI port at the side and there is no DVD player either and so we only had live television which we haven't watched for years. We had to watch our streaming services on a small tablet.

• "Lovely accommodation with plenty of space inside and out."

  Good location for exploring the area and within walking distance of Saundersfoot. Clients should be aware that there are a dozen steep steps down to the annex. There is a handrail but the steps are difficult to negotiate when carrying luggage etc.

• "Charlecote House is a beautiful property."

  We were greeted so warmly by the property owners and shown around on arrival and made to feel right at home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. The living room area is the highlight. it's so very spacious and was greatly appreciated by us as such a treat to spend time in as a family. The two bathrooms are well appointed with powerful showers. The kitchen had everything you could want for self catering. Bedroom is large with patio doors and a very comfortable bed. I usually find myself wakeful the first couple of nights in a new place but I honestly slept so soundly here. The sofa bed in the living room is more than adequate as a 2nd bed. The owners have covered the large patio area with Fake grass which makes for a really lovely setting with multiple seating/relaxing choices, even during a cool Easter break we spent a good amount of time out there. The added bonus is the owners stunning garden which you overlook, and the sound of the stream at the bottom of the garden.. Paradise! Saundersfoot Beach and harbour is just a 10 min walk away from the end of the road and the beach here is beautiful with Tenby not far away. This is the perfect base for any beach lovers holiday. The hosts made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and their warmth and kindness made this stay and extra special one.

• "We were very well received by the owners and were given welcome gifts by Karen and Paul."

  The accommodation was spacious and warm. We looked forward to returning to it each day.It was a short walk into town so was well positioned.
